I'm having the same problem as this guy.

I have a large number of open tabs in Firefox on my iPhone, a mixture of old and very old. I've been trying to go through the tabs and deal with them -- in some sense they are all todo items that I left open at least semi-deliberately.

If I tap on a thumbnail to load a tab, Firefox instead loads a blank page. If I tap the address bar after that, Firefox loads the new tab page, not the site corresponding to the tab that I selected. If I tap and hold a tab's thumbnail, Firefox crashes.

It was the case temporarily (possibly a bug) that some of these tabs would place a TLS failure icon in the left of the address bar when selected, while the blank page was displayed. Tapping on that would display the tab title, but not the tab URL. No longer is that TLS failure icon ever visible.

Hi @all, Such quite a while, Firefox almost constantly crashing when closing a or better the last open tab. Tried a support hint and deleted cache and everything and after that it worked for a few days and then it coming up again. When it happens, and I restart FF and try a logged in page directly, I.e. Facebook, FF doesn’t recognize my signin. Closing the tab, waiting a moment, restart the page again and everything is fine. Really don’t know when this behavior begun, but it is really annoying. I face this problem on 2 different iPad Pro. The newer one from last year with an M2 processor and an older one with an Axx don’t know which one exactly. What’s the matter with that? When i try and load a website, I get this message. I don't know why. Doesn't happen with other browsers. I haven't loaded anything new on Mozilla or my computer. No other issues on my computer, I have a new iMac.

It seems that this issue has been reported to Support in the past, in 2020 an in 2017. But the solutions do not apply to today. My Mozilla is updated and I feel my only recourse is to stop using Firefox. After 8 years using Firefox as my browser, I am sad to see it go.

If there is any support out there, I would truly appreciate it.

Frequently when I chose to close all tabs in Firefox, Firefox crashes. This happens independent of how many tabs I have open. When I close all tabs, this happens 40-50% of the time.

Ever since my IPad updated to iOS 17 I have had issues with Firefox crashing. I currently have iOS17.2 which fixed some other issues but not this issue. When it crashes and I go back in it will ask if I want to restore tabs, if I say no, then I get a new clean tab. However, the next time it crashes (which it will) and it asks to restore tabs, it restores tabs from the first time it crashed, not the current tabs I was on. I have deleted and reinstalled Firefox but it still crashes. And when I say it crashes it does it extensively, every time I go on Firefox. I’m sorry I don’t know the version of Firefox I have nor the operating system.

I have the latest version of Firefox (121.0 - 36782) on iOS 17.2 on iPad.

When I close the last remaining tab, Firefox crashes. When I open it again it asks if I would like to reopen the tab. I have been using Firefox on iPad for a while but this has been happening for several weeks. It is happening regardless of the website. It doesn't happen every time but very often.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. I have sync on (bookmarks and history but not open tabs).

Hi It is impossible to use Firefox on ios 17.2 because it continuously crash. Realle, the issue arise months ago Can you solve the issue or can you send me instructions in order to solve the issue? Regards Mario

My tabs keep crashing and every time I reopen Firefox I have to reclick all tabs, public and private. Last week, I had to delete the app because nothing worked. But since I reinstalled it, I have had to constantly reclick all tabs both public and private at least 5 times a day because it disappears.

I just updated my Firefox web browser app to Version 118 from app store. Since then, the app is not functional at all. Most of my tabs won't load, and the app crashes every time I open it. I am on ios 16.7.

All updates since 117.0 crash when I attempt to launch (iPhone X, iOS 14.3). I've never had any issue with previous updates. Seems like a bug that needs rectifying.

I regularly update the app, without any problems.

The latest one (117) causes a startup crash. Can’t access the browser or the settings.

Thank god for jailbreak, I downgraded to the stable 116.4. Cleared web data, rebooted to a non-jailbreak state, updated to 117 and still crashes.

Back to 116.4 until a solution or feedback.

History tab view shows an image of tab value but does nothing when a tab is selected, opens a blank pane. Click-hold on tab thumbnail causes browser to crash. IOS Firefox current versions. iPhone SE 3rd gen.

Whenever firefox is running in the background waiting to be used, it crashes as soon as i click an external link or open the application from my home screen. Opening the app after not using it for 5 minutes causes the app to freeze, and won’t respond until the app is restarted completely.

I have an Iphone 11 Pro with iOS version 16.5.1, and I have been having some problems with the Firefox app. I have a number of tabs on my browser, with some of them being very old. I was trying to clear some of them up and I noticed that a good portion of them will not load. Even though I can see their titles in the tab, when I select them, only a blank white page loads up, not even with a URL bar, so I am unable to reload the site. When I try to tap on the tab for longer than a few seconds to bring up additional options, the whole app crashes.

What can be done about this?

Firefox on iOS crashed when I toggles the inactive tabs button on and off and I had about 48 tabs as well 300 + private tabs open for years and when I clicked on the restore tabs button, it did not work and nothing came back. Can you please help me restore the session? I really need those private tabs back so I can save them accordingly. The history is there for the normal tabs but the private ones are the ones I really need back. I just need to be able to restore that session. I can provide log files as needed. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
