I have very solid security so I'm not concerned about updates. I need to know if Firefox will cut me off or can it still be my browser with my Windows XP? Please don't send me dire warnings about security I understand security & I'm covered. Thanks for any info you can give me about whether Firefox will continue for me.I love Firefox but replacing my PC to keep it is not a possibility.

I've been using Firefox the last 5 years, and so far I have not had any problems. I have a 64-bit Windows 8 OS. I used to play Friv flash games at http://www.friv.com/, but it has not been updated for a long time, so I started playing at http://frivgames.racing/, http://kizigamesxl.org/ and http://friv2.racing/. Yesterday I updated Adobe Flash Player and now I can not to play any game! When I go to the page with the game, there is a gray background...

What's wrong?

There are a few cookies I want to keep. If I choose "Remove All", they will be deleted, so I have to go thru the entire list of cookies one by one. One article said you could set an "ALLOW Cookie" but it did not say how to do this.

I just tried to right-click on some of the bookmarks in my menu, but the choices that came up in the context-sensitive menu were all grayed out, so I couldn't click on any of them. This was also the case with the several others I right-clicked on as well, however, if I right-click on a folder in that menu, then "Open All in Tabs" is NOT grayed out while the other options in the context-sensitive menu are.

I'd "refreshed" my Firefox browser earlier today to try and solve a possible sluggishness problem I've been experiencing, so that might(?) be (part of) the reason for this...however, even if it is, I haven't found a way to resolve it,

I also checked the Tools --> Options area and couldn't find anything there for this, too.

I've not yet tried restarting my PC after successfully refreshing Firefox (and reconfiguring/Customizing it a bit, such as by installing Extensions and showing the Title Bar), so perhaps(?) this will "self-resolve" after I do that. Still, this behavior seemed odd enough that I wanted to post this and ask for your thoughts, please.

Please note, just so you know what I have, that I'm using Windows XP SP2 with Firefox v43.0.1.

Can you please provide some insight into this as I don't recall ever experiencing it before?

In the browsing history there are two options:

"Delete This Page"

and

"Forget About This Site"

What is the difference between them?

Don't they both erase all records of the website?

If I understand correctly "Forget About This Site" is no different than clearing all history except it clears all history for an individual website

Is this correct?

Clicking the box 'automatically add' causes all the written text posted here, to dissappear. This is soul destroying, especially when people (me) are having a hard time.

I clicked 'back' expecting the worst ... and I wasn't wrong.

! That button needs modding or deleting as a priority !

I understand the 'volunteer' aspect (thanks to everybody) ... but, we shouldn't be losing data like this.

At very least, you could edit the text, and advise people to save their work, before clicking the button. Good luck with that ;)

My Efforts to fix this

Read through Mozilla Support 'suggested docs' - advising to clean out malware

ESET found a few things MB misssed Hitman found a few things ESET missed

Checked 198.134.112.243 google transparency and phishtank - result : clean  Scanurl : invalid URL

Removed majority of cookies & cleared cache. Refreshed Firefox (as per your recommendation)

Is the 'URL connection' linked to the 'software exception'?

Does the software exception indicate where the malware lies.

Should I re-install Firefox?

Does anyone have experience of this problem, and know how to fix it?

I am one of those rare individuals who do not own (or desire to) a mobile phone or other Android device. But I do need to use Instagram. I have of course tried all the so called Android Emulators, none of them work well or not at all with Windows XP. So to get around this I had been using up until a week ago the User Agent switch to enable me to upload photos to my Instagram account. Last week it stopped working. When I go to the User Agent Switch, click on any Mobile tab, then open Instagram, I no longer have the upload options visible (either a camera icon or plus+ symbol). How can I fix this?

After entering some data such as the receipt date and time on the initial screen, then I continue to the 2nd screen which states "To complete this survey you need to have cookies enabled on your browser." However, I do have them enabled. Upon examining Options and then Privacy, I have the following "Accept third-party cookies: Always" AND "Keep until: they expire". Currently using Firefox 52.9.0 (32 bit). I did NOT have this problem a month ago. Any advice would be helpful.

I followed the instructions to remove the "Insecure password warning" in about:config by changing: security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled and signon.autofillForms.http

My problem is that I still get the insecure password warning when I try to log onto the IP address of one of the devices on my local network. The warning prevents me from seeing the characters I type and I can't tell if the characters are being accepted or where they will appear when I press "Enter". Trying to log in on this page is confusing and unpredictable.

I tried restarting Firefox. Is there anything else I need to do to turn off the Insecure password warning?

I am not able to copy a screen image showing the Insecure password warning because clicking on anything or hitting any key causes the warning message to disappear. (Hiding the warning message does not stop the unpredictable behavior I described above.)

I could play Zynga poker yesterday. but today I get this message.Having issues? Try the following troubleshoot tips:

Enable WebGL:

   Type about:config into the address bar and press ENTER
   Search for webgl.disabled compatibility
   Ensure that its value is false (any changes take effect immediately without relaunching Firefox) 

I checked setting was false.

Expect better of Mozilla. Millions of people still use XP and believe it is the best operating system Microsoft ever made. To be let down by a champion of the little guy is a huge disapoinment.

I use Firefox as my browser on Windows XP OS. I am concerned about the security of accessing my bank accounts after August 2018 when Mozilla no longer supports Windows XP.

I'm using old software; Windows XP. On some videos I get the message; To watch video, download version 10.1 or higher of Flash Player. When I go to the Adobe site & check to see what I'm currently using, it says I'm using flash player version 30.

I've downloaded the above software but have seen no sign of it operating on my above -Firefox 52.8.1 (32 bits)- computer system. Is it possible I have the wrong Firefox update for Grammarly? Very grateful for any assistance.
