I use Firefox for many years. Firefox is always synced and I use "Firefox master password".

The problem is that every time I try to sign in my account I see this message: "This account is not active. Please contact an administrator if you believe this is an error. " This message is looks like mozilla's prank, because someone needs to sign in first to get help! As I try to get help, "support mozilla" is drive me to an endless loop in Mozilla.org.

After several minutes (I think about 15minutes) I don't know why and how but I'm in! This is happened every time I try to sign in my account!

Why is so much time consuming and frustrating the way to sign in? What it means "This account is not active." and why don't given a reason why this happens or/and a way to fix? Why I can't just type the UN/Pass to sign in?

I have been getting notification to update Firefox but every time I try, it won't work. I have tried from the menu. I have tried updating from mozilla.org. I have tried downloading a new copy. Either the download doesn't work or the execution doesn't work. I temporarily disabled my virus protection and firewall just in case, but that didn't help. My next thought was to delete the Firefox copy I have. But what if I continue to not be able to install? Can anyone help with something other than what the website suggests? Thank you!

pop out videos wont stop. Have unchecked the box, but still chewing up my bandwidth.

Please make videos stop playing when I go to a website. Now (25/9/20) pop out videos have started cluttering my screen and are difficult to shut down. I do not want picture in picture and I do not want videos to play automatically. I have been through all the settings, but nothing makes any difference.

For two days I've been searching on the web and in here with no luck.

Initially as Facebook is loading ... I can see the video for a brief second, then its turns grey with the message "Sorry, we're having trouble with playing this video."

Appears to only be a problem on Facebook and only in FF (chrome facebook videos work fine)

Using

FF 81.0 (64-Bit) Windows 10 Version 2004

Tried with all addon's disabled. Tried with anti virus disabled

Tried adding "Flash Video Player for Facebook" addon

Videos all work and play in chrome.

I cleaned the cookies, tried safe mode, tried to delete all plug-ins, tried to delete the browser profile, I reinstalled Firefox - no result.

What should I do?

I am posting this question to offer a solution to the problem I experienced. My firefox bookmarks were not immediately syncing across accounts. Once I added a new bookmark on the browser that was not showing the bookmarks the synced bookmarks appeared. This may offer a solution to other users.

Some of well known sites such as "drive.google.com" & "mail.yahoo.com" is resulting in "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue page" in Firefox. They are opening just fine in other browsers.

This issue has cropped up since past week in Firefox. Not sure what is the root cause behind the problem. I have tried re-installing Firefox, but still no change.

I have checked the certificates of those sites, and they are seems to be in order. I mean other browsers are able to open without issue, then why Firefox is not opening them for me?

Please let me know if this issue can be fixed in Firefox.

I just updated to windows 10, before I did I backed up my files on my firefox bookmark account. I went to to the restore thing, I saw all my stuff for a moment but after accepting the restore I can't get it to show. I still have my one Restore March, 31st option with 11 items appearing but nothing happens.

Hi When I log out of Firefox and then log in again the settings that I want have changed themselves. I want the following settings to remain but they don't.

Logins and Passwords Ask to save logins and passwords for websites Autofill logins and passwords Save History

All the logins and passwords that I want to keep appear in the list and most of the websites still log in as normal BUT there are a couple who insist I re-enter username and password and I don't want to keep having to do this. I have tried clearing all cookies and saved log ins for the problem websites and then re entered them after ticking the login/password option and it works fine. However when I end Firefox and then log in again these websites then insist I re enter everything. I have even deleted version 81 and managed to re-install an earlier version but that still fails.

Hi,

Ever since upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 on both my laptop and PC, I've had trouble accessing Steam's websites due to bad certificate domains. I've included a screencap of the error message.

I tried contacting Steam about this problem, since its only on their websites the problem is. They told me that there was no error on their side, and that they suspect that I don't have an "up-to-date trusted root authority" stored. I don't know what that is, and had no luck contacting Windows about the problem. So far I haven't seen this problem appear anywhere I've looked for help, so I am trying posting myself here.

I have already tried: - Reinstalling the certificate automatically for the Steam.exe file - Flushing DNS config // Also tried connecting through Google's DNS server - Repairing Steam install (in case the problem came from the program) - Permanently disabling VPN software and AntiVirus programs from interfering with anything Steam-related - Resyncronizing time on the PC (almost the only solution I could find on the web, still didn't work)

I hope someone can help me.

Beginning about a week or so ago, I can no longer read pages from the Guardian. The page loads correctly but it has no scroll bar and so I can't read the article. I can *see* the entire article by shrinking the text, so I know it is there. For example, this page:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/sep/23/california-cars-electric-vehicles-gavin-newsom-climate-change

is one that doesn't scroll [just to be clear: none do these days, but i just picked one, double checked that it couldn't scroll and posted it here]. I've looked at the page with ChrEdge and it renders [and scrolls] without a problem.

I haven't run into this problem with any other websites, so I dunno what's going wrong.

Spell check has long been a problem for me. It sometimes works, but most of the time it is not working, or is delayed by several minutes. The option to do spell checking is on. And the fact that it sometimes works indicates that the dictionary is present. This problems has been present for several releases. I am currently on 80.0.1

I know that before computers were common, a typist really strove to be accurate. But now you go for speed, and not accuracy at all. So, my messages tend to have a lot of errors. I cringe when I think of how many messages I typed before I realized that spell check was only occasionally working.

My work-around is to type what I need into my word processor, and then copy/paste into the web site where I want the text.

I'm trying to browse Reverb.com, and when I click on an item I want to look at, firefox opens in a new tab. This just started today after updating the Facebook Container add-on, and even after disabling the add on, the problem persists. I completely exited out of firefox and got back on, and Reverb is doing the same thing still. I don't want new tabs to keep opening every time I click on a new item, but to just take me to that page like normal.

I can't find anything in the options for firefox like keybinding or anything, and none of the other settings seem like they would address this issue.

In the new version of the Developer Edition the options "close tabs to the right" and "close other tabs" are in a sub-menu named "Close Multiple Tabs" inside the context menu. Is there's a way to change this so that they will appear directly in the main context menu? I use "close tabs to the right" often and I find this very annoying.
