There was a problem and automatically saved a new password in Lockwise on one of the sites. Now I can not enter the site because the new password has not changed on the site, and I do not remember the old one. Me need a history of saving / changing the password on the site (passwords that were saved in lockwise)

I need to clear my personal data out of a computer before I return it to its owner. I am **absolutely** appalled and shocked by the fact that it seems to be impossible to clear out all my stored passwords on this firefox browser installation, unless I simply uninstall firefox -- which is exactly what I am about to do. And now that I am aware of this appalling security flaw, I am sorry to say that I will be uninstalling it from everywhere else I use it too.

How can it possibly be that it is thought to be "OK" that in order to remove stored passwords, the user must remove each individual password separately. In my case, that is 227 passwords!! I can clear all browsing history, all cookies, all site-cache data, etc etc.... but several minutes of searching, both in the settings and more generally online, only has produced a way to remove passwords one at a time?

If i have missed the UI to do this, then I apologize for being so annoyed -- but in that case I must report that the feature is EXTREMELY well hidden.

I just cannot BELIEVE any browser I sign into with firefox sync almost instantly copies 227 passwords of mine onto a machine, and that I cannot remove them without doing several HUNDRED clicks.

What am I failing to understand here?

It would be much appreciated if some future answer to this question could also be sent to [email]@gmail.com. I do not think i will be logging into my firefox account again until I can feel more secure that the act of logging in won't copy hundreds of passwords in a way which I then need to spend hours removing.

I loved this browser, but unless I am mistaken about this problem, I'm afraid I simply can no longer use it.

This particular firefox browser is running on an old old lubuntu 386 laptop. Or rather, it is about to be "was running." Perhaps this is a problem in some old old version of firefox which I am running because I am on such an old machine. It is 84.0.2 (32 bit) running on an old old Acer Aspire One. If that is the case, may I a suggest that you add to your support pages some information on how to remove ALL saved logins in a single act.

Can I still set my time to match my ip time even tho I change “privacy:resistfingerprinting”= true. Is there a way I can still solve my time to match my vpn ip after ?

On my old computer - Linux Mint 19 with current Firefox installed, I had enabled an account and set a master password. Now I'm upgrading to a new computer. Firefox does not recognize the old master password. I found the setting to enable a new account password, but through the multiple jumps needed to get this set up, it frequently locks me out for 15 minutes. You encouraged saving passwords in Firefox. Switching the method for storing the passwords between versions and then having frequent 15 minute lockouts will make me abandon this platform. I don't have time for this. I do have my passwords backed up, but there is no where in Firefox that I can see in the passwords section to import from Firefox. I'm very disappointed.

I let Firefox store my logins so I don't have to hunt no matter which computer I'm using. Lately, Firefox has decided to show logins that don't exist or haven't been used in decades (yes, DECADES). I ran CTRL-SHIFT- DEL, shut down and and restarted FF and rebooting. The fool things still show. What gives? How can these unneeded items be permanently removed? Thank you.

I have an ssh tunnel that I am using to access an AWS ElasticSearch instance running in AWS, so that I can see Kibana in my browser. The tunnel is necessary because access is only allowed through a specific jump/gateway host that we have setup (this is very standard).

I used to be able to access this just fine with http://localhost:9200/_plugin/kibana But then ElasticSearch updated something to require that the 'HOST' header contain the original host, ie: search-blahblahblahblah.us-east-1.es.amazonaws.com

Ok, no matter, I'll just add an entry to my hosts file: 127.0.0.1 search-blahblahblahblah.us-east-1.es.amazonaws.com

Now, I can curl just fine, and using Chrome works just fine too: http://search-blahblahblahblah.us-east-1.es.amazonaws.com:9200/_plugin/kibana

But every time I try to use Firefox, it replaces the http with https, which obviously doesn't work because the tunnel is to port 80.

Yes, I realize that *.amazonaws.com is owned by Amazon and they have an SSL cert.

I have read a similar ticket, here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1209387 The acceptable answer in that ticket seemed to be to use a different domain for local development, which shouldn't be too hard to do, but in my case this is not a usable answer.

I should be able to override Firefox and tell it not to change a URL that I have put into it, at least for specific sites.

hi guys. My computer was running slowly, so I ran the reset programme as you recommend. You say that this doesn't affect stored passwords - but I've lost every single one of mine. and worse, it doesn'tseem to be saving any new ones either.

Hi, as a user of Firefox from day1 I have hit my first problem so not bad going. Right, I have a win10 desktop(DT1) and 2 laptops (LP1 AND LP2). All win10 fully patched up &Firefox 84.02. This morning I noticed my network share from LP1 to DT1 wasnt working and found LP1 powered down. Powered it up & it looked to be completing a patch (KB4598242) so let it finish successfully and logged in. It wouldnt take the 2 master pw prompts although definitely typing them correctly. Poked around the forum that talks of key4.db, key3.db and logins.json. Only had key4db but had a loginsbackup.json. deleted logins.jason and renamed loginsbackup. reloaded. Same, so am stuck. Did notice as LP1 loaded after powering on that a Firefox update occurred. Could one have messed the other? Anyway these things seldom happen on their own so what went on yesterday. On LP2 I noticed that on each reboot I got 2 identical FFox windows. I tried refresh, uninstalling ffox & mainteneance service, same. So I searched for the word firefox and deleted everything I could find and reinstalled FFox. Same, so switched off & gave up. Perhaps I have sync between my devices, not sure. However I have never at any stage changed my master passwords which is the same on all 3 pc's. Any ideas? Shame to lose over 120 passwords if I have to somehow start over again by uninstalling FFox and reinstalling..that'll take ages. And of course the password prompt is coming up all the time whilst typing this. Help please

I always have opened eBay login page in a Container, as you can see in the screenshot (purple bar). Somehow, eBay still knows it's me (upper left corner), and doesn't ask for my username, as they already have/know it. How can this be when Containers are supposed to empty all cookies upon closing?

is it possible to kick open a local file(.exe .xsl abc.xlsx etc..) from browser. i have tried to open by passing URl (file:///c:/..) but it download file every time when i try to access. i also tried registry editor to create a URL protocol however it only open .exe file. and i cannot let client to add URL protocol by them self. please let me know how can i solve it. if not possible except just security issue please let me know a proper reason.

I have been using https://www.mypoints.com/search-and-earn for search to earn points for cash. For some time now when I try to search hear the results are blocked. Only blocked on Firefox, other browsers work fine. How do I unblock this site on Firefox

I select the setting:

"ask to save logins and passwords for websites" so that I can also select 

"Autofill logins and passwords". This works for a session of Firefox, but when I close it and start a new one, it does not retain the selection. Is there another setting somewhere that is undoing it?

Hi there,

I use Firefox both on my Windows PC and Mac. On Windows, when I want to show a saved password, Firefox asks Firefox password first before showing the saved password but on Mac Firefox does not ask Firefox password, so the password is shown immediately after I click the Eye icon.

In my opinion it's quite dangerous because if I forget to lock my Macbook, someone can easily see all my saved password on Firefox.

I hope Firefox can fix this.
