hi, I love supporting this independent browser - I know its not perfect but it does a great job of doing most things well.

However, and there is a big but. I can be in the middle of an investigation that requires sharing data to a new tab - on opening the tab I'm blocked from going further as Firefox needs to do an update! This is really infuriating. No update can be SO urgent that you stop me using the browser. This is the Microsoft mentality, and its wrong. Can you please investigate NOT forcing users to update their browser during session.

I teach an online Adobe Illustrator Course. Students upload (.ai) Adobe Illustrator files. Not .svg or .pdf. But Firefox changes the (.ai) extension to (.pdf) upon downloading. This is HIGHLY irritating. Firefox, in prior versions, did not do this. In Firefox settings for Applications, there isn't a choice for .ai (Adobe Illustrator) files. I 'assume' that when AI (artificial intelligence) became available is when Firefox began automatically changing (.ai) files to (.pdf). PLEASE SOLVE this as I have to manually change the (.pdf) extension BACK to (.ai) HUNDREDS of times a day.

I just updated to the latest version of Mozilla FireFox and my bookmarks dissappeard.

All are gone, I wonder how I can get them back?

When backing up bookmarks to HTML - HTML Back-Up does not include the TOOLBAR Bookmarks. Please advise how to include the toolbar bookmarks in HTML format. Thank you.

I on MacOS and I'm facing this issue last half of the year. As usual mac book user, I have many WIP items on my laptop, so I don't reload my laptop every day, even months it can leave without reloading.

So, after a workday I just closing it and come back tomorrow. When I back to the work and want to open new tab: Jira, Gmail, LinkedIn any other tabs - FireFox just keeping in loading state. In comparison, the Google Chrome that opened as well all the time but with fewer tabs, open the same links in seconds.

I though the FireFox is not latest version, and updating or re-starting of it, sometimes helped me to fix the issue. But now it seems stopped work either.

So, after a 5 years on FireFox I'm seriously started about my migration back to Google Chrome. I'm not sure that you can help me in this forum, but at least I would like to hear you option. Maybe anyone else have seen such behavior also and FireFox could find the issue

My local network is 10.10.10.x and I can't log into my NAS, web server or another computer on the local network... Internet access is fine. Happens on Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

If I access the same web address using Safari or Chrome it works just fine and it used to work before the software update to the 147 build.

So what switch/setting got kicked over during the upgrade that I have to turn off?

These kind of issues really make me mad at the Firefox Dev team... and I'm a very long time user.

firefox on mac seems entirely broken.

in about:profiles I see 1 profile (with custom name). after restart the profile is still there, but all settings lost( Passwords, links, addons )

the same as happened before: I restarted the computer for update. than there were multiple profiles in about data. i got cunfused an in the end i deleted firefox entirely and reinstalled.

I want youtube to go back to the list of websites on the url drop down menu. I'm annoyed that Heroforge replaced it after only two visits to the website and I don't know why it even did that.

In FF on my PC I create a folder in the bookmarks toolbar for that day's research. I drag page URLs into there to bookmark sites/pages for follow up reading.

As extpected the shortcuts have the site's icons.

Open FF on my Macbook at home and since this verion, no favionns until I open the respective pages.

This is new. All other sync seems fine.

My bookmarks suddenly disappeared. I tried to use the troubleshooting guide for "My Bookmarks have Disappeared" bold textbut when I click on <Manage Bookmarks> step nothing happens. Also, when I click on the star to make a bookmark, nothing happens.
