Firefox’s built-in translation feature actively gets in the user’s way.

When translation is actually needed, it often does not offer the translation function at all.

Google sometimes links to Reddit pages that have been automatically translated into Korean by AI.

That specific page appears in Korean, but when you go back to the Reddit homepage, it appears in English.

However, Firefox’s built-in translator still recognizes the site as a Korean website.

Even though all the page content is in English, the translator incorrectly offers the option “Korean → English” instead of the correct direction.

There needs to be a shortcut or option that always translates “English → Korean” when the user wants it.

Firefox should not decide when to translate or which language to translate. That choice should belong to the user.

Additionally, a dedicated keyboard shortcut for translation is needed.

I used the built-in translator for a while, but the inconvenience became so significant that I gave up and reinstalled a translation add-on.

Is this the right place to post this suggestion?

Firefox: Sprache ein Mischmasch aus Deutsch/Englisch. Trotz dass die Einstellungen nur auf Deutsch, sind die Menüs in Englisch! Wie bekomme ich es hin, dass ALLES nur in Deutsch ist?

I would like to request that Firefox include the Somali language for website translation.

I choose Firefox because I have been told it is more secure, but currently, it does not support Somali. This makes it difficult for me to read news and websites in my native language.

Adding Somali support would provide a better user experience for Somali speakers and improve access to online information. It would also encourage me and others to continue using Firefox as our preferred browser.

Please add a fixed access key for the 'Translate button'. I also recommend introducing an automatic website translation function. Thank!

translate wont work , i have 2 pc win 10 pro , same IP in china , on 1 pc is workking , but on the other one it wont , i did new install , refresh , disabled add-ons exc , my language set to english and i need to translate chinese intoo english please help thanks

sinhala language not in the list of translating languages but sinhala language can use for translated webpages and read them i tried to insert as you instructed but i couldn't do it pl. help me to get sinhala language translations

I've tried to install the language pack for english to have swedish and english spelling checked on my computer. I've added it like the discription mentions but it doesn't show as an option when I try to change it.

How can I control which languages are default in the translate tab module thing?

It always comes up with "Translate from Spanish, To English". And I have to manually choose every time, which takes up time.

I wish to have it defaulted as "Dutch -> English". I've already se the setting to "Always offer to translate" and "Always translate dutch", but I still have to do it manually sometimes.

The offline package download speed is too slow and sometimes fails. I hope it can be provided separately, like interface language packs, just as Debian has separate interface language packs.

So there's a function where you select Korean character ㄱ~ㅎ and press Hanja(Han/Chinese letter) Convert key, you can convert it to special symbols

The issue is: when you press Convert key while inputting a word without space, it automatically selects the first letter of the word(Yes the text cursor moves front itself)

In every website includes search bar

You need to menually select a letter by mouse drag or shift key And then press Convert key to show the intented converting list

Idk how long it's been but the issue is pretty old

Additionally, you have intermittent Korean letter seperating issue, too("한글" -> "ㅎㅏㄴㄱㅡㄹ")

(For who suffer from the same issue, you can use Naver Whale browser instead)
