Hello Techies, facts are these: Firefox + HTTPS Everywhere on Linux, updated once a day. I connect to my webmail, Yahoo.com, and often the padlock turns to grey+orange triangle. But https is still present in the URL bar (by the way, I've set browser.urlbar.trimURLs to false). So I try and refresh page (F5), positive result only every now and then. I tried and switched to Basic display (I guess it should be lighter), positive result only every now and then. I feel I can't do anything to fix this annoying and weird lack of security. This "instable green" only occours connecting to Yahoo. When I connect to Facebook, GMail, YouTube or whatever I do NOT have problems at all. No difference using a normal, super updated session rather than a Live one (as I'm doing right now). I've written to Yahoo Help Community to explain as above and I was told it depends on the way Firefox "sees" Yahoo, and to ask You. Thanks a lot... To me it actually IS a Yahoo problem (not the first time, though...), but still I ask you whether you can suggest how to fix the problem or you know more about it. Many thanks and best regard. Has Firefox 45.6.0 removed the search in page titles from the Awsome Bar? I see that it searches only in URL. Can I configure this back to searching in the page titles, too? Thank you.

I tried going into options then add-ons but i don't think it is on the site since whatever application i go on it is still there. It has the Mozilla logo with a search bar and a few icons at the end. i find it extremely annoying so please help.

I can't use internet download manager to grab videos when the browser plays them in HTML5. Thus I went back to 45.1.1, and into Advanced to NOT check for downloads, and, to NOT use any background service.

However it upgraded me to 45.3 and is not trying to upgrade again!!!

How do I stop it? Please don't tell me about security, etc. I'll take my chances.

I upgraded to v 47.0.2. Verified that I was now on the correct version. Later, It says that there is an update available, and it is v 47.0.2. I check and I'm on v 45.0.1.

This has happened a few times now. At first I thought, I thought I did that, must have been confused. Then, must have been on the other machine.

Now, I'm very sure that I was on v 47.0.2 yesterday. Today It says I'm on v 45.0.1 again. This time it was immediately after FF crashed. I can't verify that was true the other times.

I am in the process of setting up several new computers. I am going from an older laptop using Debian Linux, and I am setting up several new desktops and laptops running Ubuntu Mate. I want to know how to manually transfer my passwords, selected cookies, and bookmarks to the new computers. I do not want to use sync or the network (internet) in any way. I am not concerned about history, etc, and I can reinstall the latest version of any add-ons manually.

The bookmarks I can manually backup and restore, but the others are a bit more of a problem. I don't want to simply copy my entire profile to the new computers. I want all of the passwords, and selected cookies from places like my bank, so that I don't have to go through their question and answer sessions.

We are concerned what will happen after 1.1.2017. when Mozilla will stop to support certificate SHA-1. Our infrastructure is under the replacement but we still have some devices which will be with SHA-1. What can we expect when users are going to open a page with this certificate. Can we just accept a risk and open page??

how to delete firefox remember user id? whenever I login to gmail in the user its showing the information.how can I delete that.Actually problem is by mistake I have given my password in place of the username...so then after when ever I login to gmail its showing the user id but that is actually my password.

I am attaching the screen shot...In the screen shot I am marked RED on the password which is showing in the user name field.

Today I tried to download the WoT add on, but it is missing. I've seen some false allegations flying around that also state Mozilla removed it due to privacy issues. Can Mozilla please give the real reason for this?

I have Java installed in my computer it works with IE, but not in Firefox, when i go to Javas homepage to detect java version, it says Java is not enabled.

my mac system running 10.6.8 doesn't meet the requirements to run the latest version of Firefox. I have two vulnerable plug-ins QuickTime 7.6.6 and Java 60.65. Is there any thing that Mozilla is doing to help keep people operating Mac OS 10.6.8 and earlier from vulnerabilities?

I'd like to change the duckduckgo.com search plugin back to the HTML version again. Since I finally updated to FF45 ESR, my custom non-js search urls have been reset to the standard versions, meaning I have to click the redirect every time. The old edit-the-search.json trick doesn't seem to work any more.

For reference purposes I always have a window with 15-20 tabs open (Google Books), using around 1,500,500k memory. I'd been on FF24 previously, and I never had issues with performance. But since updating to FF45 the browser constantly sticks or freezes for about 2 seconds, which is extremely annoying. There's no increase in memory usage, so I'm wondering if it could simply be the fact that I'm using a 'newer' version. I'm willing to ditch 'modern' Firefox and go back to 24, with its "You're browser is not compatible..." tedium - a little irritation is better than extreme annoyance. However, if there's a fix...

Both in Firefox & in Tor browser, when I bookmark a page, the Name field receives the http:// address, which isn't usually very descriptive, rather than the page title, which usually is & which FF used to do. This behaviour changed during some update & I'd really like to find out how to change it back! I haven't tried Safe Mode for this, as, as usual, I've got a jillion pages open.

Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. I close the lid on my lap top each night. The next am when I start the computer I get that message.

Not sure what details needed. Looked like I had updated successfully today, version 49 was open, then next time I opened Firefox it was version 45.0 again. Message pop-up (only comes up once in awhile, I presume when Firefox is trying to update automatically) says can't update.
