I opened Firefox this morning and all of my pinned shortcuts have disappeared. Shortcuts are enabled in the settings. I checked the browser.newtabpage.pinned pref on the about:config and all of my pinned shortcuts are still there, but they're not appearing on the actual page itself. Are there any other settings that I'm not aware of?

My internet browsing gradually gets slower over time. By the end of a day or a couple of days, it is unusable. The problem isn't bandwidth. A speed test shows that throughput is absolutely normal. It's the browser response to navigation. ie clicking a link, typing a URL into address bar, etc. and having to wait minutes for the page to start loading.

If I quit the browser and re-open, everything goes back to normal.

Any ideas what might be the problem?

I am having trouble sharing windows (presenting) with Google Meet. I used tot be able to share tabs, windows, or my whole screen, but now I can only share my whole screen.

After installing Firefox on a new Windows 11 computer, when I click on the Desktop icon, a Firefox window opens but it doesn't open previous Tabs and the Application menus does not work. I can open new Tabs though and it downloads websites. If I click on the Firefox icon on the Windows Taskbar, Firefox operates normally.

Why doesn't the Desktop icon start Firefox so it works correctly?

I have always used Firefox for everything. Suddenly it quit uploading photos to eBay correctly. I am now using Brave to upload photos and Firefox to do everything else. Is this a known problem? Are there any fixes? TIA

Hi, All of a sudden, I lost absolutely all of my bookmarks. My PC is running Windows 11. My Firefox account was and still is logged in. At first, I thought the data loss was due to a CCleaner cleanup using their latest update. After the data was lost, I tried running another CCleaner cleanup, but this time it didn’t delete the bookmarks. So I honestly have no idea how this could have happened. These were bookmarks I had saved over many years... It’s a disaster.

A few days ago, my Firefox browser stopped clearing browsing data, cookies, history, cache. I am using a custom-built desktop computer with Windows 10 Home, Firefox v. 143.0.4. What is the setting I need to change so this will start clearing data again? The "Clear data and cookies" no longer works, and my search has brought up no other options that I have found. I need simple instructions, please.

As above--I have tried recommended methods ie manage bookmarks<save to HTLM file<import/export --I can send HTML file to new pc via email but cannot get it any further what am I doing wrong or failing to do? Not exactly a whiz kid but know a little about this (obviously not enough!) </p>

The mute tabs icon is just a waste of space as soon as you get a few tabs loaded and the tabs shrink. I have multiple tabs showing at the moment where I have clicked on the icon and unmuted them when just trying to select them. It does not help that the icons have been placed in almost the exact centre of the tab, at least with the 19 I have showing in a mix of muted/unmuted. Only 7 of these tabs are still muted, although I did deliberately unmute one to check the action.

I would prefer it if these icons are not showing as they are a waste of space and my time. If you hit the icon the tab is not brought to the front as intended so you have to click on them again. I just want the tabs to work like real tabs.

Is there any way to remove the feature altogether? I have after a lot of frustration just reduced the sound for Firefox in the Windows Volume Mixer as I did before tab muting was thought of. I almost never use sound in Firefox anyway.

When I close a tab, and try to find it in the recently closed tabs in the history, some i just closed, and without opening even a few others, they do not show up in the recently closed tabs list, while some I closed the day before are in there even when I filter to "Today" and that after" using Firefox for less than an hour and only had.

For one I think Today doesn't do that but rather the last 24 hours or similar.

It actually has been a problem for a very long time.

I can find most of them in the "Show all History", but that defeats the purpose of the recently closed tabs option.

I am using 143.0.4 (64-bit) AKA archlinux - 1.0, on Arch Linux I update every few days.

In my case today it was a Duck Duck Go search results page.

I cannot locate Adobe Acrobat extension to install in Firefox, v143, operating within Windows 11. I had previously been able to install this extension in Firefox operating within Windows 10.

I have loaded Firefox on another IMac and when I scan a document I lose the browser. I would like the browser to stay on the desktop so that I can attache the document direct to my email

Things like, "set firefox as your default browser" and "open firefox when you start your computer?".

I don't want pop-ups from ANYBODY, but especially not from the browser. It defeats the whole purpose of blocking pop-ups if the browser itself is interrupting me with garbage I dont need.

How do I turn these off? There don't appear to be any settings, and every google search brings up disabling pop-ups for every other site.

Why do I need to post my question on a forum and wait for some random internet user to answer. Why can I not ask a question of the company when their product is not functioning properly? This is really really disappointing.
