My laptop needed to be completely reset to its beginning stage. I did not have the opportunity to save any bookmarks before this happened. Is there any opportunity under my login to recover these bookmarks now?

Tell me how to restore my bookmarks. My browser is Firefox, but the bookmarks are also missing when I open Yahoo on Chrome, indicating the problem is probably a Yahoo homepage problem. OS is Windows 10.

After upgrading to the latest version (112.0.1) on MacOS 10.15.7, the bookmarks toolbar disappears when I enter fullscreen mode ('Always Show' is selected under Bookmarks Toolbar in the View menu). When I exit fullscreen mode, the toolbar reappears but a large grey bar then appears at the top of the window (see screenshot). I've read answers in the knowledge base that suggest that the toolbar always disappears in fullscreen mode, but I am 100% sure that this behaviour did not exist before the recent upgrade (perhaps this behaviour has been around for a while in Windows?). Either way the grey bar is clearly a bug and feels related to the toolbar behaviour. Has anyone else experienced this?

Currently, my tab preview only show the top of the page, not in the exact position I am currently on in that page! This has made it difficult to track my whereabout!

Can anything be done about this!

I currently have a setting checked telling Firefox to delete all cookies when closing. I want to set some exceptions but cannot uncheck that setting hence I cannot make the exceptions. So how can I make exceptions so as to save some cookies upon closing? Please be specific as I am not familiar with a lot of assumed firefox computer jargon. Thanks

After using gnome-tweaks to change my system fonts, Firefox has unexpectedly gone silent and no longer shows text in areas like the search bar, tabs, settings, bookmarks, and menus. Rendering websites works just fine, but Firefox itself won't show any text.

This is crazy. I use FF both for Android and PC. I started realising that some passwords were for the wrong site. I have a different password for each website which I mentally compute. When I saw that websites weren't letting me in with saved passwords, I went to see the password manager and the saved password IS definitively one of my passwords, since it is in the right format, but certainly IS NOT for that website. It only happened for at least 3 websites, more like 5-6 (it started by me having to reset several passwords, which I never had to do before) so it could not possibly have been me saving a wrong password for a different site by mistake. I don't think it could be done even if I wanted to. I checked random entries in the password manager and all seem to be ok, except the ones I remembered were wrong. I think it is Firefox for Windows that is doing this, since one of these sites I access only from PC. But clearly, I can't be sure, since they synchronise across platforms. Most wierd that no one else complains about this problem. I can't think of how I could be doing this myself. Thanks for any help

When I close Firefox 112, I get a duplicate Firefox icon in my dock.

I have a 24" IMAC and am running Ventura 13.2.1

How do I stop these extra icons from planting themselves in my dock.

a few web sites refuse to work with Firefox so I up dated the application. But now some of my bookmarks disappear and I would like also the bookmarks to open on the left side of the scree as before . Please don't force me to go to windows Edge or Google Chromes which I'm force to use at the moment as three web site including my bank refuse to work under Firefox platform. Thank you

Hi all, I cannot sync ma password to a different system. Firefox states that my account is "disconnected", I cannot change this status even with multiple tries to login. If I go to Sync I can chose to login "again". If I do so nothing changes. Even with muliple tries. Do you have any idea how I can debug this? BTW: There seemes to be some polices in place even if i'm in no organisation.

Before I refreshed Firefox, I always had a blank Yahoo! search bar at the top of any page. It was very useful but it's gone and I don't know how to get it back. Can someone help me with this?

Several years I logged into an extended family member's computer, accidentally sync from another browser and now this folder has been following me around. The thing is it's full of some really gross things. Mostly extreme right opinion pieces and just so much porn. I really want this folder to go away, but when I right click it the delete option is grayed out. I've tried deleting them one by one, but everything I close the window and reopen it again, all of the links are back. How do I purge this from my mozilla account?

i did a fresh clean install of windows and downloaded and signed into firefox browser. all my settings and extentions appeared as well as bookmarks however my logins and passswords are not there. can you help ?

Amazon site requests load(s) Edge Browser repeatedly-even without clicking on Amazon site w/in FF browser, the Edge browser launches. Current Ver.: 112.0.1 (64-bit)

I keep adding the bom site to the excemption but never allows me to open it , goes to my modem page & again no view and lock me out of site but to modem page ?? and now access to the bom radar site .

I have no access to all my bookmarks and the damn backup folder is empty, what kind of trash is this, I need this for my work and not even the search history is avalable, no more damn firefox, let me know if there is any way to get back that bookmarks and browser data since I have no way of retrieving any of the cinfidental accesses I need to perform my job

I've had this problem for a couple of years already. Not with other browsers and, with the Internet Download Manager extension, I'm usually able to download multimedia content in FF. (That's been my workaround.)

For example, when loading this humble URL ... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/d/d8/Plattenknistern_record.ogg/Plattenknistern_record.ogg.mp3 ... if I have autoplay enabled, it'll crash right away ("Your tab just crashed"), without autoplay, it'll crash as soon as I hit play. Until a few days ago, no crash report was created under about:crashes, but, after upgrading to 112.0.1, I've finally been able to submit a crash report: bp-203a462b-e949-47b0-90f3-a99760230422

No difference if I create a new user profile and disable add-ons. Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't help either. I can't do without most of my settings and add-ons, so refreshing FF is not an option. I'd sooner try a new install (and then import my profile and reinstall add-ons), but that's laborious and not guaranteed to solve the problem.

(I've submitted this question before, about half a year ago - now archived -, but that didn't go anywhere for lack of crash diagnostics.)
