"Block pop-up windows" is enabled in Firefox, but I still get popups from www.smh.com.au Maybe you have time to investigate - a different type of popup needs blocking.

Firefox was working fine yesterday. But all of a sudden while playing a youtube video it started being choppy. It drops frames, scrolling and video playback are choppy and laggy, there is lag on button inputs, the system is choppy and laggy too while firefox is open, especially when video is playing. I checked the CPU and GPU usage and I can't see any spikes. I have tried refreshing firefox but that did not fix the problem.

OS is manjaro linux (gnome version) latest. Firefox is also at the latest version.

I want to resize a window, without dragging the edges around. I've read the resizing instructions and am unable to find the "resize" icon next to the address bar. any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I block autoplay vedio?

I know I can block Audio and Video, but I just want to block autoplay video. As if I use the block audio and video it will mute all videos I open, and I need to unmute it every time. I just want autoplay to not start, not mute the video too.

I have tried with different commands lie ctrl+w,Ctrl+alt+F4 , like this everything is used to closed current tab or entire browser .I tried the other way right click on tab> close all tabs But i need a shortcuts to close all tabs except the current tab which were using. When I try to open Outlook by using Firefox it does not. (Installed MS Office 365). When I use Microsoft Edge it does open so I can read the messages. I cleared the cache and it works the first time but when I try to access it again, it does not work. It just not upload the message.

Hey there,

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro to open PDFs for work. It always worked fine, set up to automatically open PDFs in Adobe, and they save to Downloads folder. For some reason now, after an update, the PDF always pulls up a save box and asks me to name the file (significantly slows down workflow). This only happened after an update.

I've figured out that the issue is related to a way that the PDFs are generated. So if I click it via a link that ends in .html instead of .pdf, it assumes it's a webpage and opens the pdf link in browser, and from there I have to click save, and then I'm prompted to type in the file name.

If I open a PDF link that's an actual .pdf file URL, then it saves to Downloads automatically and names the file "contractfile-1111" or whatever, numbered consecutively. Any ideas on how to get around this?

When I click a link on a website, a new Firefox tab opens with this message: 400 Bad Request Request Header Or Cookie Too Large nginx/1.18.0 (Ubuntu). This is new behavior; it was working fine until yesterday. Can you tell me how to fix it?

I tried importing passwords from Chrome, but the Chrome browser on this machine doesn't actually contain any passwords. Do I need to sync the two on another machine, or is it possible to import from Google Password Manager instead of Chrome?

I have the issue that when I enter a website that is in English, I sometimes get a little Google translator pop-up at the top which asks me to translate the page. As I am fully fluent in English, I would like to disable this but the option "Disable for English" does not seem to do anything, as this keeps happening. I can disable it for an individual website but I would like to disable it completely.

I'm also confused because within Firefox I have only selected US English as a preferred language. My laptop itself is set to German.

I don't have any translator add-ons installed and can't figure out where this pop-up even comes from, let alone how to fully disable it.

If anyone could help, I'd be very grateful!

I used the same account with two computers. I always keep my account in sync. Actually, they do not. My previous notebook has a series of bookmarks, but the bookmarks in the latter one is exactly different. It seems like two accounts, but I log in with the same account. Miracly, when I log the same account with my phone, the bookmarks in my phone is sync with my previous notebook I don't know how to solve it and appreciate your answer.

I no longer see a box that contains a variety of search engine choices. I have been using DuckDuckGo and am very dissatisfied with it now. I'd love to know which one(s) people recommend (not google, bing etc, please!) and what the steps are now to changing DDG as my default to this new one? Many thanks (I'm a senior and quite computer literate unless the reply contains tech language I might not understand...)
