The Washington Post has a feature on some articles called "Listen", where the article is read aloud on the device audio. I often use this because my vision is not as good as it used to be, and I can listen while I perform other tasks (e.g., cook). There is an example at this URL: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/05/24/trump-picks-primaries-perdue-lose-dangerous/

Click "Listen" just above the first text of the article.

This is FF 100.0.2 on Windows 10 21H2 build 19044.1706

I do use the Malwarebytes add-on, but it doesn't work even when I disable it and the FF tracking protection is turned off.

It does work in both Edge and Chrome, with Malwarebytes enabled.

This is very disappointing ...

(when i click "Capture video" the LED near the webcam hole is on, but preview not shown.

but in chrome, edge and opera connect successfully. first LED on, then preview is shown with no bug!

(first i check firefox, not connected, then check in chrome connected, NOTE: device is not busy with chrome when i check firefox, i am a web developer:) )

please help me.

Every time I log in or refresh outlook, I get an email ad for outlook upgrade. It is from microsoft, and can be opened as an email, but it is an ad and can't be blocked. These emails remain blocked with Brave, and I am running an ad blocker. Will mozilla update to remove these ads, or is there an ad blocker that works better with Mozilla. When I inspect it, the first line shows:-

Keep getting SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL

For the last few weeks I keep getting this error message: An error occurred during a connection to ....... You are attempting to import a cert with the same issuer/serial as an existing cert, but that is not the same cert.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL

It will suddenly happen for multiple sites that I have been connected to in the past, or new sites I try to open including support.mozilla.org. A solution is to clear my history and restart the browser. It only happens on my windows 10 laptop. I think happens when I have logged off or the device has slept and then firefox has restarted and opened previously open tabs. Other devices on the same network don't get effected.

I'm unable to get Lloyds bank to recognize that cookies are enabled. I've tried clearing cache+history etc but no joy. Having tried the Lloyds bank cookies page and enabling cookies still no joy and login refused. Standard setting in Security & Privacy and advised resets all tried multiple times. Anything to do with "trusted" device? Trust prompt not reissued after resetting everything. Had to use Chrome to login - and got the "trust this device" prompt on first use.

Okay so I have started using Firefox recently and the only issue I have with it is that when I use YouTube randomly the YouTube icon near the nav bar keeps getting selected. I am not sure why it is doing this though. It seems like it is happening when I change tabs and then change back but is also seems to randomly do this.

You can see what I am describing in the img provided. Thanks for the help in advance.

I cannot install English GB dictionary for my spell checker. When I click add dictionaries it takes me to a page where I can select Englsih GB as one of the dictionaries available in my locale. It then takes me to the info and remove page for the dictionary but there is no option to install and no pop up to start the download appears.

Hello,

When FF on my Windows 10 machine crashed FF asked if I wanted to refresh FF. I said yes, and FF reopened as usual with all my tabs. After I closed and reopened FF the next time, it reopened without any of my tabs. I then discovered that FF had unchecked the “Startup Open previous windows and tabs” box, which I had previously religiously monitored to be sure it was checked. So I lost all my previous tabs.

In my sessionstore-backups folder I found the file upgrade.jsonlz4-20 as last in a list of three more recent file names. I then dropped the file upgrade.jsonlz4-20 in the scrounger tool on this site: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html. It expanded in the big window, and when I clicked on Save uncompressed JSON as text, I see all the URLs run together in a text file.

How can I use this information to recover my tabs, please? If so, how? Or is there a better way to use the Scrounger – or another – tool?

Otherwise if I delete the three more recent file names in the list above the upgrade.jsonlz4-20 file, and restart FF will I recover the missing tabs? If so would I the check or uncheck the Startup Open previous windows and tabs box?

Lastly, can I restore my missing tabs using Windows’ “System restore” tool from 3 days before the crash?

suddenly Firefox is blocking my entry to a specific site with the measage "Log on error. You need to enable cookies in your browser to logon to Internet Banking." I have tried umpteen ways around this to no avail. Google Chrome does not have this problem!! I am using version 100.0.2

I watch videos on dropout.tv which uses the Vimeo SDK as their player for the videos. After switching to Firefox, the video progress has consistently started from where I left off on Chrome. The site doesn't remember where I ended the video when I watch it on Firefox. I assume this has to do with the cookies, but I've manually added "dropout.tv" to the list of exceptions in Firefox settings so that that site is always allowed to store cookies.

Returning briefly to Chrome, the player immediately tracked my progress again, so the issue is definitely related to Firefox somehow.

Since the Firefox 100 update, I have had issues with Firefox connecting to Google and its subdomains. When the browser is first started, all google domains work fine. After a few minutes though, a dialog at the top of G-mail (multiple accounts) appears stating it wants to re-connect, and will try and reconnect indefinitely with no success until the browser is closed and reopened. Also, calendar will stop working, and attempting to connect to any other google service (search, keep, drive, etc.) results in no DNS resolve, with sometimes the search bar URL changing to "about:blank." I have tried resetting the browser and re-installation (both at a user and administrative permission level) with no avail. Is this a known problem, or is it suspected there is another culprit here? It is worth noting that this is my company laptop, and that my coworker has also recently began running into this issue.

Its difficult to get help with firefox even though I have been using it for a long time. 1. everyting when I open the browser it tells me that it is not responding. 2. Then once it opend up it tells me that the firefox is already running and that I need to close the old one before the new one can run.. 3. It just seems that the browser with all the updates run slower and slower with each updates.. 4. I find it difficult to get a hander on running firefox...can you help?

I used to sign in to my credit card through Elan Financial Services and then I would highlight my credit card, tell it the date range I needed to update to Quicken, and hit enter. a popup would give me the option of opening the file or to save the quicken file to my computer. I would select the option to open the file and it would update my register on Quicken. Now, I only get the option to save the file to my computer. On Microsoft Edge, I still get the choice to open or save the file. Why doesn't Firefox support the Open Function anymore. I use Firefox for everything, but now I have to remember to switch to Edge for this one important update. Is this a change in Firefox or something I have to deal with Elan on?
