I've reinstalled my Windows and once I logged into Firefox and synced my data, I got the wrong bookmarks from years ago, most stuff are of my brother. I tried restoring them, but I only got the date of today which is completly empty. My history looks right, so I guess this is the right account. They're really important, what do I do?

I just got some message saying that my Firefox version needed to be updated and by hastily taping on the ok button I did it without noticing that it had done it to a newer version no longer supported by my Mac OS.

I wanted to go back to the most recent version still supported by El Capitan 10.11.6, so I installed again the 78.10.0ESR and now all my browsing history from many years back is gone.

Could you please help me getting my history back?

Going through internet through several hours didn't bring any good solution to my problem.

I want to add the Bookmarks to my Browser page. The schematic says I need to press the Toolbar button, but on my latest version of Firefox there is no Toolbar button. Then I have another problem with your instructions. I had to Download something called Filelink. It directed me the Preference section on my menu under More Tools. Accept there is no such thing on my version of Firefox. I have to send a video of about 54 seconds to someone via Thunderbird email, so need to know how I'm going to do it.

I have a problem retrieving my favorites/bookmarks. I changed computers (all of them, even the hard drives).

I would like to recover my favorites/bookmarks but cannot do so because I am asked to look for them in folders that I no longer have, because they are on the old computer.

Does Firefox not save any information about my favorites/bookmarks? Have I lost them all? Do I have to redo my whole life?

Unless I'm crazy, Firefox used to import the tags in an exported bookmarks HTML file. I used this to move bookmarks between profiles. What happened to that capability?

From the main opening screen on the right hand side ( Pic1 ) click on the three horizontal lines Tab. Go down to "Bookmarks" listing (Pic2) Click on " Bookmarks " to open and it gives you Pic3.

At the bottom of Pic3 is " Recent Bookmarks " and it lists ALL the previous bookmarks that have been opened.

Question - I do not want that list displayed, How / Where do you disable it in Firefox ?

Other people who have posted this question have had individuals just saying " Right click " on the bookmark and delete. That not only deletes it from the recent bookmarks list BUT also from the Actual Bookmarks!

So.... not a good idea.

I have spent over an hour searching the internet and the Firefox settings trying to figure it out.
