I have been a firefox user for 5 years now and i gave my laptop to repair and it was fixed with an ssd (HP NVMe SSD) to better performance and more speed and efficiency but in the process he rebooted and restarted the pc and now all my data is not there , i have some very important webpages and bookmarks in my firefox browser, i had signed in synced and done everything so that i get the data if something like this happens , however and only 3 or 4 bookmarks were imported and all the search history is gone and new even though i signed in with all my accounts and synced and tried to get the data , i remember that i did everything properly to sync and store the account data,search history,bookmarks and password s and now i am not able to get it and i tried doing it with all accounts i had logged in firefox.how do i get my search history,bookmarks,saved passwords back please tell?

I am signing into my Mozilla account on a new computer with a clean Firefox install. I'm able to get into my account using an authorization code to my email, but Firefox Sync isn't working so no bookmarks/passwords/history/etc. I have a persistent "account disconnected" with a yellow triangle icon. Upon clicking through, I see "Please sign in to reconnect [my email address]" with a sign in button. Signing in does nothing. What's really strange is that my other Mozilla account works fine, which leads me to believe this is an account issue—except that I've synced this account across several devices already.

What do?

I utilize folders for organizing bookmarks. Twice now I have had one of my bookmarks deleted by Firefox and I do not know what to do to stop it. Unsure of what I was doing the first time when I realized it had happened. This time, just a couple of hours ago, I was organizing my bookmarks and it was there and I did put a new bookmark in it. When I was done I went into Firefox and opened the tab to make sure it was working correctly and after closed everything out. I did not delete anything but some older bookmarks and made sure that no folders were highlighted and in fact, the folder in question was there before I closed out of Firefox. I come back, without shutting my computer down, open Firefox and it was gone. This is at best frustrating and at worst makes me want to use another browser altogether.

Hello, I am looking to see if there is a way to find/gain access to my old firefox account.

I thought I was logged in under either of my two primary emails but when I logged in after my computer glitched and I had to reset it, my bookmarks and passwords didn't reappear. Is there a way i can somehow retrieve this?

Please help me recover container login and sync I use about 15 container, each containing logins and important data. Recently i thought of installing firefox on to my very old laptop. However after installing and login, few hours later i got know that my main machine's firfox containers are reset to default. Quite few containers are missing and none of them contain login or anything. Some of container contained emails which are important but i don't recall their login so recovering is very though. Yes i haven't store password login anywhere only if i can no name i can recover. Those email contain very important work data, Please help recover those container along with logins.

A few days ago everything was fine, today my bookmarks and passwords are missing. I tried many times but it didn't work. I checked the logins, but it wasn't found, while looking, it asked for an account login. I forgot my password so I logged in with forgot password. All passwords are missing. I tried to find it but couldn't find it. Even after importing some old ones from other sites, the passwords of the last one year period were not found which is very important. Why did this problem occur and how did it occur? I'm having a lot of trouble relying on this site, and haven't found a solution yet I hope it gets fixed soon. I have lost many important password logins when I relied on this site to protect them. My request is to remove the feature of saving logins and passwords from now on. I don't know what else to try, am I missing something?

Hello, and apologies in advance if I am missing something that would easily solve this problem. The other day, I was trying to open Firefox like normal and noticed my 100+ tabs were all gone. It was tough since I needed many of those for work and academic purposes, and couldn't seem to recover the window properly without having to manually click through history to get every tab back. I worked on getting these back for about an hour, and couldnt get every tab back in its entirety, unfortunately. I looked through these forums and Reddit for solutions and kept seeing that a fresh reinstall could help, so I did so. I kept getting a message saying that I had an "old version", so maybe I accidentally got an old version. I couldn't avoid the error, so I did an uninstall via Window's uninstall panel in settings. When I opened the new install of Firefox back up, all of my bookmarks are completely gone, all 11,000+ of them, in fact. Again, a lot of these are needed for future work purposes, so it's a bit frustrating that its all just kinda...gone. I tried finding backups, but the latest ones are from the reinstall, 9/13/24. I can't find a profile either that has the previous bookmarks, which is worrisome. I tried logging into Firefox on my phone- same deal. However, my history is intact, as well as all of my saved autofill passwords. I can't find old profiles from that old install (that I assume were deleted with that uninstall. Probably should have been more careful before that, since I got the impression sync would work, lol) that aren't before 9/13. I tried syncing in settings, logging in and out of my sync profile that I've had since I first got Firefox on my computer. Is there anything I can do about this? How come the bookmarks are all gone, yet the rest is just fine?

This message: "We are having trouble restoring your last browsing session. Select Restore Session to try again." appears when starting Firefox 130.0 but the "Restore Session" button is disabled.

Firefox should not ask the user to do something Firefox itself has made impossible.

When Firefox (130.0) presents the message: "Still not able to restore your session? Sometimes a tab is causing the issue." when Firefox starts, Firefox should help the user by identifying the tab(s) that caused the Restore Session to fail.

I have a situation where I constantly have to send tabs from mobile Firefox to desktop Firefox. So I use Send tab to device feature. But when sending, manually clicking on the Synchronise now button in the Account menu of the toolbar of the receiving device is often needed, or else it would take a while for the tabs to be received. But I find that annoying and unintuitive.

Is there a solution for it? For instance, syncing Firefox devices more often, maybe just for the sending tabs feature because sync-now also syncs history, and bookmarks.

I use firefox on my windows laptop and on my ipad. I had set up bookmark syncing so that I could access the same bookmarks on both my laptop and ipad. At first it worked! But today I added some new folders and bookmarks and despite checking that the syncing had happened the new bookmarks added on my ipad are not visible on my laptop - what can I do to fix this?

I opened my Firefox this morning just to be greated with a pop-up that said something like "do you want to refresh Firefox" I clicked no but i guess it didn't care because it refreshed it anyways. Post-refresh my Firefox was blank with none of the settings and custom css it had before. I then tried to fix it by pasting all of the contents from my 'Old Firefox Data' file into where they would be in this new one. Long story short, I tried to open Firefox and all that comes up is "Profile Missing, Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It is missing or inaccessable". I just want everything I had before how do I put it in? I've attached screenshots of the error, Old Firefox Data, and Profiles. I'd be very thankful if anyone can help because i just really want all of my data back

I've been a Firefox user ever since I've had an internet connection (probably around 2008). Whenever I would do a clean Windows installation every 1 or 2 years, I remember I would have my passwords, history, and extensions synced. Today I performed a clean reinstall again after maybe 2 years and I don't have any of my old history, passwords, extensions.

I'm a bit desperate, I have really important stuff saved over the years. I use Tree Style Tabs and I've customized my browser client to fit my needs and it was perfect, but I seem to have lost everything and I don't know what happened. It didn't even cross my mind something like this would happen.

Is there anything I can do? I have old emails from 2018 and 2021 from Firefox Accounts which show I used the same email.

Today when I tried to log-in into Firefox Accounts from inside the browser (button at the top right corner) it seemed that none of my passwords worked, so I clicked the "Forgot email" password and set-up a better one, but once logged in there was no sync with the old data I had. Then I thought maybe I had the wrong account so I logged in with my Google/Gmail account but there was nothing there as well.

Is there something I can do? I really need my old history, passwords, extensions, etc. Especially now as I'm graduating from University and I have important events coming up.

And no, I don't have any local profiles any more since I did a full, clean reinstall on my primary SSD. But I remember I've never used local profiles, everything would sync up again once I logged in. Maybe forgetting and resetting my password logged out my previous session and I lost it forever?

I hope you can help me sort this out.
