Unable to log into Google accounts from Firefox

Hello, Sorry to disturb but its been two days and I am unable to access my Google accounts (work and private) through Firefox in anyway. I have done all the basic fixes I can think of but with no success. I have deleted caches, checked plug ins, rebooted Firefox went through the trouble shooting mode, followed advice in the community forum, tried logging in from Google linked accounts. Spoke to our internal IT support at work but nothing has solved the issue as yet, spoke to Google support.

My assumption is that it has to be the browser as I am able to log into google with another browser but Firefox is my preferred browser and would like to use it again as such.

Please advise.

I have been unable to sign in to google accounts on 3rd party websites for a while now. I'm using firefox develloper edition. i do not have this issue with normal firefox

every time i try to sign in i get redirected to https://support.google.com/accounts/a.../32050?hl=en

Heres some of the things i tried:

  • Clear cache and cookies
  • "repair" Firefox from the uninstaller
  • Reinstall Firefox

To be honest it is quite a bit annoying and i cannot find a solution thanks in advance for any help

When I try to log into sync with firefox, I get asked for an email code rather than the 2fa totp token I normally use. When I use the code I've been emailed I get an error that says "Bad Request". I can't log in on either of my computers. I've attached the error.

All Sync Data Was Removed Upon Password Reset

I submitted this as a bug report but I will also submit this here to see if anyone has any information or a solution.

After resetting my password, none of my sync data from before the install is there. Only the sync data from my laptop, but even on my laptop it no longer lists my old computer, it is as if my PC from before the new OS has simply been deleted from the sync logs. In fact, my sync logs only go back to the moment I changed my password. I am not sure how to proceed as it appears that there aren't even any traces of my sync from before this point.

It would be nice if I could get the old tabs I had open on my desktop before I changed my OS, but it's not exactly a "world ending" situation.

Sorting bookmarks by name is not permanent or reflected outside of Manage Bookmarks.

First of all, why are there two Other Bookmarks folders? When I add a new bookmark, my routine is to open Manage Bookmarks, drag the new bookmark to the second (lower) Other bookmarks folder, then choose Sort > Sort by Name. I have also tried A > Z Sort Order. The sorts work within the Manage Bookmarks window, but they are not saved automatically, and I do not see a way to save them manually. Also, if I go to the Other Bookmarks folder on the far right side of the Bookmarks Toolbar, I have to scroll down to the bottom of the list to see my new bookmarks. They are not in ascending alphabetical order the way I want them.

Account Login Very Strange Behavior

I recently updated to Firefox 131.0.3, having signed out of my Firefox/Mozilla account. Now I am trying to sign back in. After a seemingly successful sign-in (with email and pw, followed by "authorization code"), I'm taken to my account page. Scrolling down to Connected Services, I can see a recognizable account name (my Windows 11 user name and the name I've assigned to my computer). But looking up at the account button at the top right of Firefox, I see a small yellow triangle. Clicking on the button, I'm told "Account disconnected." (Remember, I'm currently looking at my account page, which says I'm connected.)

So I try to log in again. I give email address and password, and authorization code, and I'm in again. Now I see an addtional account connected, "Firefox 131, Windows 10" (remember, I'm using Windows 11).

So looking up again to the upper right at the account button, I see the yellow triangle, and clicking tells me once more that I'm disconnected, even though I have my account page open in front of me.

All of this, of course, prevents me from having access to the sync function. I've been through this circle several times with the same strange results.

Anyone have any idea what' going on.

1. I have not entry "DisableFirefoxAccounts" in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox". 2. I have no policies.json file in firefox directory. 3. I have a message "Your browser is being managed by your organization." in "Settings" (about:preferences). 4. In "about:policies" I have DisableFirefoxAccounts=TRUE. 5. in "about:config" identity.fxaccounts.enabled=false and grayed out.

Please help me to turn on the sync of bookmarks. All these listed issues obviously have something to do with it.

Hi, I am in the process of changing all my accounts to my new email. However in the Firefox Sync settings, there does not seem to be a way to update my primary email address (no button beside the email). I can only add a secondary email, which is not what I want. Every time I wake my computer up or start it, I get the attached error about a profile not being compatible. I did switch to the ESR release channel a while back, but I deleted the old profiles; the folder is gone and the profile manager shows only the ESR profile. I have also tried to prevent firefox from starting on startup, but it keeps happening. Does anyone know how to prevent this error from happening, or have any ideas of how to investigate what's going on further?

I have a problem with my primary email. I cannot send out or receive. I'm working with my provider but no resolution as of yet. They did check my settings at the provider level but said everything looks good. I've thoroughly checked and rechecked all my email settings and am unable to see a problem. I'm thinking that since I am not signed into my browser (Mozilla Firefox) with it telling me my account is disconnected that I need to Sync my account, but I cannot do that.

So, I have been trying to Sync my Mozilla account but being I have a problem with email I am unable to receive your email code to completely sign into my Mozilla account. What I am wanting to do is to sign into my account and add a secondary email address so to receive your sign in code so that I am able to finish syncing my account.

I am lost to know what to do from here! You will be unable to reply to me using my regular primary email address because as I say, I cannot send or receive, so how can you even help me? Please help me somehow! I'm sure you have my phone number being I would think it's on my account. Can you phone me? Hopefully! Not sure whether I should put a phone number or the added secondary email address in here so you can add it for me. I can't sign into Mozilla to do anything. I went through my Google account to get this far so to hopefully send this to you. Your help would surely be appreciated!
