On all three computers, I have "Always ask you where to save files." On all three computers, it never asks and always stores in Download.

On my work computer, Outlook's problem is that all hyperlinks open in browsers while we use Sharepoint links. I want the pdfs to open in Acrobat. I've changed the Applications section, just below Downloads, to use Acrobat for pdf files. I was hoping that would mean Outlook would tell Firefox, my default browser, to open the pdf, FF would see it's a pdf, and it would open Acrobat. That's not happening.

Any clues how to resolve either?

My browser is being managed by "your organization" but I belong to NO organization. How do I regain control of my own browser?

144.0.2 firefox version has an issue with bookmarks keep, they keep dissapearing & i have to use firefox fix from uninstall option to restore. unable to use email links as it requests that i close firefox window before it can open links, when i do this all bookmarks are gone & i then have to start again. I'm running win11 25h2 with all updates done both chrome & edge are not causing issues

How can I get rid of that logo? I tried the "flip flag to false" and it didnt work.. I have downloaded BRAVE and will use if for now.. When someone can explain how to remove it, I will use Firefox again.. I don't like it... I like a clean home page, and would think I can have the option of removing it.

Trying to set up Firefox on new computer. Haven't used log-in for years. My email account is closed. So code is sent to defunct email. How can I get access to my account so I can change my email address and get Firefox synced to my new computer? I have received 3 system alerts, all from Mozilla Firefox (I use Firefox as my default browser). 1) System is infected!---click on d45n9f8ko90s738b610.gsx-protect.co.in 2) ZEUS.2020 Trojan detected--with same directed site 3) System Alert!---with same directed site.

I use McAfee as my security system. They recommend going to Firefox settings and disallowing random site connections. How do I get my system running again.

For some time now while using Firefox, I've had to reenter my password when trying to visit new tabs of the site discord.com, even when using a link that should directly take me there (or duplicating the tab.) This is unexpected behavior and on a new profile of Firefox (or in other browsers), discord remains logged in even when the site is visited in a new tab.

Now you should probably know that I use the more tools option to customize the look of my browser. I generally enable the titlebar and bookmark toolbar for personal preference. After several hours of testing and tweaking and trying to bug test the issue I've realized that there is a correlation and discord only forces me to log in again when I have either the titlebar or bookmarks toolbar enabled on the current profile.

I would really like a fix that I can either do myself or would like to see this bug addressed in the future. There's no reason that my choice to use the titlebar or bookmark bar should affect my browsing?

I can log into a random website and it goes right in then turns black and i can't see anything, i shut it down .... bring it back up and it does it again, any ideal what is happening ?

I recently added the primary password (master passwrod) for my firefox browser from the settings.

Normally it locks the browser functionality until the password is correctly entered, but one thing I noticed recently was that the hyperlinks/webpage links from 3rd party app (discord/pdf readers/etc) opens the website regardless of this password input. I can use the page to browse the internet, although the password still works for locking other things like firefox's built-in password manager.

Is this intended mechanism for a "locked" browser?

How can i access the side bar ai, i use it quite often for classes to make sure i'm getting things right and use it to get some ideas on how to make my notes but my old laptop had it and now this one wont let me access it at all. I need that sidebar to help me with school and it wont let me access with it. The article you provide says no way to activate it or how to download it.
