I've been searching for three days now for a solution that will work to restore my profile from a crashed windows-7 machine to my new windows-11. Nothing listed in any forum or help desk works as described. I used to be able to just rename the folder to the exact file name on the new PC, but windows 11 won't let me do anything. It always needs admin permissions and even after I activated the admin account and assigned a password, I still cannot copy to the folder or rename the folder. Every attempt to do this on W-11 fails. It shouldn't be that hard and I'm tired of wasting days playing with this. I have important bookmarks, passwords etc. I want restored, and I need help. Nobody wants to pick up a phone anymore to assist!

I have never used "sync" because I have multiple PCs and each used for different applications and yes some go back to W-7, the operating system that actually worked well. Each PC has Firefox and a distinct bookmark file.

I went to "about:profiles" and created a new profile thinking I could copy to the new folder, but when i switched profiles I couldn't get back to the original default! HELP!

Tried to download Firefox onto my android mobile, but it kept saying I have to get the app from google.

Due to my ‘thing’ about internet security, I will not use google at any price!

Can you direct me to where I might get the app elsewhere, please?

I have been having trouble with my Windows 11 laptop. In my efforts to resolve these issues I noticed that I now have two installs of Firefox in my Control Panel. Both installed during my time of dealing with my Windows issue. Five days apart Feb 5 and 10, 2026. Both show the same version number 147.0.3, and same size 322MB. I have used FF for many years so these seem to have been installed sometime during my efforts to repair Windows. My FF was never a part of the Windows issue AFAIK.

Anyway I have FF working as I like with my Session Manager and various AddOns and personal settings, so I do not want to have to start over with FF. So how do I choose which instance of FF to uninstall in Control Panel?

My issue with Windows was my Outlook would not connect to the server. I assume Microsoft Exchange server, my internet connectivity was fine. And FF was fne as well. I eventually was able to repair my M365 connectivity. Major PITA from out of nowhere.

Without the correct password, I cannot sign in. However, I want to use Firefox on Windows 11. When I searched with a 6-digit number, I was not specific enough and my got the wrong? Firefox account. Walk me through this please.

I only use Firefox to play two browser games that both use the 1-5 keys as an alternative to clicking the mouse. Accidentally clicking Ctrl and switching tabs out of nowhere is becoming a really annoying problem, but I don't see any way to just turn off shortcuts and hotkeys like other the other browsers I use. Is there any way to do this? Even a specific extension that makes the Crtl button do nothing would help, the one I was recommended won't download due to a "corruption".

The website commonly used by Arizonans to make filings for court, will not work properly with Firefox, even after turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection. I had to use Chrome instead.

Firefox deleted many folders in my bookmarks file. Then, trying to straighten this out, Firefox has completely changed its home page layout and I can not manage it even in the simplest way. I want to restore everything to how it was two or three days ago.

"Oops, your browser's HLS setting is too low." Trying to stream, in browser, and I'm completely blocked today. The browser says it's fully updated. And yet.

Whatever the case, where and how do I check and/or adjust the HLS setting?

I have finished my setup. But it keeps saying "finish setup" in the upper right corner of the browser. I have completed all the steps. I want to sync this desktop to my mozilla account. What do I do?

When on Firefox desktop I can't reveal any passwords. Currently, it's set to prompt for a user login from the computer to reveal a password but it doesn't show the prompt when clicking to reveal a password.

Restarting the browser doesn't seem to work. Restarting the computer doesn't seem to do the trick either. I tried signing out and back in from my Firefox account but that didn't work either. I tried using mobile Firefox and that seems to work properly. Passwords also auto-fill like normal, basically the only thing not working is the password reveal. I'm not exactly sure what I can proceed to try next to fix this.
