When I open a new tab I want it to open in my homepage which is google. I cannot seem to change this unlike IE which allows me to change this to what ever settings I choose. How do I set all my tabs to google? Instead of it coming up as blank page (untitled)?

For example, if I want to sign into gmail, it asks for the username. As soon as I type in the first letter, it gives me a selection which it stored. Once I made a mistake and typed my password in there which also begins with the same letter. How do I clear the list? Actually, how can I set Firefox so that it doesn't automatically store that information.

Going to a news or weather site and seeing the news or weather from 3 days ago is ridiculous. I erased all history, I set private browsing, told Firefox to not remember history, all in vain. It still displays the old content until I refresh.

In Microsoft IE I can access the Temporary Internet Files through the Tools/ Internet Options/ Browsing History where i can find all the website, pages and pics that i visited sorted by day or type or whatever. This feature i couldn't figure it out where in Firefox or if its available or not. However, Firefox is amazing and i wish if you can provide this option

I have used the Belkin transfer cable which did not transfer the bookmarks. I can't find them on my C Drive. I'd like to transfer them manually using a thumb drive but can't without locating the file with the bookmarks.

Firefox and its bookmarks are on the original computer. At this time I can't use the synch function, but must manually transfer the bookmarks. How do I recognize in the files and copy on an external device and then transfer

I would like to completely disable the "this connection is untrusted dialog." I am an administrator and deal with many intranet sites. It is not cost effective to set an exception for each site. Corporate standards require us to use either IE, or Firefox, and I would prefer not to have to use IE.

To be clear: I am not looking for a solution that lessens the amount of overall clicks, like in browser.ssl override behavor in "about:config" nor am I looking for an Add-on (like "remember certificate exception"). I am looking for a way to remove the "this connection is untrusted" dialog completely.

The FireFox' disk cache foler is set to D:\Cache (I set it so from about:config).

I cleared the disk cache, watched a YouTube video (almost 2 minute long), then looked into D:\Cache. But the video I had watched was not there! (I found two .SWF files. But their sizes were smaller than 250K. And, stand-alone SWF players couldn't play them. Therefore, they can't be YouTube videos.)

So, where does Firefox cache videos?

How does one change the zoom level of a Firefox webpage? In Internet Explorer you can do this with the icon in the extreme right corner of the Status Bar. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

My grandson started typing on my keyboard while I was out of the room and now the initial screen font size is so tiny I can't begin to read it. How can I reset things to the default values.

IE allows me to bookmark my favorites and keep them listed in a vertical column on the left side of the screen--which I keep open at all times. Is that function possible in Firefox?
