I have an insane amount of crashes i have tried everything i think my pc is just damaged either windows or disk or viruses i have no idea?! all my browsers same issue including firefox

CVE-2024-4367 has been announced several days now with MITRE and CIS. There is also an issue/advisory on the github repo for PDF.js which appears that the fix has been merged into the master commit of PDF.js (https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-wgrm-67xf-hhpq).

The vulnerability is pretty serious and yet there is no Security Advisory from Mozilla on affected versions, etc. (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/)

Is this normal and I am just being impatient?

Hi Friends.... This morning logged into my website as usual and this message appeared on the home page. I have not checked the link as it seems potentially malicious ... It does not appear when visiting my site on Safari. I have emptied the cache I have been through troupbleshooting mode I have reinstalled Firefox and it still is there..

How to rid myself of this

Hello, By default, DoH fails on Max Protection in the latest OS versions listed above. The workaround I've discovered is using https://1.1.1.1/dns-query, but I would rather use the default settings.

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? I'm running Firefox which I compiled with vaapi support because I was trying to use hardware acceleration for videos, so I think this bug may have something to do with that. Every time I open a pdf file my browser instantly crashes. When I use troubleshoot mode I have no such issue. I then tried with a fresh all-default user profile with no add-ons, nothing, and still I crash when loading a PDF. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Sometimes I find that Firefox just randomly closes on my laptop, usually when I step away for about 10-20 minutes. I can't find any info in the about:crashes page when it happens.

Is there a way to turn off tracking URL fragment insertion from the release notes page when clicking "What's New" in the Firefox update modal?

When I click "What's New" in this modal (see Screenshot 1), it loads the release notes page for my current version (although it really should load the release notes page for the version it wants me to upgrade to, but that's another issue altogether), and inserts a bunch of tracking URI fragments onto the URL (see Screenshot 2).

Is there a way (in Settings, about:config, Windows Registry, etc.) to disable that fragment insertion?

Yesterday on my linux computer I noticed that my container setup ise back to the default setting. Now I'm using my windows laptop, and it is als back to the defaults. I'm afraid the same thing will happen when I start using my windows desktop. Should I poll the network cable and delete my firefox sync data, so I can hopefully save my containers setup? Or is this not going to help, and I'm fucked anyway :)

Hi there, thanks for your attention I'm a web developer and new to using firefox. I was using chrome for years and now just because firefox on android let's us install add-on like it's desktop version I'm switching to firefox. as a developer I need to learn about the features firefox offers to developers or ask for any features that are missing right now, so my current issue is about the pictures I will attach. I want to have more information about the element that I'm inspecting right in the tool-tip over it for example it's active font-family or things like that. It took me sometime to figure out how to find the active font of the target element thanks to This post. but in chrome it's showed in the tool-tip.

mecburi bu durumlarda başka tarayıcı üzerinden girip yapmak zorunda kalıyorum.

bu konuda yardımcı olursanız sevinirim yoksa sevdigim tarayıcmı değiştirmek zorunda kalacagım

It looks as though installing this 115.10 ESR will be a "new Install" instead of an update.

1) Will I lose my bookmarks, settings, passwords, ect? (My bookmarks have been collecting for years....)

2) If I try this will creating a restore point return me back to the way I was before the attempt?

My Firefox browser is somehow corrupted with foreign language features. See in the picture that much of the text is in English - the selected and preferred language. It is what the Settings are set to. But notice that bits and pieces are in some other language. I recently made a trip to Spain and used translation features while there - but those was all reset to English. I've gone into Troubleshooting mode; I've restarted; I've reset and restarted. But I can't seem to get rid of the gibberish. WTH!!!! All copies of Firefox, on all owned Mac machines (i-Phone; Mac Mini; I-Mac Pro; I pads) are set to English. About the only thing I haven't done it uninstall and reinstall Firefox. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I have firefox updates set to auto. But I want them to load updates when im not using the browser. What currently happens is I open the browser only to get shanghaid by the update process. I dont want that. when I open the browser I want to go straight to what i am doing. I dont want to have to sit there and wait while the browser updates. If it did updates once a month or less it wouldnt be such an issue but the damn browser is updating every few days or even every day and it always wants to do it when I want to do my own work. IS there not a way for the browser to update while im asleep at 3 am? When Im not wanting to use it. Its so irritating. It causes me to not bother with updates. I dont want to comply. When IM given a choice for any updating I set updates to install in the early hours when Im not inconvenienced by it. How can I do this with firefox?
