Hi, I'm running Firefox 145 on a MacBook Air, with MacOS 12.7.6 (Monterey). When I try to add a bookmark to an existing folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar, it will not show up. It does show up if I go to the hamburger menu, and then Bookmarks/Recent Bookmarks, but not from the Toolbar. This is true for any folder on the Toolbar. I do not have this problem with Firefox 145 on Linux Mint Cinnamon. Is this a bug or a feature? Please advise, and thanks.

For the last two to three weeks The Firefox updates have changed the way bookmark data is retained. Firefox will allow bookmarks to be added and retained on the tool bar for any sessions - until firefox is restarted and then the bookmarks no longer work.

Hello, I want to get rid of the list of "recent bookmarks" - I don't want other users of my computer to see them. I've already set Firefox not to record history. Online search provided no useful information. My Firefox is always thelatest version. Hope you can help! - Raymond

In Windows 10, I could open Manage Bookmarks with one mouse click on Manage Bookmarks on the Bookmarks toolbar, and the bookmarks would open at the top of my organized list, with the Bookmarks Menu already displaying. One click! Fantastic!

Now, in Windows 11 I am unable to open Manage Bookmarks on the toolbar, as it doesn't exist, and does not exist in the Customize toolbar display either. Instead I must click on the "Show Your Bookmarks" icon on the Bookmarks toolbar, then click on Manage Bookmarks, then must scroll the results to the top, then click on Bookmarks Menu. This procedure, compared to how simple things were with Firefox, using Windows 10, is a real waste of valuable time.

Is there any way to open Manage Bookmarks, with Bookmarks menu displayed, with one click of an icon on the Bookmarks toolbar, as was the case with my Windows 10?

Hello. I'm having trouble with my Bookmarks Menu. All it shows is my recent Bookmarks. When I click on manage bookmarks. It shows the folders that are supposed to be in the Bookmarks Menu. And I can see the Bookmarks I have added to those folders. But none of it shows up in the Bookmarks tab in my Firefox browser menu. It just says recent bookmarks at the top. And of course shows my recent Bookmarks. Any suggestions on how I can get it to show my folders?

After lastest updates of both firefox and OS on samsung S23Ultra all book marks are scrambled. Out of their folders and lots of repetitions. I lost all ability to look and find anything.

What happened???

See the attached image: I have sub-folders Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, and Other Bookmarks all within a folder called All Bookmarks. The first two are empty, every single one of my bookmarks is in the Other Bookmarks sub-folder. I can't delete any of these folders. On which planet does this make sense?

The "All Bookmarks" super-folder should have all the folders in the Other Bookmarks sub-folder and it's three current children should all be send to an orphanage.

Any way to accomplish this? Obviously the folder names are unimportant (At least to me).

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, made sure my show bookmarks all the time was on, have been Googling and Googling and reaching out for several hours and cannot find out what happened to all our often-visited sites located under our url bar. I have done everything I know to do. I have tried dragging and dropping and it will not allow me to do that. I never had to sign into anything. Firefox just opened up and there everything happened to be. There is a square with an arrow through it that says Import bookmarks where my bookmarks were on the bookmark toolbar. I can close and open the bookmark toolbar, so I know it is there and open, but there is nothing in it. I have restarted and started my computer. This used to be easy. Right-click a site saved in your bookmark and drag it to the bookmark toolbar or there was a choice to move to or pin to bookmark toolbar. It had to be easy because I do not do complicated. Help, please. I don't have that many more years to live and I don't want to spend them frustrated :O Also, when I open Firefox, I see no paddlock or shield in the search bar. I see both now when I'm in the support page, but not upon the opening of Firefox, which I consider my home page for Firefox browser.

When I am on a website that I want to save to my bookmarks, I click on the asterisk at the top right of the website, select a folder from the bookmarks menu and click on "Save". This used to add the required website to the bottom of the selected bookmark folder so that I could easily use it again at a later date. This no longer works. I go through the procedure but the website does not appear in the bookmark folder. I have seen related questions and answers but not exactly the same and would be grateful for any assistance.

bold text I have been given a new firefox and this is so far out of what i need that i am about ready to call it quits -- where is my toolbar? All i have is some bookmark nonsense that has nothing to do with me or what i search for --
