In windows 10 I have disabled ClearType antialiasing. Because of this, Firefox does not make antialiasing of some fonts: Firefox-Google Firefox-Wiki

On the same system, Chrome browser does antialiasing (grayscale): Chrome-google Chrome-wiki

How to force the Firefox to use antialiasing the same way as Chrome?

Firefox is 113.0.2

One of the foreign website I need to visit seems to work only with ASCII chars on its URL, even though the website itself will request URLs with foreign characters!

Is there a work around?

I have vision issues. I would appreciate that an outline of the empty check boxes in your FireFox settings was made available. I cannot tell at a glance what the configurable options are at a glance.

I don't like Firefox videos showing up in my media player controls, so I turned off media.hardwarekeys.enabled, but it doesn't seem to do anything anymore. I'm pretty sure it used to work at some point, don't know when it stopped working. Even though I have it turned off, videos still appears in the Media Player on my panel, and I can play and pause them with the play/pause button on my keyboard. I have also tried disabling dom.media.mediasession.enabled, but that doesn't help either.

With my last version of firefox I was able to right click and select take a screenshot. However, the item is now missing from the context menu? I am unable to bring back the feature or find it in the customize toolbar items either?

Example. Let's say I'm using FirefoxTranslations to translate an average-sized article, on Wikipedia, from German into English.

On the top left hand side of the screen, FirefoxTranslations tells me it has downloaded 17'140'835 bytes.

It always seems to be the same amount of bytes. This is downloaded for every single translation.

I thought that, once downloaded, the vocabulary would be stored, locally, on my computer. Permanently.

Doesn't look like it's happening.

What am I doing wrong?

I need some help with figuring out why when I switch from windowed mode to fullscreen mode my theme breaks. First image is how it should look and how it normally looks while I have a small window open and it isnt stretched. Second picture is what it looks like when I stretch it out or go fullscreen mode. I was wondering is there a way I can fix it myself or can it only be done by the author?

Is there any way to turn off the button "Open video in a new tab" that appears when you hover on an Instagram video? This button is blocking a button from an extension that I want to use.

Hello. I run Firefox as my main laptop (Mac) browser. I have added Zotero to manage my writing reference citation library, and have downloaded the current Zotero Connector for Firefox. I should be able to add references from online, by using the Zotero save icon that should appear on my Firefox toolbar. But this icon is nowhere to be seen and I cannot see how to make it appear. The whole advantage of Zotero for me as a writing academic is pinned to this function, so I am anxious to get it working. How can I get the Zotero save icon in its proper place on my Firefox toolbar, just to the right of the search window? Many thanks

Every time I go to Fox News, the video at the top of the page drops to the lower right-hand corner. It's an annoyance I've been searching for a way to eliminate. I have pop-ups blocked in preferences and I have a couple of different pop-up blockers, but nothing seems to work. I'm currently using Firefox 114b.09 on a Mac Desktop.

I upload my customised themes on firefox add on store. I want to try my theme before I upload it into store to view how its looking, to find out any errors, etc. I tried using the below method ( Image 1 ) but this error occurs ( image 2 ).

I see in the blog the roboform extension does not work with Firefox for many users. It errors that it only works in a browser. Why can't Roboform see or associate the connection when Firefox browser is in use. If it is in use, then Roboform should work. Is it a Firefox problem or a roboform problem? Between both of you surely someone can resolve this problem? It seems Roboform has washed their hands of the problem because they reply with a standard enable process that doesn't work for many people. I am on my 2nd new computer and still have the same problem. Again the error states it only works when the browser is in use. If the browser is in use, then what is the problem? thanks for any assistance you can provide.... I like Firefox and Roboform, it would be a blessing to have both working at the same time. Hi, Does anybody know why I cannot use an adblocker from TotalAv when I have used it in the past? Also, why is Firefox not able to connect to Virginmedia? or should I say virgin does not recognize firefox? Sorry to ask two questions at once.

I found the use of using right-click on images to get a general menu, and the middle-clicking on "Open image in new tab" a boon, because it would often enlarge the images and make them easier for me to see.

In the past two days, suddenly this has become a hit or miss situation and I'm not sure why. Sometimes I can middle-click on "open image in a new tab" multiple times and get no response. Other times if I hold down for a while and then release, it will open the image. And then other times again it will work as intended.

I'm not quite sure why this issue has suddenly occured.

Firefox is up to date, Version 113.0.2 (64-bit). My mouse is a KLIM Blaze, drivers 3.1 which again seem to be up to date. My middle-click in new-tab is set to true in firefox's config.

Does anyone know why these issues are happening?

We are using Firefox Portable for our self service kiosks however we are having real issues while printing longer order slips.

When we want to print slips longer than 25cm, Firefox automatically rescales the PDF and makes it so small that you can't even read sometimes.

Then we extend the paper size so it does not need to rescale however this time if the slip is short it prints the whole blank space remaining wasting a lot of paper.

Chrome does not do that and it only prints the non-blank area on the PDF.

We have tried numerous tips on here and stackoverflow (using about:config) but none seems to help.

I have attached a photo of the slips printed by both browsers for you to see the exact difference.

Sometimes when a a browser add-on is having trouble, I removed it, then hit undo, and sometimes it works again after that adds it back on. I thought I'd do that today since some were showing blanks instead of their icons. I did one from the manager just fine, but when I removed one from the toolbar instead of the manager, no undo option was presented, and I don't recall which it was. How can I undo, or view recently removed extensions?
