Not exactly sure when it started, but youtube shorts are broken in Firefox now.

You can scroll to the next video fine, but if you continue to scroll to the next after that (3rd consecutive video) you get redirected to the first video you started with.

I did try to restart FF in Safemode, but no change. In other browsers (Chrome, Edge) its still working.

Hello, I recently started using firefox and I have a small nitpick with the custom search engines.

I wanted to add two shortcuts: one for youtube, by using the keyword "y", and one for google images, by using the keyword "ima". I added the google images search engine by following the advice posted by Mushaf in this thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1164407.

My issue is, the youtube shortcut is activated when I type "y" and then either press tab or space, but the google images shortcut can only be activated by pressing space after typing "ima", tab doesn't work. I'm guessing it has something to do with the unorthodox method that I had to use to add it in the first place.

Does anyone know what could be causing this, or any other alternative methods of using search engines that would avoid the issue? Many thanks in advance.

I logged into my bank account yesterday and wasn't paying attention. After I entered my username and password, the next page had two options:

Yes - this is a trusted computer or device (like a home or personal work computer)

No - this is a shared/public computer or device (like a friend's or those in a library)

I accidentally clicked the first option and now it no longer sends me a PIN to enter to log in to my account. I've looked through all the settings to clear this setting, and even tried to clear ALL cache (every thing was checked in the section of the Settings page), but it still logs me in without prompting for a PIN.

How can I get this back to where it was so that it is always prompting for the PIN?

i searched for how to bookmark an entire window. google gave me: https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/94180 as well as https://support.mozilla.org/eu/questions/1144799 there are probaby many others.

1. both are archived. 2. both are obsolete. Unless I am doing something wrong, in the BOOKMARKS menu there no longer exists "BOOKMARK ALL TABS"

So, why, when an article is archived is it not marked as to what versions of FF it applies? another way to think of this: Why archive a question that WILL ALWAYS BE A RELEVANT QUESTION?

and what is worse: why does searching for "bookmark all tabs" come up empty searching FF help?

Another way: Stop changing FF so much !!!! It is a pain the you-know-what.

And, why does searching for "BOOKMARK ALL TABS" in FF doc come up empty? No wonder the same questions are asked over and over again.

2. what does the word "WHO" mean?

      ha ha.. never mind that question.   same old issue as has become rampant on the internet.   Web pages NOT IN FULLSCREEN mode, just truncation stuff.   In this case the F3 search popup is rudely truncated and, in my case show a box simply labeled "Who".     But, this is, pure and simple, a design flaw.  Or shall we call it lazy programming?

Took me a long time to nail this issue down. Recently (past 1-2 years?), Firefox has started suggesting the base website when you have bookmarks that include the base domain - and it's really bothersome from a UX perspective. E.g. if i have "adobe.com/express" or any other adobe bookmarks, the FIRST autocompleted url Firefox gives me is "adobe.com" which I DO NOT have as a bookmark. In my Firefox settings I also have Shortcuts and other search suggestions disabled.

I thought I'd fixed this problem by Refreshing Firefox, and it did work for a day or two, and now it doesn't work properly again.

The problem: Some pages, e.g. startpage.com, and some add-ons, e.g. Privacy Badger and Simple Tab Groups, show blank when they are loaded. E.g. When I go to startpage.com the page is blank. When I click on the Privacy Badger icon it is blank, when I click on the STG icon it shows the spinning sign but never loads. If I go into the Options page for STG it is blank. Whatsapp Web doesn't load, it stays stuck on the grey loading screen. I have this kind of behaviour with lots of sites and other addons.

The problems exist in Troubleshooting mode but not in Private Browsing or another profile. Closing all tabs and loading a clean window doesn't change anything. I've tried clearing ALL cookies, cache, site settings, active logins and offline data, and that doesn't fix the problem.

Originally, before the refresh, as well as the blank pages Firefox was also incredibly slow at loading any tab. All of these problems seemed to start happening after 118.0.1 update. I've just installed 118.0.2 and the problems persist.

I discovered the error 500 problem when I tried to login here to get help! I've had to log in using Chrome :(

I could refresh again, but that's already proven to only be a temporary fix. There's clearly some problem that still persists across refreshes. Could it be tab related? Like I said, I've tried closing all tabs and loading a clean window and the problems persist.

All helpful suggestions welcome :)

when updating to latest firefox browser, all my tabs are gone. "Restore tabs" is not appearing as an option.

1 - any troubleshooting tips? 2 - does this happen everytime when updating firefox?

I had a problem that downloaded JPG and PNG files were being opened with Google Chrome. I have now managed to set the file associations in Firefox, but I'm still left wondering: where on earth did the default association come from?!? At the OS level, I don't have *anything* set to open with Google Chrome. Where did Firefox get the idea that Google Chrome was the default from? (The attached screenshot it what my Applications settings in Firefox were set to while I had the problem.)

For a while Google Drive's cloud interface hasn't been able to show "information" about files, i.e. pictures, text, file-data. The fault is not present in Android, Chrome and Edge so it is not Google Drive that is buggy. I'd rather not change to another web browser. Please present a fix. Hello. Can someone please explain why Facebook asks for username/password every single time Firefox is restarted? I do not use cookie-cleaning extensions. They also send a 'login attempt' email and phone notification every time.

Tried with and without Facebook Container. Not using other Container/multi-account related extensions. My settings:

Standard Tracking Protection (allow/block exceptions: none) "Do not track" signal: Always Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed: disabled (no exceptions) History - Firefox will: Remember History

Firefox won't show ever the window to save files or to open files. It happens on any website. If I press ctrl+S the "save as" window does not appear. If I try, on any page, to open a file for upload the window to select the file does not show.

Please advise!

I use Header Editor to remove content-type and content-disposition response headers so that I am not forced to download the resource but rather could view in browser directly. If I use Header Editor to remove them then Firefox starts to open this image or audio in Firefox itself just as I would expect from removing those headers. However when I view response in Developer Tools then I still see original headers. I suspect that it is because Developer Tools shows headers before any addons has chance to change them? If so is there a way to configure dev tools to show headers after all addons have finished their work so that it would be easier to debug the final result?

How do I stop getting this translation pop-up Firefox puts on my screen? I do not want this service, and I do not want Firefox to be putting ANY pop-ups on my screen, to include to tell me there's a new version available. Firefox has become the pop-up problem.

I have had this issue from the time that I purchased the new pc and attached it to my old Dell monitor. I've had Dell and Geek Squad involved both before and after I found this guy's fix in the Mozilla faq's. Before finding that I have had the new pc checked, the old and new monitor checked. All turned out fine system wise. So first suggestion from Dell - new cord - HDMI to VGA - didn't help. New monitor. Didn't help. Finally after much purchasing of technology and no changes a Dell tech was on using Edge browser. I realized that the monitor was perfect and told them so. So they tried Chrome and still the monitor text was fine. Firefox - back to blotchy. That's when I did the search in Mozilla faq's and found this other issue and "fix". I talked a Geek Squad tech into changing my display setting to "Extend Display" in Windows. Text totally disappeared from the monitor. So I've run out of options other than to set up everything under Chrome or Edge which I really don't want to do. But I may have to. In the meantime I've proved that I didn't need a new monitor or a new cord.

the color layers have shifted during the playing of videos, mainly youtube. This started a couple of months ago. There is a green line on the bottom of the screen and a definite shift in the colors on everything.

Trying to use the nsandi website. Their cookie option creates a banner across the screen. Usual options - edit/accept all/reject all But no matter which button I press, the banner doesn't go away, so am unable to access the site as it is greyed off.

I don't have the problem with other websites, nor when I tried this website on my phone which uses a different browser. I'm not technical so haven't a clue why this is happening. Would be grateful for suggestions. Thank you

I've encountered a very weird behavior: when selecting where to save a file or selecting a file to upload, the browser hangs 100% of the time.

Even when I go to about:memory, click Load, the path selection window appears - regardless of whether I select a file or close the window, the browser hangs and the window stops responding. I tried waiting for several hours - to no avail. Only restarting helps. Same with the upload selection window - regardless of whether I selected a file to upload or closed the selection window, the browser hangs. Before freezing permanently, the mouse cursor stops moving, then lags around a bit before recovering.

I tried cleaning download history, cache, recreated profile, restarted without extensions, in safe mode, disabled antivirus - always the same result.

Please advise me, maybe someone has encountered something like this - I really don't want to start using Chrome. My OS is Windows 11. Thanks in advance.
