Once again Firefox has decided to take over and change all my settings! I had finally managed to prevent it updating, as each and every time I had to reinstall all my setting and extentions from scratch. Today, it decided to clear all my preferences and change itself to its own default settings. OK, so I can change my profile option, except all three are using the same defaults: I appear to have lost all my settings and extensions entirely. OK, I'll copy from my backup, but once again the three backup profiles are being overwritten with the defaults. Even my third backup of last March overwrites to the defaults! How and why is Firefox managing to keep overwriting my defaults to its own preferred settings? How do I stop it doing this and regain my own preferences?

I also tried Sync and now I am getting bookmarks from over five years ago! And once again my settings are changing to the defaults. Surely a Sync should overwrite with the current bookmarks and settings not just keep adding more and more. I am now in a right mess again. Back to losing everything with updates. I am a great believer in the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' mentality, but Firefox has broken itself and is refusing to allow me to change to how it used to be! How do I restore my own preferences and prevent Firefox from changing them to what it wants.

Suddenly I can't sign-in to Sharepoint or Sharepoint admin console using my normal Firefox window. It works with the private window, but not the normal one. I've tested on another computer with the same firefox account sign-in and synced and it lets me sign-in there no problem. I've tried "Refreshing" Firefox, and that didn't work. I've tried uninstalling Firefox, deleting all the folders in appdata, then re-installing. Then I tried again before signing in to my Firefox account or syncing anything and it still didn't work. Any other suggestions? All the other O365 cloud login sites work, just not Sharepoint for some reason! It'll ask for my login credentials, then try and load, and then ask for my credentials again, over and over. Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 10.0.19043 Build 19043. Firefox 126.0 (x64).

It takes a lot longer than it should to load my home page, MSN. This problem is more pronounced with Firefox than other browsers. What can be done to load the home page faster? And, in general to load websites? Can someone help? Thank you.

I have two monitors; I keep my taskbar on the right monitor and run Firefox on the left monitor. For some reason, whenever Firefox gets minimized, the window moves to whichever monitor the taskbar is on (I've done some testing to confirm it is specifically the monitor the task bar is on). Because I also run a program called max.to to separate my right monitor into different sections, this action of minimizing to, and restoring to, the wrong monitor is also resizing my Firefox window.

Is there any way, any option I've overlooked, that would get Firefox to minimize and restore to whichever monitor is is actually running on?

I've attached an image that shows, as best I can get it, the window moving over to the task bar monitor when minimizing.

Hello, about 1-2 weeks ago a very strange problem occurred - on some pages videos don't play at all or play without a sound. Can anyone help me with this strange situation? For example, every video on youtube.com plays without a problem; on facebook.com every video plays with no sound at all; on some other pages video doesn't play at all. This problem is only with firefox, if I try to open the same videos with another browser everything is fine.

Every third or fourth website I open, I get the "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." error. if I wait a few seconds and hit try again, it works. Very frustrating and slows me down every day. Here is what I tried so far:

-Booted firefox in safe mode to make sure it is not any of my extensions. (This did not solve the issue) -Cleared cache time range "everything" (This did not solve the issue) -Made sure my version of firefox is up to date -Updated windows and restarted my computer

Some clues that may help you help me: -This issue only appears on my home PC but not my work PC or laptop -The websites I am opening work fine on other browsers.

when it comes to buying a new pc I will switch out to another browser, shame a good 12 years with FF.

I am travelling. I used a public wi-fi and norton VPN most recently. All my bookmarks are missing, altho they did appear on the toolbar briefly in the background. So where do I find them to restore them to the toolbar?

So i wanted to remove borderline between text bar and tab bar. After some googling i manege to do so by console(contl+shift+alt+i), in string "--tabs-navbar-separator-color: light-dark(rgba(0,0,0,.1), rgba(0,0,0,.3));" i change 3 to 0 and borderline gone. But every time i restart browser is all back. Is there any way to make it permanent ?

The PCH.com website says that I need to remove (whitelist) Adblock from their site in order to be able to play the games on that site. Firefox extension site says that they have removed Adblock....I need help!

Please advise how to prevent extensions, especially 'dark reader, ads blocker, etc. from loading thus forcing me to refresh Firefox desktop browser constantly? Thanks. Petar - drmitov@gmail.com

Hello! I am trying to create my own theme using Firefox Color, but the custom image I uploaded doesn't show in the actual theme, only the little preview. It is definitely small enough, so I do not know what the problem is. Is this able to be remedied? I am adding a screenshot so you can best understand what I mean. I have not used FireFox Color before, so if it is an obvious fix, I apologize for the trouble. Thank you, have a great day!

My website (serendipitygoatmilksoap.com.au) was built using WordPress - I love the website and how easy it is for me to edit/add and how Matt set the cart up for me is perfect but.......................I've made some changes to the wording on a page yet these changes are not showing on the live site from my desktop computer although Matt is saying the changes show when he goes to the live website????

I logged into the site, went by the how to of "Editing Page Content", previewed then clicked the "DONE" tab thinking all was good.........went to the live site but no edits I'd made (colours/fonts/formatting etc.) showed, I've enabled the cookies on the site via the settings but as I don't know what I'm doing I hesitant to do anything else without understanding what I'm doing.

I've attached images the first being the "before" and the second the "after" but I'm only able to see the "before". Could someone please explain how I'm to fix this and I would like a step-by-step if possible please.

Hi. I am having problems with pages in some websites not loading - eg games on Facebook, my account page in my bank website, etc. Facebook works fine but games do not load anymore (just get the loading message but the circle just keeps spinning, and I can login to my bank but it won't load any further pages. The games problem first started around February with one or two games, but has subsequently become worse so the ONLY game that will load is Happy Acres! The problem with my bank (and a couple of others) started about a week or so ago. I've been (reluctantly) using Microsoft Edge the past couple of days with no problem other than it's sloooooow!! Was thinking of downloading Chrome but haven't done so yet. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful. Many thanks in advance.

The Copilot website text field is the only text field I have encouraged where typing text does not get automatically underlined for spelling mistakes. I have the box ticked for 'Check your spelling as you type' in the general settings, and I have tried changing the about:config layout.spellcheckDefault value to 2. Nothing has worked.

The spell checking feature for the Copilot website text field can be enabled, but you have to manually enable it each time by right clicking the text field and making sure "Check Spelling" is ticked. It is quite annoying.

The "Check Spelling" setting on every other text field from every other website like this very text field I'm typing into right here right now for this firefox support forum, has the  "Check Spelling" setting ticked by default.  

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

The Lower Toolbar is quite handy, with for example Roboform.

Unfortunately, the way it's implemented, it comes above the lower part of the browser window, instead of being inserted at the bottom while the browser windows height is reduced.

That hides the search box when you type Control-F.

It would be nice if this could be addressed in a future release. I am using Firefox Developer 127.0b2.

Whenever I close my browser, it will show but when i open a new tab, it is gone and when i check settings, it is unchecked. I tried enabling both Shortcuts and Recent activity but only Recent activity is saved and Shortcuts is not saved.

After reading just a few questions and their answers here I realize that I'm never going to learn everything I need to know to feel comfortable or even enjoy using my desktop computer. As for my cell phone, I've never liked using it and unless someone helps me learn how to use all the available features in Firefox (plus everything else in a smart phone which I call that stupid phone) then I will probably end up throwing it in the garbage and will sit in waiting rooms reading a book or magazine instead of doing whatever it is everyone else is doing on their phones. Most likely they're texting which I just learned how to do a few months ago. I never thought texting was necessary for me to know but now it seems to be the only way my adult children keep in touch these days.

How can I possibly learn everything I can or should do with Firefox? I barely know how to use all the basic features even though I've used Firefox for years. Your updates come so frequently that I will never be able to catch up! Why don't you offer some courses strictly for seniors who need a lot or even just a little bit of guidance when it comes to tackling technological issues? I dislike new technology but we have to use it, don't we? So, make life easier for us older folks and offer a few virtual courses to help us learn what we need to know. Come on Mozilla you can do it. You offer the technology now show us how to use it!
