So weird, in the last few days, I've had intermittent behavior using FF.

Some examples - I log into my Gmail account, and it works for several minutes and then goes unresponsive and I can't get new mail, when I click the refresh icon or refresh the browser. - Last 3 days, when I click a hyperlink in an email, a new browser tab opens, but it's blank, the url doesn't seem to pass to the new tab - When I type a search term in browser address bar and hit enter, the tab refreshes but nothing happens... e.g. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=firefox

Troubleshooting steps tried. - Disabled all extensions - Started to uninstall FF, but got prompted to "refresh firefox" instead, which I did yesterday, but still have the same problems...

I can access Gmail and other functionality works fine on Chrome on same laptop. I've used different laptop with FF and it works fine, both machines on the same network....

Hi I don't know what has happened to Firefox, I used it all the time for many years, now I can't sign in to Outlook and have more problems than ever. It asks me to sign into Microsoft but all I get is a blank page. Firefox was always more colourful than other browsers that's why I used it and nothing you do to try to fix this problem doesn't work, it creates more problems than it's worth, that's why I use Chrome, but I do want to use FF. Not all of us are IT experts and can't do all these complicated suggestions every web site offers, so can you make it so much easier for us to understand and for example get Outlook to open automatically as it used to do, until you can fix this I will have to use another browser. I really do like FF but it's impossible. Geoff.

I never want to see this content again and am considering switching browsers.

I don't want to see or think about ads, i don't want to know what getpocket is. I don't want chefs plate and their columbiahouse 2.0 bullshit product. It is absolute trash.

I do not want to see these things. Ever. Again.

If there is no way to remove these things from my browser its time to go back to chrome.

One aspect of Firefox I value is the ability to customize headers and footers on printed webpages. This ability is important for my work.

I customized the headers and footers in the about:config interface according to advice posted [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1323433|here].

Recently, these settings don't take effect when I print webpages to pdf. I've triple checked that the settings are correct, but every time I print, the header and footer remain in the Firefox default configuration. Inexplicably, my preferred settings do take effect if I set the destination to "Fax." All other destinations don't work.

Is there any way to make these settings work again? Sadly, this might be a dealbreaker for me if not.

I haven't used my microphone in Firefox in years. I tried today, logged into Google Voice, which tells me it can't access the microphone. I set permissions in Firefox's settings. I turned up all the mic settings in alsamixer. I tried https://mdn.github.io/web-dictaphone/ , recommended in another thread here, and it doesn't record either. I can use the microphone outside X, with sox's rec. I also can't record a new greeting in Google Voice.

Firefox 100.0.2 , Linux, Slackware 64-bit, all packages updated this morning.

My system disk failed, so I had to restore it from pretty old backup, with old Firefox version installed and old profile data. Now I want to start Firefox and reopen all my recent tabs from Firefox Sync, but not from my local (old) profile. How should I proceed?

Per an article on yahoo news, I decided to clear data by going to: Settings->Privacy & Security->Cookies&Site Date->clear data

In hindsight, this turned out to be a mistake. Previously when using yahoo mail, it let me stay logged in for two weeks. Now I have to log in each time. There are also 2 or 3 other sites that logged me in automatically, but now have to log in every time.

How can I undo what I did?

I managed to restore the single-spacing for bookmarks, kept a prior version of FF, and fought off nags to update every time I opened FF . . . until now when I was tricked into "allowing this app to make updates to your PC". It wasn't the usual nag button and I thought it was some kind of simple bug fix, but no, I was "upgraded" to v. 100.0.2 and my bookmark spacing fix was overwritten. Furious isn't strong enough to describe my reaction. All this time, and all the other complaints, yet I find no way to decrease the excessive spacing between bookmarks. I understand that this design may be better for those who use a finger on their screens, but what about us mouse-pointer users? Why are we so disrespected? What can I do to decrease the space between bookmarks?

I'm not sure what happened in the latest update, but it broke the Canvas website that I use regularly for classes and homework. I've checked and confirmed that Canvas still works normally on Microsoft edge.

Extensions shouldn't affect the website because Canvas was working normally until the recent Firefox update.

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

I am getting Access Denied on many web sites that i have used frequently. For example, for the site https://www.apartments.com/ I get this message:

Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.apartments.com/" on this server.

Hi I'm using Firefox to open PDF files from a network directory. The reason is that it's probably the best PDF manager I can find.

• What I wanted to do was have an option to open the file in a native viewer such as Adobe, this way look at 2 parts of the document at the same time.

At the same time keep it in Firefox.

Is there a setting to do this or an add-on. The add-ons I've seen are meant to open directly to Adobe from a web link I think.

I know this has been asked before but I've looked through past instances and couldn't find a solution that still seems to work as of 2022. I need a way to disable certain built-in Firefox keyboard shortcuts. I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox but if I can't disable the ctrl+i and ctrl+b keyboard shortcuts I'm going to have to switch back. I use both very frequently for work, so their non-functionality in this browser is genuinely impacting my productivity and it's getting really frustrating.

Hello. On some of my sites that i try to get onto with Firefox its says performing TLS handshake then it goes to Secure Connection Failed and says PR_End_Of_File_Error. I am totally updated with Firefox, plus i cleared out everything in my history. That did not help. When i tried to get onto these websites with Chrome web browser i do not have this problem at all. Why is this? I have BitDefender Total Security newest version for home. My firewall is through them along with virus protections. So can you help me out with this ongoing problem getting on some websites?
