I just downloaded firefox 25.0.1 (BTW. I have windows 8) I downloaded shumway I run about:config and "click to play" was true re-started browser, run about:config and I cannot see shumway on the list I run about:addons and changed flaswave to "ask to activate" re-started browser, went back to about:config and shumway is still not there... Anyway I tried to see if I could open you tube videos byt every time is asking to allow flash to run them, I guess shumway is not installed... sorry I am totally illiterate on this stuff :(

We have an iMac. The OS is 10.6.8. Firefox is 25 and says it is up to date. In the past few days it now crashes after about 30 seconds to one minute of being opened. I tried to post the error message below but it has 130,954 characters and the limit is 10,000

Hi I'm having some issues currently with my Firefox v. 25.0.1. As soon as I start the browser up, it tries to load the restore session page from the previous crash. Pretty much before the page could fully load Firefox would crash.

I have tried to create a new profile and the new profile seems to work just fine but as soon as I try to copy the sessionstore files from the crashing profile to the new profile, the same thing would happen. From time to time I would be able to get the browser working but that's maybe once in 25 or so attempts where it actually loads up correctly for me to restore my past sessions.

the video plays normally only the audio and video come in breaks for example 0,5 seconds play 0,3 seconds pauze repeat repeat infinity i could play any video fullscreen in 1080p on any website in the past i didnt made any major changes to my computer or any changes to flash or firefox i am insured i have the latest updates installed and made a reboot to be sure

maybe there is some simple solution but im not a professional with chrome from google i have no problems with flash i just prefer firefox now i have to switch browsers each time i come to a video or i just skip the video

I upgraded to Maverick on Mac. Several websites with streaming video now display "Video Format or MIME Type not supported." I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Flip4Mac. The streaming content plays fine on Chrome and Safari. Any idea what to do other than permanently switch to Chrome???

On my home System, I am [still] running Windows XP. When I go to "Help -> About", I get the message that my version of Firefox (22, I think) is up to date. However, periodically, I keep getting pop-up pages that are blank except for a small square in the middle that states that my browser is out of date and I should "click here" to download the current version. Is this malware? How can I stop this from happening? I have run a couple of anti malware programs that indicate that everything is "clean" but I *still* periodically get these annoying pop-up pages. [Specifically, I have used Malwarebytes Anti Malware and run the full scan and that is in addition to using Norton 360 which also "runs clean".] At the same time, nothing else appears to be affected and currently I just cancel these pages. Any ideas? Note that I went to the "about:configure" exercise to look at the "useragent" and there was nothing there to reset (the "reset option" was "greyed out"). PLEASE NOTE: THE "PROBLEM" HAPPENS ON A DIFFERENT WEB BROWSER FROM THE ONE WHERE I AM POSTING THE QUESTION!!! THANK YOU!!

Hallo, I have a website hosted on HostGator when i read a table of my MySQL Database using FireFox 25.0.1 browser it is very slow, when i am using Internet Explorer reading the records it is much faster. I already reset FireFox.

When I updated to Firefox 25.0.1 all my add-ons were gone so I downloaded some of them again. My problem is with Flashgot when I downloaded it I can add the Flashgot (thunderbolt) sign to the toolbar, but the Flashgot media icon (which looks like a cinema reel) is not visible.

So basically when I try to add add-ons I right click on the Firefox toolbar which gives me the option to "remove or add items" by dragging them. So I dragged Flashgot media (called FG Media) (which is not visible in the menu by the way) and predictably was not visible on the Firefox add-ons toolbar

Anyone know what's up?

corporate user. I was syncing bookmarks. No longer permitted to do this due to security crackdown. I have removed sync account, but firefox still attempts to contact the mozilla sync servers periodically.

How can I stop these contact attempts?

If on the current Firefox instance the master password was typed in does Firefox overwrite the related memory area on exiting? If not it would be maybe possible to do a cold boot attack here.

Today i launched a new website, everything work exept that the background image does not load. There for my footer moves to the top of the screen.

I don't have any off these problems with other browser.

I tried the troubleshooting, cache empty, cookies ex. well everything i found on this site...

nothng seems to help the problem...

We have a problem or probably is a "bug" things are not clickable in the Firefox browser "Post button", and "links are not clickable" and "Edit post on the site such as Facebook or YouTube, or Google mail" is not possible because of that Firefox is unable to load web pages correctly + things become not clickable (links,Post button", and "links are not clickable, Facebook page settings, Google mail settings , Firefox keeps loading Web pages just like YouTube, A major problem or not yet solve the bug? When I run Firefox it just churns away and expires. Sometimes, if I just leave it, after ten/twenty minutes it will run v, v slowly. I have uninstalled and installed Firefox. I have the most recent version of Avira [14] and have removed Firefox and added to permitted applications, still no joy. Am writing this from another Browser. Also if I close Firefox and then try to restart I keep getting the Firefox is running... Getting seriously annoying now. I can only assume that Firefox is not quite up-to-date with Avira's version yet. The other browser runs without problem.

Today Roboform 7.9.2.5 toolbar, the latest version, no longer loads in Firefox 25.0.1. It is listed in the Firefox addons and worked fine previously (i.e. yesterday), but for unknown reasons won't load today. I have closed and reopened both programs, but it continues to be unavailable. Roboform does load appropriately in my other browsers.

I am getting this error everytime i'm trying to print a pdf document from the bsnl portal. Earlier, this used to open the save file dialog. In the previous versions (i mean, 22, 23) this was not present.

I am trying to confirm that is it firefox issue or the bsnl's problem?

I had issued with my ndvidia drivers over the weekend. I was not able to uninstall them to install the newest one. I had to manually go through the registry and delete all keys for nvidia. Then ran a registry cleaner, rebooted and was able to update to the newest graphics drivers. However since then, Firefox will crash almost immediately, or when clicking a link.

What I did then was uninstall Firefox, and also removed all references in the registry for Firefox (including deleting the directory it was under). I reinstalled Firefox, have NOT added any plugins or extensions as it still crashes.

Not sure what to do at this point other than discontinue using what was my favorite browser.
