[Since I can't seem to bring up a list of active topics like I used to, I have to report this bug this way instead of the bug thread which mozilla is not letting me see!

Hi,

I was reading this forum post on how to move a Firefox profile folder on a different location: the suggested modification is the same found on some other articles dating back many years.

Now a default Firefox installation contains an .ini file whose structure is changed as you can see in this image

The old file structure can be seen in this image.

Can someone suggest the right .ini file modifications to move the profile to a different folder?

Unable to play any videos on Amazon/Netflix. Just says Video unavailable. The same videos play just fine on Safari. Using a Mac Air M1.

After some investigation, it looks like the OpenH264 is not downloading (OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. will be installed shortly.) Widevine is installed on the other hand.

I have not saved the error message, however, when I tried opening firefox the other day there seems to be an issue with dll. I can physically open firefox however the home screen never loads. I can physically search things in the search bar and suggestions will pop up, but nothing will actually search. I recently installed all of my driver updates and other windows updates as well. I also tried to update and uninstall/reinstall firefox. I even tried to refresh it. Yes, I am connected to the internet because I am currently submitting this on the same computer via google chrome. I am wondering if it is possible that there is something wrong with the file I am downloading to make firefox run. I am out of simple fixes here and could use some help. I wish I saved the error message, but it was something along the lines of 000.00012f. This isn't it exactly but definitely a bunch of 0s and a 12f or f12. Definitely could use some insight since I am a student with assignments due in the next few weeks.

Why are there Chrome .idb files in my Firefox 85 browser? I've never used Chrome browser and don't have Chrome installed. These idb files take up a large amount of space. Also when first downloaded 85 seemed pretty fast. Now, after a few days it is back to being pretty slow. Could this Chrome stuff be effecting my browser in an adverse way?

and with some chrome extensions but only 3-row tabs, different color on unloaded tabs and show X on hover thats all my usechrome.css

PS: I don't want to change my theme to dark. It seems I have to change my css, but I dunno which & how.

About a week ago, Firefox suddenly stopped opening any download links I click on. When I click a link, the little dots in the Tab description slide back and forth and then just stop and nothing further happens.

I ran Firefox in Safe Mode and everything worked fine so I assumed it was an Add-On (I don't run any extensions). I restarted Firefox and disabled all extensions and then tried again...same problem, no downloads will start. I checked Hardware Acceleration and it's turned off and my Theme is set for basic.

As a further step, I uninstalled Firefox 32-bit and installed 64-bit. Unfortunately, the problem continues.

At this point I'm uncertain as to what else I can troubleshoot.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

Im working for my government posting applies to this certain website: https://voucher.gov.gr/ui/project/37/personal

When an apply is completed i printed on pdf to save locally.

This was fine till Firefox update 85.00 ( i jumped from 83.00 to 85.00, i don't know why. but i can reproduce it even on 84.00.

) When i tried to save as pdf, the character encoding of upper part of page (i think its header) you should defently see the exact same page to found out why ( https://voucher.gov.gr/ui/project/37/personal ) is appear with squares and the characters is losted, and unavailable. ( you can see here: https://imgur.com/a/W3g0Tz6 )

Also After the updated version for PRINT DIALOG (the new one) the new dialog, is not showed up, (see image)

if you are updating from old version with old profile. 

I had to delete the old profile to appear the new dialog, and there is no setting to get the new one, from old one.

On Firefox prior to 84.00: ( on 83.00 for example) this issue is not there ( and the page has not change at all), the save to pdf was working perfectly, and the characters as shown on the image, is perfectly grabbed and saved. I could not find any other website to replicate this issue so please, invest it here..

I am having issues with a couple of sites I go to often. The first is https://cnrtl.fr/ and the second is https://gallica.bnf.fr Both of these sites are working in my other web browsers but Firefox continues to say they are not secure. The first is a dictionary and the second is a site with manuscripts and documents from the 19th century and earlier which are in PDF format mostly.

These sites just just stopped working after Firefox 85 update.

Google calender not showing fully, only getting part of left column with month, can't click on anything

I've tried logging out and back in, I've cleared ALL history, cache, cookies, etc. I've tried restarting Firefox, no help. Gmail, Voice and contacts all show fine. This was working fine last night, less than 12 hours ago. System was shut down last night, and booted this morning, and this problem has occurred. Logged in via Chrome and calendar shows fine, so it's likely some probem with firefox. Hate to reset firefox and have to load all my extensions again.

Here are the extensions/Add-ons I have loaded. But bear in mind these were loaded last night, and have been loaded for many months at least, with no problems. AND, other Google site, gmail,voice, contacts all work fine.

Adblock Plus Bitwarden Don't Fuck with Paste Facebook Container Flash and Video Download Gmail reverse conversation Google Analytics Opt-out Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on (by Google) HTTPS Everywhere IDM: Youtube to MP3 Javascript Switcher Lastpass Open With Print Edit WE SingleFile

Below pic is what I see. Blue bar at top scrolls left to right continuously.

I've tried the Firefox reset/refresh option, exact same issue.

I'm even willing at this point to uninstall Firefox and reinstall from scratch, but how do I ensure ALL Firefox system modifications, etc. ARE removed?

HELP!

OK, apparently Firefox updated today- Feb 2, 2021 and it said to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect. I did that and Firefox loads, but it does nothing. When I hit "Home" it tries to work but it's apparently not accessing the internet. I can't access options either. I didn't uninstall because I don't want to lose any current settings, bookmarks, history, etc. I use Windows 10 on my laptop.

I did and automatic restart-- same result. I did a total shut down and restart-- same.

I checked with McAfee firewall and Firefox has access. No note comes up regarding any issue when I load Firefox.

I'm using Brave to write this, and there's no problem with internet access, obviously. 

So, which files or folders do I need to back-up so I can reinstall with bookmarks and history intact?

Hello, i was trying to configurate my wifi using ethernet connection and i got the messege several times even trying to access my provider page and my router page, however it does'nt happend with youtube, some how finally i got to my router page introduced my user id and password, i had to change my wifi antena and try with a a diferent driver but finally got my wifi working. But after that i got for first time in my life a blue screen on Windows 10.

Maybe isn't a big problem but i don't understand what happened, Firefox detected a true risk problem cause the ethernet conncection wasn't safe? Something (a virus or malware) enter my pc? Or was because a internal problem between firefox and a new not configureted router?

Also that messege appear on my android firefox one time.

BlogThis! (provided by Blogger/Blogspot/Google) is a javascript that I keep in my bookmark tool bar. Clicking on it opens a popup that includes the title/url of the focus tab for blogging. Cuts down substantially on cut/paste/edit that can impact accuracy.

It stopped working after the latest upgrade - 85.0 (64-bit) - and started throwing a "popup blocked" message in my way.

I have not tested the WordPress version - Press this - which is s similar javascript provided by WordPress for the same function.

Whitelisting the blogger.com url did nothing, and I cannot whitelist every site I might ever want to quote from without turning off popup blocking.

This is beyond annoying.

I get popup blocking. I use in all of my browsers, but for years I have been using FF as my primary browser. You seem determined to push me away. (Making me log into the browser, giving you access to everything I am doing just to ask a support question is also not cool.)

I want to set it as my default browser. I select a list of all browsers, but I do not see Mozilla, all other browsers are in the list, what could be the problem?
