Hi all.

My sync is only sometimes working. I notice that when saving a bookmark and trying to find it on another device. I sometimes have to manually resync it or wait for a few days to get it shown on my other devices. Same with the tab sharing across devices.. In most cases it doesn't work at all..

Is there a way to set the default view and sorting for file upload folder?

The default for me is, detailed view and sorted by date.

I wanted to change it to large icon and sort by name, so it's easier to upload images. but I have to change the setting for every individual folder, is there a way to just set it as default?

I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. Suddenly on my PC the icon of Firefox turned white on both desktop and taskbar. And whenever I try to open Firefox, it says, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." And I didn't make any changes myself. So far it was fine. Now what can/should I do?

YouTube won't start playing in Firefox. No add-ons enabled. The page is fully loaded, but clicking on Play makes nothing.

The fix is to disable "User recommended performance settings" and then disable "User hardware acceleration when available".

The problem is that hardware acceleration is enabled by default. In Edge or Chrome hardware acceleration is also enabled but it won't break YouTube.

I made a mistake and installed Firefox in the wrong location. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall where I wanted the software to be.

The installer now tells me that I had Firefox before and will only reinstall it in the previous directory. No other option is offered.

I am LONG used to being deprived of user choice by the likes of Microsoft or Apple, but Mozilla SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

I have a personal ' writing email' template in Yahoo mail which I use for a specific community. It contains relevant information which saves me from having to type it in everytime I email the community. However, of late when using 'Compose' the template appears but when I try typing below the salutation I cannot use the 'Enter' button to move the cursor down the page to create the body text. Consequently my emails are just one line of type with no paragraphing.

Why is this?

I am having trouble sending tabs from my phone to my PC. My device is connected to my computer, and I can send tabs from my PC to my phone successfully, but not the other way around. I have no idea what could even be the issue, and I have only seen people asking about sending tabs from PC to Mobile, not the other way around. Is there something I am missing? None of the Firefox troubleshoot pages have helped.

Hello, when initiating a request for conditional mediation with webauthn I get the following error:

TypeError: 'conditional' (value of mediation) is not a valid value for enumeration CredentialMediationRequirement.

However when asking whether it's available with `await window.PublicKeyCredential.isConditionalMediationAvailable()` it does return true. Is this a bug?

My iMac is OSX. I use Firefox browser most of the time. I had used Safari years ago. Chrome had rarely been used. Firefox problems recently began. Please help.

I need to pass a pc scan on my new hp all in one desktop for a new job with Arise.com It allows me to use mozilla firefoc for my pc scan, I continue to fail. please help

I've used FF for years and always had - "Open links in tabs instead of new windows" and "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately."

Until very recently this worked well.... now there are two identical tabs opening the link and the switch to immediately does not work.

everytime you update firefox, i loose my personal toolbar that took me a long time to set up. how do i get it back without all the work? also, what happened to the printer icon in the main toolbar?
