Is there anyway we can get an option to save passwords and sign ins and also a section for settings and desktop?

I am currently using linux based debian distribution OS and in my Firefox browser it dont let me auto saving my passwords and also that option is not highlighted
I mistakenly chose to save a password for a (specific) website and I want to change it back to Do Not save. How do I correct this mistake?

Firefox is not saving my passwords. Every time I start up my laptop, all the saved passwords are gone. I have tried a refresh and a new install as well, but the problem persists. I have to sync to my other machine to restore them.

On my previous laptop using Windows 11, a dialog box would open when I entered a username and password while online, asking if I wanted to save the username and password. On my brand new laptop, that dialog box does not come on screen. Id like to be able to store that info so I don't have to enter it each time.
