I was just updated to version 118.0.1 which is advertised to contain a webpage translation function. I clicked the show me button which sent me to the Firefox Mexico webpage. However, there's no Translate button/icon in the address bar. I've verified I'm running version 118.0.1 and have rebooted the computer. Still no Translate function observed. Any ideas?

None of the "solutions" I've found so far did work. -clear browser cache -clear browser history -restart firefox

I used to use Nimbus Screen Capture, until it started having issues with the latest Firefox configuration.

It was capable of allowing the user to create a template to customize screen capture title.

Is there any way to do this for the Firefox built-n screenshot tool?

Is there a way to stop Firefox from creating a desktop shortcut every time it updates? It is just desktop clutter for a lot of people, especially since Firefox is pinned to the taskbar anyhow.

On my firefox browser the Duo Security website keeps looping and not letting me login. I have tried private window and also have tried to install firefox again. The Duo security website is able to load on other browsers like Chrome and Edge without any issues. I also deleted the appdata and app profile and it is still not functioning. Any other recommendations that I can try?

Per version 118 we now have the possibility to have webpages to be automatically translated from its original language to another one. As end user I get prompted for every page I visit whether I would like that to be translated. This is quite the flow-stopper. I have no need nor interest for this amazing functionality. However, I can't find anywhere an explanation on how to disable that functionality. I would appreciate it if I was not prompted for this translation possibillty. My question: how to disable this translation functionality alltogether? (I.e. How to stop Firefox asking me about it?)

One version says go "Tools > Options > Content" - but my Tools mention has no options found

Other version says to " Enable JavaScript on Mozilla Firefox

   1. On the web browser, click the Firefox menu and select Options.
   2. In Options window, select the Content tab.
   3. Mark the Enable JavaScript checkbox.
   4. In Options window, click on the OK button to close it.
   5. Click on the Reload current page button on the web browser to refresh the page.

Centurylink Webmail will not open in Firefox. Worked yesterday but not today. Can open it on Chrome, Edge, and surprisingly a "Private" Firefox window.

I've made no changes to browsers in the past week so don't believe it is anything I did.

What is going on? Before, I was able to close firefox with the close button. Now, anytime i do that, when i reopen firefox it will not reopen the tabs. Sometimes I will be able to type in the search bar and almost get the windows to switch.

This is so annoying, ive already lost a lot of tabs i will not be able to get back.

There is no gear icon when I open a new tab. and my thumbnails are missing. Tried the solution here Right clicking does not give the option to restore defaults. value of browser.newtabpage.enabled is true. changing it to false did not change anything, neither did changing it back again.

Hello...I appreciate your using Shortcuts & they are very important to me. I once had a problem of not having enough Shortcuts, but that problem has been solved.

My problem now is that the number of COLUMNS in my TopSitesRows often change, without my permission, from 6 Columns to 8. That leaves me with a lot of blank links as well as a lot of links I have visited only once & have no plans to visit again. Why can't I keep the number of COLUMNS the same like I can when I choose how many Rows when I choose TopSitesRows?

For some reason, after a recent Firefox update on my MacBook Pro (Ventura 13.6), the pages for viewing individual products on Fjallraven website are not loading anymore. You will know what I mean if you try the link below. I did try to clear the cache on the browser but it didn't make any difference. Please advise how it can be fixed. Many thanks

After installing version 118, Firefox does not automatically explain the pages.I have to go out in the settings and choose the language of the translation every time. The problem occurs after the browser is synchronized. MX Linux system.

Bookmarks and Passwords All Lost I uninstalled Firefox due to an error and Firefox no long was working. Upon reinstalling I lost all my Bookmarks and Passwords. I tried everything to retrieve the bookmarks. HELP - I have been collecting them for years. Most importantly all my business websites & passwords are gone. How do I recover them? There is nothing in the “Old Firefox date file”.

If I have a firefox window open (one or more), exit it, and start again, I can restore the previous session. However, if in between I open private browsing, it for some reason overwrides the session restore history with nothing. Can I somehow a) restore the session afterwards? b) prevent this from happening in the future?
