Bought a new windows 11 ASUS laptop. Trying to install an HTML bookmark file from older windows 10 ASUS laptop. When I execute the HTML file import on my new ASUS windows 11 laptop, nothing happens. Even found and removed the "block protection" in the HTML file.

Why am I unable to import a firefox bookmark HTML file?

I've got plenty of bookmarks organized in folders and sub-folders (never could wrap my head around using tags). Normally, hovering on top of a folder or sub-folder just opens it. However for some unknown reason, some folders just don't open on hovering. By contrast, opening the "Manage bookmarks" pane shows all bookmarks are there and functional. The issue only appears in the menus, and I'm not sure when it appeared exactly.

Already tried: Renaming faulty folders: no effect Moving bookmarks into a newly created folder: no effect Moving faulty folders into an already-working folder: works, except if the folder is the one containing the root menu.

How to solve this strange issue?

I have many bookmark folders with many items in each folder. Some folders have many,many items in those individual folders. To scroll down the many items I have in a folder takes time. Is there any shortcut I can use to get to the end of the list in a folder without scrolling down for five minutes to get to the end of a list? I have looked in the Firefox website but I have not seen this question. I have many folders that have a lot of items I have bookmarked. Thanks for any help you can give.

It's NOT just Bookmarks but topic did not have a good choice.

My problem is that Firefox is opening with the wrong version? When I click a link in another program, like Discord or some others, it does not open with MY version, with the tabs and menus, etc. And if I try to save a bookmark it does not have MY saved bookmarks? So to get around this I copy the URL, open MY real Firefox, paste the URL into it, press enter to go there and then save I my bookmark. If I open my Firefox with a link to Firefox EVERYTHING is normal. It's ONLY when I try opening a link in a different program.

PLEASE Help, I don't know what is wrong. This only started about 10 days agO??

I have been using firefox for several years. Have my bookmark icon on the menu bar on the right hand top. The drop down list of bookmark appear on the right and submenus appear on the left of the drop down list. Recently one folder began showing the sublistings on the right side, it used to display them on the left. All of the rest are displayed on the left side.

The titles of these bookmarks displayed on the right are some of the shortest in length.

Is there a way to set this back to the left side?

in order to recover my bookmarks I need the code sent to [email2]@kyndryl.com instead of [email1]@us.ibm.com. [email1]@us.ibm.com no longer exists so sending the code there is not helpful. [email2]@kyndryl.com replaced [email1]@us.ibm.com

Good morning, Recently I discovered there are two maps called "Andere bladwijzers" in my Firefox browser. I deleted a submap in the second map and noticed this submap had also disappeared in the first map. Is there something I must do or can I leave these two large maps as it is? I've purchased a new computer and I'm wondering how to transfer all my bookmarks to the new one. WIll they automatically transfer when I install Firefox in the new device when it recognizes my email

I was getting ready to cleanup my Win 10 laptop using Disk Cleanup and CCleaner. I didn't want to lose my History and cleanups always remove it so I opened History > clicked on Import& Backup and choose Backup to create a bookmarks-date.json file.

When I went back after cleaning up and clicked on Restore, chose the correct json file it said "This will replace all of your current bookmarks with the backup. Are you sure?" I clicked OK thinking that would restore them, but when I opened Firefox not only was the Bookmark tool bar missing but all the bookmarks were gone!!! How can I get my Bookmarks back?? They are stored in my Profile, right? What do I do when I find the file? I see no options to restore the file.  ??/

I have a fairly recent backup of the whole hard drive. I could find the file and copy it but where would I paste it to get my Bookmarks back??

After the last upgrade my bookmarks disappeared. What happened? Saved passwords too. History too. Also want to add that it is difficult to get support when needed. Maybe I need to go with Safari.

My Mac iOS updated and erased all my firefox bookmarks. I tried to log in and it created a new account instead of logging in to my firefox account. i need help recovering my saved bookmarks

I followed instructions for adding bookmarks from html file. Got to "import from html" page shows No Items. There does not seem to be a way to select the local html file. I am using ubuntu 22.04.

Took screenshot but add images browse button does not bring up file list.

I mistakenly exited the left side bookmark sidebar. I would like to return it to the default setting, but have not been able to find instructions to do so or find a way to do it through the given menus.

hi my email: [email removed from public] i transfered firfox open tabs( i have android phone) from my phone to pc firefox 3 months ago. i collected them a long time and saved them in a folder with name mobile bookmark in my pc and then i cleaned all firefox data on my phone to speed up it . today i referred to see the bookmarks in my pc, the folder - mobile bookmark- was there but was empty. i searched net and read some suggestion as yours : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update but i can not see my bookmark . how can i do now? do you have any suggestion?

Having tried, it does not seem possible for me to install/upload/migrate bookmarks I have stored on Firefox on an old computer, to my new computer.

I am experimenting with changing from Microsoft Edge to Firefox. However, a couple of bookmarks that have favicons in Microsoft Edge do not appear to work in Firefox. Attached is a .gif showing me trying to add https://app.powerbi.com to the bookmark bar. You can see that there is an icon on the tab, along with an icon that appears when trying to drag to the bookmark bar. However, when it gets to the bookmark bar, it goes back to the default icon and does not show the actual favicon. The same thing happens when trying to add https://vscode.dev. However, both of those sites have favicon images in the bookmark bar on Microsoft Edge.

Any ideas on how to get the favicon to appear would be greatly appreciated. I understand that it may seem a pretty trivial thing, but I do a lot of screen recordings for my work, and want all of the icons on the bar to appear.
