i bought a new laptop and install firefox and connect to my account and sync but my data does not restore! my bookmarks,passwords, extensions and ....

what should i do?

please help me i need my data

Hi, it's been a while since I used Firefox and I don't seem to have a way of getting back into Sync with my primary e-mail address since I can't find my backup code. Who do I contact to either get my account deleted so I can start again, or get an account reset option set to my e-mail address? Ultimately none of my devices are logged in, and I cannot find my backup code.

The impression I have so far is that you have to sign in with another e-mail account (which is what I have done now), but this is not the e-mail account I want to use.

If Mozilla are storing my name and contact details for the sign in, would the best route be a formal request for deletion of personal data?

I recently got all new devices and traded in my previous ones and when trying to login to Firefox Sync, I can sign in successfully but then I’m required to provide the 6-digit code that is sent to my email. I am unable to login to my email because the password in stored in my Firefox Sync saved passwords.

Attempted to reset my email password (Gmail) but I need to enter the last password that I used, which I have no idea since I’ve always used Firefox Sync and all I get from Google is “we are unable to verify this account belongs to you”. So not much traction on gaining access to my email account.

In my mind, I assumed that by utilizing Firefox Sync as a form of a password manager, I wouldn’t be in this situation as long as I knew my Firefox Sync password. I have since learned otherwise. I can sign-in on accounts.firefox.com but of course making any change requires that I put in the code that was sent via email.

I attempted to download Lockwise and again prompted to enter the code sent via email.

So at this point, I’m just wondering if I’m out of luck and although I know my password to my Firefox account that I’ll be unable to regain access to it or my email because I can’t access the 6-digit code being sent to that email.

Any additional support or suggestions are appreciated but I feel like I’m unfortunately at the end of the line here on what else could be done.

Hi there, My good friend, just came across a problem as he forgot his firefox account password, this is being sent from my account as he has forgotten his password, is there any way that he can change his password without all of his existing passwords saved by firefox being deleted? Thank you.

Hello, I have folder with old Firefox data, I need Google account name and password, mostly name. How can i decrypt the name from file logins.json or how can I import it to my current Firefox profile? In properties of passwords in Firefox I don't have option to import from file, I don't know how to find option that will let me do it.

My desktop failed. I bought a new pc and tried to sign into firefox to get all my favorites synced. I had to reset the password as i couldnt quickly recall it and now all my favorites are gone. Please tell me how to recover them

If what im reading NOW is true, they are really lost. You should be spelling this out FAR MORE STRONGLY and tell people that they CANNOT reset. Its basically erased ten tears of my data and im utterly lost- i had impossible to recover links and passwords in there and it all appears gone. resetting and wiping is basically starting again. id have tried a bunch more to recover the password had i realized what was gonna happen. Im am so upset. I will now take this opportunity to change browsers as im starting from fresh so ive nothing to lose and for you to take such an enormous step without a strong enough warning is extremely poor.

during maintenance of my logins in my password manager I discovered that I still have the login data for a FireFox Sync account. I can login to that account and see my settings, but I actually want to delete the account completely. The problem: The mail address associated with that account does not exist anymore (changed the company). When trying to delete the account (or when trying to add a seconday mail address), Firefox Sync prompts me to enter a verification code that was sent by mail.

I'll never receive that code, as that original mail adress does not exist anymore.

How can I delete that FS Sync account?

After restart or shut down my pc when I reopen mozilla firefox my account automatically sign out form every site like Facebook , Youtube , instagram etc . I have to sign in every time with id pass . Please Help ?

I'm a "beginner" on Mozilla sorry if my question seems stupid, moreover, English is not my mother tongue. Mozilla is my main browser since 12 years.

I had a 2011 mac (personal) on which I had a bunch of bookmarks and passwords saved since 2011. I had Sync enabled back then and have a Firefox Sync key (8 series of 4 numbers/letters). On another Mac (for work), much more recent, I also use Mozilla and I created an account (with my email address, the same one I probably used in 2011) as soon as I installed Mozilla.

I have the impression that in the meantime the way "Sync" works has changed (before with a key, now with a login/password).

My problem is the following : my personal Mac broke (impossible to turn it back on) and I would like to be able to recover my bookmarks by posting them on the new Mac (pro), but... I can't find anywhere where I could enter my Firefox Sync key. I can "log out of my account" or "connect another device" but nothing else. When I log out of my account, I can log back in but only an account with an email (the only thing it asks me is an email).

Would you have an idea how I can get my bookmarks back? I had a hundred of them, very well organized, for professional purposes and I really need them. How can I keep my account (with my email) and add my bookmarks saved on my Key Sync ? (if needed, I can migrate all my actual account (profesional) on Google Chrome and start again on Firefox with my Key Sync but, I can't find how..)

I recently got a new computer and downloaded Firefox to it and proceeded to sign in to Firefox sync. A few months ago I changed my email (which I will refer to as email 1) to a new email (email 2).

When I try to sign in using email 2, I enter the password and it asks me to check my email for a code. I enter the code in and suddenly I'm back to the password screen, only this time it says "incorrect password" and shows email 1. No password I have in my books seems to work on either email 1 or email 2.

I don't want to lose my data, so I would rather not reset my password...

I have used Firefox for almost 20 years and have one or to bookmarks :) I set up the recovery key (right before) a clean install windows PC and new browser.

Now it has my user name and correct email but quantum is not listing my old bookmarks and history. Note I cant seem to find were i wrote down my recovery key -- So how do I

Find old BOOKMARKS IN NEW QUANTUM BROWSER AFTER LOSING MY RECOVERY KEY?

I would like to stay using mozilla but this is not acceptable to me as a user, and there are finally some pretty good browsers out there now!!!
