Please assist or advise why Firefox seems to be slowing down my system by memory usage. I have a handful (6) of tabs open on 1 browser session and my system started slowing down so I checked my task manager and it shows that I have more than a dozen of Firefox instances open chewing up almost 90% of my memory.

Please assist or advise me on how to tweak my browser to perform better, and not to show ghost instances

This morning I went to check my email on gmail, and google asked me to sign in again. Easy, I thought. I entered my account, and then google asked for my passkey. Until this morning this meant that on my mac it would ask me to place my finger on the right key on the keyboard. This morning it just froze firefox indefinitely. I then tried on Safari, and it worked as expected. I checked the version of firefox: it's 136.0.1. Obviously something changed (i.e. broke!) with the new version. Has anybody else experienced this? Any suggested fixes?

I'm receiving this when I log on to Huffington Post. Never had this happen before. What's going on?

I recently imported passwords and usernames for auto-fill from chrome and a few of the websites will not auto-fill my username. I have to manually type the username every time even though i can see they are saved in the Firefox browser.

Since the new "feature" profiles came out, I now always have this "originalprofile" in the browser (in the title bar) and in the Windows taskbar... It's really annoying.... Now my question is, how do I get rid of it again... on 3 more pictures, Firefox language is German...

I am having difficulty trying to view a website. I receive the following message whenever I try to view this website:

"Suspected Phishing This website has been reported for potential phishing.

Phishing is when a site attempts to steal sensitive information by falsely presenting as a safe source."

There are two buttons beneath this message, the one on the left which reads "Learn More," the one on the right which reads "Ignore & Proceed." Yet when I click on either of the buttons a blank white page appears.

The web address in the URL field also changes from the website I originally selected to the following:

Why would I not be able to view this website (and others too) with Firefox but am able with Chrome? I want to be able use Firefox, as Chrome will not allow use of an extension that Firefox will.

Please tell me how this problem may be fixed.

When using Google Meet in Firefox browser, I am only able to share my window, not my screen. When I choose "share screen", it says I must change my permissions - but my permissions settings have not changed and this is a problem I have started having only in the last few days.

I do not know where I am supposed to change these permissions settings.

I have checked my permissions in settings > privacy & security > permissions - there is nothing there about screen sharing.

I have checked my permissions in padlock > connection > more information > permissions and the only options I have for screen sharing are "always ask" (default), which is set. The only other option I have is "block" which is not set.

My Firefox browser is up-to-date.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

I can log-in to my e-mail account using FireFox "Private Browser" and all other browsers, but not from Firefox's normal browser. I receive a message form ATT/Yahoo that something is wrong with my internet of WiFi.

I have been struggling with this off and on for several months. But all of a sudden when I went to log-in the normal FF browser so I could send screen shots, I was able to log-in. Within the last hour I couldn't log-in and have did nothing but read community questions and answers. This happening out of the has destroyed my efficiency.

Any ideas?

Why does microsoft keep blocking Firefox when I want to go to a web page.....says "no access" I have an HP computer and it was built by Best Buy and I had to get outlook email when the computer was built. I have been with Mozilla Firefox since around 2006 I think. When I had my first little Mac. I think I donate too every month to Mozilla also. Microsoft edge haunts me. Why do I keep getting blocked from sites like Newmax? I have to use Opera to connect with it and a few other news sites as well. I can't even be on the site and go to a story then get blocked. I currently have started using Opera now but had so many years with Firefox guess it is over with. Are you working with Democrats to block conservative news site? Certainly feels like it and done with the hassle so glad for Opera!

Hi, firefox deleted my history after an update. The only browsing history i have left is yesterday and today since after the update. My bookmarks and the session i was in were still there.

I only have one profile. i dont have a index.dat file unter C:\Users\<myname>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles. Any data recovery tools cannot find one either. about:cache only shows me the history after the update.

I dont know what to do and now i've lost my history of the last about 8 years. Does anyone have an idea?

None of my saved passwords in my Mozilla account are showing up when I switch laptops and try to logon to various sites. Instead I have to manually enter the passwords for the sites every time even though the sites show that I have saved passwords for that site in my Mozilla account. When I type the password in a old or new site, Mozilla doesn't even ask if I want to save the password anymore.
