Hello, I'm using Firefox 147.0.4 on Windows 11. When I open the Adobe Firefly website and I try to upload a file to the Adobe server using drag and drop or by browsing the Windows file system, nothing happens ... There's no error message, but the file isn't uploaded. Of course, this site works perfectly with Opera or Edge... On the Adobe forums, many users have the same problem with Firefox, and Adobe's response is always the same: change browsers ! All of a sudden I Google search in Firefox isn't fully working. I only use Firefox but I tried the same thing in Edge and that works. I can search simple things in Firefox e.g. recipe for beef stew but when I ask for natural recipe for stain remover on clothes for example it just comes up with the word "thinking" and nothing else happens. I have NOT changed any settings. Thank you. Oriel

The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem.

I set the about:config settings when I got the new computer early last year. It's been working fine. Suddenly, searches are popping up again to the urlbar.

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar is still set to false. Keyword.enabled is still set to false.

I see a couple of site references to browser.fixup.alternate.enabled, but it doesn't exist.

How do I get FF back to proper search in the search bar?

I have vertical tabs turned on. Say i want to watch a movie, i press F11 or fullscreen to open it fullscreen. It makes the whole page fullscreen, but the vertical tabs remain still on the left. I want that fixed so that vertical tabs are hidden when its fullscreen.

I have a situation - which I had previously researched and resolved - that has come back to haunt me.

I use an ultra-widescreen monitor and searching/browsing obviously necessitates a center-screen search box which, up until now, Firefox has provided cleanly and with simplicity. However, I see that (once again) despite cursor placement in the center-screen box the search text is being entered in the address bar which is wholly impractical for me since I have to look about 60 degrees left and upwards to see what I am typing.

I say "again" because when this happened previously I was able to make a config change and resolve it but despite that still being in effect - the ".handoffToAwesomebar" is still set to FALSE - search text now has moved back to the address bar.

A brief search of this community yielded no answers. Is there any other known fix or has this now be thrust upon us permanently and thou shalt adapt?

Nor is keyword.enabled.

Cleared the cache etc. Odd time it works but goes back once restarted.

I have had so much trouble w/ FireFox VPN. At this point I'm convinced Google is paying the CEO and crash Mozilla straight into the ground. I paid for annual sub, then like something changed (they couldn't honor one of the services (email relay maybe?)) and then I had VPN for a bit and then all of a sudden it got cancelled. Now I have it turned on after they took a while to get back to me about asking why it was turned off (I guess at least they got back to me eventually), but when I go to check my account info about when my renewal is becuase I'm highly thinking about going over to DuckDuckGo and WaterFox, I click on "Paid subscriptions" options and get a refresh of the page w/ a "failed to load page, contact support" every single time. Then when I follow link to "contact support" I get a community forum option, It's giving BROKE!! I really have loved FireFox for so long but I'm thinking this might be the end. I even tried working for Mozilla, but decided not to due to the Five stage interview process, which clearly is not working out for them. Were they really able to screen the best of the best developers with that type of interview process? I digress...

Starting the month of February 2026, I cannot get into the following websites anymore to do my on-line shopping. Walmart.com and King Sooper grocery store (Kroeger). I get messages to try again later all the time. If I use another browser such as Edge or Chrome, I can get in no problem. Not sure what is going on??? I chatted with Customer Service Reps at both sites, they don't know why I cannot get in with Firefox, unless some of your security certificates have expired. Help!! - Stan
