I purchased Dell desktop computer, Windows 11, I installed Firefox, and I made Firefox the default browser via Firefox and the computer's settings.

I selected default dozens of times. Each time it stays the default for a while and then another web browser becomes default.

I then again select Firefox as the default web browser, both ways, and it stays that way for a long time or a short time. A few minutes ago, after the selection, the settings window for the app page flashed and Firefox was no longer the default browser.

I have Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge installed for the few times that Firefox does not work on a particular website.

What gives? Thank you

i do the following but still get the message java scripts do not work

Mozilla Firefox 45.x and above (PC):

   Please ensure that your copy of Firefox is up to date.
   Click the Firefox drop-down menu or, if using the Menu Bar, continue to Step 2.
   Expand the Help menu and then select About Firefox within it.
   Firefox should now automatically check for updates and prompt you to restart it when finished.
   Once Firefox restarts, JavaScript should be enabled.

My original email is no longer valid. Every time I attempt making a secondary email the system wants to send a code to the email that no longer works. How do I rectify this problem?

6/21/26 This morning I could not open my FireFox browser, unless i created a Profile. I was forced to use the Profiles Wizard to create a Profiles; when i finished all my Bookmarks had disappeared. Which was a great shock, had lots of Bookmarks in Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, & Other Bookmarks, I need to get those Bookmarks back !! >>More info: I had Hibernated my Dell 15 laptop overnight. This morning when I turned on the laptop, I got the above message that I had to create a Profile, which I did, which made all my bookmarks to DISAPPEAR !! I need them back!

I would like two lists widgets running - for example; a shopping list and a to do list. I would like to see both on the page. Is there a way to do this now, or will there be one in the future, please?

When I restart Firefox, it opens all of my bookmarks, each in a separate tab. It takes forever to close them all down one by one. then it happens again the next time I restart Firefox. I'm on a windows laptop.

I have a document that allows me to extend the page for supporting information. However when I move the up/down bar the original document moves but there is no way to move up/down the supporting page.

I wanted to use the new VPN feature and the icon initially showed up in the top right, but it has disappeared and is not present in "customise toolbar" or privacy settings either.
