I want to turn off the hover preview feature. First I went in settings, but that disabled only the thumbnail (browser.tabs.hoverPreview.showThumbnails in about:config is set to false and saved). Then I went in about:config and manually set browser.tabs.hoverPreview.enabled to false as well, that disables the unwanted feature completely.

But every time I restart the browser it's turned back to true (just hover.Preview.enabled, not hover.Preview.showThumbnails). Can I save my settings? It's annoying that I can't opt out.

I have gone to sites that already have my stored password. The saved password is not populating. I deleted the password. When I go back to the same site, it did not ask to save my password even though the option is selected is settings. This started after the recent update.

As I said in the title, the spellchecker add-on I use, LanguageTool, does not work on this site. I am not fine with that. What's the best way to get it working here? Any answers that amount to "you don't" are not acceptable.

Every time I shut down Windows and start it again, Firefox looses all custom configuration and does not navigate on any site. Other browsers do it: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge.

I have to go to Menu | Help | Technical Information and clear all of them AND I have to redo all my personalized configuration like: options, buttons, bars, tools and tabs, which I get from my backup (I use the extension: "Simple Tab Groups").

How to fix it? I use Firefox for decades and I have never had this issue.

How do I either stop videos from autoplaying or auto repeating? Either one would be a blessing but I've searched and cannot find an effective way to do it. Blocking in Firefox is not effective. Mostly it seems in facebook, but I believe it repeats all the time on all sites.

Try as hard as I may from all the Help screens, I cannt find a solution to how to permanently pin the Bookmark Toolbar to the side of the screen in my version of Firefox which is 129.0.2 in Windows 11. The option to pin the toolbar where the user wants it to appear seems to have vanished. Am I correct?

The only options I can find in Firefox now are Show Toolbar and it will only appear across the top of the screen (unless I Ctrl+B); Show in new tab or Hide.

Ctrl+B will bring up the tool bar, say to the left, but when Firefox is closed and re-opened there is the need to Ctrl+B again to redisplay the toolbar. My experience of Windows 10 was that everytime I opened Firefox my side bar for Bookmarks automatically appeared because I had always been able to pin it there.

Please help to restore the function, if it hasn't been removed through updates.

I was registering for a web page & up popped an old deleted email with password. The email was deleted in 2016. I would like that email & any sites I used it for to be deleted from my computer. Microsoft deleted the Hotmail in 2016 so of no use.

When going to the Settings tab, Firefox shows me the message "browser is managed by your organisation". However, I am not part of any organisation, since I am a private individual.

• What does this message mean?
• How can I remove this message and regain control over the Settings in MY Firefox?

Long ago I developed muscle memory to type in the main part of a website domain and complete it with Ctrl-Enter in the address bar.

That supposedly adds the www. prefix at the beginning and .com at the end.

Works great except that it seems to append "http:// to the beginning. That often results in a warning that I'm trying to go to an insecure domain.

How can I modify this behavior to append "httpS://" to the beginning to avoid all of these warnings?

I have about 30 user/password accounts logged when I use my Firefox account on Windows PCs but here on my new Apple Mac tablet, I do NOT see/get any of those accounts. Is there something I need to do to enable this to work?

How do I / Can I show my Safari "Favorites" on the homepage of Firefox? A simple, obvious question, but I have not found an answer in your files.

No answers to how to do this, even googling. The best I get is to click on the 3-vertical-dots icon next to the intended address's url field. No such icon exists, nor it to be found in "Customize Tools"

I recently explored the backgrounds on Firefox. I choose one of the, because they look really nice. But after I changed my Firefox Data Collection and Use settings the background disappeared.

Why do you have to keep "Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla" and "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" enabled?

Foxfire refuses to load roboform as my start page. It keeps referring me to install the roboform extension. I don't want the extension. I want to see my roboform when Foxfire opens. Is there a work around? https://start.roboform.com/

I realize Facebook doesn't have a spell check feature,but is there a way my browser, Firefox, which I already have spell check enabled can somehow spell check Facebook when I chat? Can someone help? Thank you.
