Hi, not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my logins and passwords simply will not synch between devices. I principally use a desktop Win10 machine, and an iOS version of Firefox. Have double-checked settings on both devices, tried forcing a manual sync from each to the other, all to no avail. Any ideas on what I need to do differently? TIA.

My work is trying to fire me because they say Firefox was mirroring my activity at home and vice versa. I.E If I opened a tab at home it when then open a tab and attempt to connect to same website on my work computer in the office.

I’m fairly certain it doesn’t cause that would be wildly unnecessary for what sync tabs is trying to accomplish but I used wireshark to watch for outgoing connections on my home desktop and opened a tab on my phone and my personal laptop and wireshark never detected outgoing connections to the tabs on other devices

Had to complete reset my PC after a bad hardware issue, everything completely wiped but I managed to get the older key4 and logins.json folders, unfortnately their encrypted... Is there anyway to sync them back up? So I can import all the passwords back onto my profile.

I use Sync on multiple computers for passwords. I have forgotten the Primary password on one of them. If I do a password reset on the one computer, does it affect the passwords stored on the Sync server, or maybe just the key4.db and logins.json folders on the computer being reset? I will not do a reset if the Sync'ed passwords could be affected, I'll just look them up on my phone. Thanks for your help!

Latest version of FF. Using Win11 on a modern desktop PC. This is the first time this ever happened; fortunately I keep an updated local copy of my bookmarks on my NAS. Just started happening today. Both my W11 and W10 machines suffer the same malady. So it appears to be a FF issue.

I restore my corrupted bookmarks from my NAS, but as soon as my PC syncs, they are all corrupted again. It's like one of my bookmark folders absorbs all the bookmarks from sync as one long mixed up list.

Anyone else having this issue? If so, is Mozilla aware of the issue?

Hi This is the 3rd time I am making this inquiry. I have firefox across multiple macbooks, ipads and iphones. The sync feature is unable to sync/save password across devices. If I save a PW on one device, even if I force all the devices Firefox to force sync, nothing shows up on the other devices. Please advise...

When you check the image, you can see two "HOME" entries. This is an issue I discovered after uninstalling and reinstalling the Firefox browser and using Sync.

HOME is my PC, and this image was screenshot on my laptop.

Additionally, the Sync for these HOME entries is not functioning properly. I tested this by opening several sites, and while Sync works well from my smartphone to my PC, it doesn't sync properly from my PC to my laptop.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I tried rebooting my PC, but it didn't work out.

Hi! I have a question about the syncing/history with FireFox. So for some context, I have two laptops, a personal laptop and a school/work laptop. I use the same FireFox account on both of them for convenience, however, I don't want the things from my personal laptop (ex. social media) to show up as recommended when I search for things in a tab on my work laptop. I already turned off the related sync settings, but I think since I synced my history before I turned them off, the websites from my main laptop are still showing up. My main question is- would I be able to clear my history on my work laptop without deleting the cookies/usage information from my main laptop (as I know this would log me out)? Or is my best bet to make a different FireFox account for my work laptop?

By manipulating I mean staying longer than I really intended in order to manipulate how long you seen that I have stayed on a page.

Sorry that I anyways acted in a foolish way by thinking that I'd manipulate it or whatever, regardless if I meant it or not.

I downloaded Firefox on my mac-book air Mac-book (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2016) with mac OS Monterey. It will not let me sign into sync my Mozilla account. it wont let me delete my account to reset the browser.

I have tried deleting the browser entirely 3 times.

I recently deleted accounts and passwords that were stored in Firefox under my web browser account. Is there anyway I can get that data restored? I have access to the same email/account in Firefox, but need to restore the deleted website account/credential data.

Whenever I try to login my fresh browser, Firefox says "Account Disconnected" as soon as I sign in and sync begins. I have tried refreshing Firefox, clearing cache etc, deleting Mozilla folders from local and roaming, but issue is still the same. Email hidden for privacy reasons

I use Mozilla on two things, my laptop and my android cell phone. The syncing on my cell phone appears to work perfectly well. However, when I am on my laptop, I am unable to view my "Tabs from Other Devices" - It will show me tabs from days ago. I've tried manually syncing on both devices but nothing happens.

The only thing that seems to work is if I log out of my Mozilla on my cell phone and log back in but then it will stop syncing again.

If something else isn't syncing, I honestly don't notice because I don't use anything else much.

I'm moving from an older laptop to a newer one. In the past, I used Sync to transfer bookmarks and other data from an older to a newer system. This time, however, Sync does not appear in the Settings pages. I found "Switching to a New Device" in the Help menu. It engages "Backup Assistant" to collect the data to be transferred (I assume). It first wants me to log in with my Mozilla account. If I enter my account identifier and click "Continue" I receive a "Waiting" graphic that never ends. If I pre-log in to my Mozilla account before engaging Back Assistant, it doesn't make a difference, it still waits forever.
