Hi Folks,

"Block pop-up windows" is enabled in Firefox, but I still get popups from www.smh.com.au Maybe you have time to investigate - a different type of popup needs blocking.

I have 4 different AMD machines in a wired, Windows 7 Home network. One is a print server and has 2 Canon inkjet Printers. All machines can print to both printers from all applications except Firefox (Latest version). 1 client machine can print to both printers from Firefox, another can print to one printer and the last cannot print from Firefox at all.

I have varied the defaults and refreshed and re-installed Firefox but there is no change. The Saved Settings for printing have been cleared.

There a large number of "Modified print settings" on the machine that can print from Firefox to both printers. This setting is absent in the other machines.

Is there a way in which I can get all the 3 client machines to print from the web on both printers?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Why does Firefox suddenly ignore the fact that I checked the 'always ask me' box regarding where to download files and puts them in the downloads folder? this very annoying.

Sorry for dumb queston, just Iam not a web-dev) My problem is next: I need change default code page (charset) for every document. Its only one charset for all pages, so it can be hardcoded. Due no one another charset web-server do not use.

 Can you pls say how it can be realized? Should it be done by changing some settings files, or maybe need some code changes ( for example at intl/locale etc) ?

I've been using Dashlane for a long while. It stopped working, so I deleted it to try to solve the problem. When I tried to re-install it, it won't work. I just keep getting an error about it being corrupted. I've restarted the computer, closed Firefox. It's the same. Dashlane tried to trouble shoot with me, but they have not solved it either. It worked on Google Chrome, but I cannot get it to work on Firefox. Firefox is my browser! I need help to get Dashlane installed and working on it.

I have tried with different commands lie ctrl+w,Ctrl+alt+F4 , like this everything is used to closed current tab or entire browser .I tried the other way right click on tab> close all tabs But i need a shortcuts to close all tabs except the current tab which were using. Could you please help me on this.Which will be more useful to me ..

I use FF all day, every day and recently it stopped automatically logging me into my account when I open the browser. I've read through the other posts on this topic and tried everything from creating a new profile to changing the History settings. Unfortunately, none of the solutions provided have worked. I know it's only one password to type in and then my profile is synced and it retrieves my bookmarks, saved logins, etc. but it's very annoying to have to do.

Does anyone else have any other potential solutions?

The last time I downloaded your update, I think it was in May, 2022, you apparently downloaded the version for Windows 10. It would not work with my windows 7. By the time I got it fixed I had lost ALL my bookmarks, history, etc. Now you are offering the latest download, I believe it is July. I am afraid to download it for fear I might lose all my bookmarks again. Can I just ignore the download. I DO NOT want to go to Windows 10 or 11. I am 95 years old and I like to stick to what I know. What is the situation with you and Windows 7 at this time? Are you no longer offering it? Thanks for your help. I have had Firefox since Firefox 1.0 (October 2004). In fact I still have the original instruction manual and the disk. I have a web application which runs perfectly on firefox versions below 103. Meanwhile, I had to change my laptop and I installed latest firefox version on my new laptop. I have a login page in my web application which isn't working in the latest firefox version. But, the application works perfectly even now in the older versions below 103. What might be the reason?

constant updates and changes and stuff that stops working and stuff nobody wants ? what are you guys doing besides trying to justify your job? how about leaving it alone and fixing some of the old bugs i cannot even search, the text string keeps going to the url entry position at the top do the mozilla programmers even use this lousy browser? i bet they use gogo duck !! time to go away

Some, but not all, videos on Twitter and tumblr don't function. On tumblr, the audio usually plays but the video is blank. On Twitter, the videos are always stuck loading. Thumbnails always load, there is no way for me to know if a video will work or not without trying to play it.

They work when I use a different browser, and Youtube is fully functional, so it can't be an issue with my laptop. The other person in the house who uses Firefox is able to play the same videos without issue.

I've searched for solutions and exhausted the possibilities in dozens of articles and support sites saying the same things over and over again. I'm at my wit's end.

I've tried: -disabling hardware acceleration -audio and video permissions -clearing cache and cookies -disabling enhanced tracking protection -switching off adblocker -running it in troubleshooting mode -refreshing Firefox

None of these did anything. Can anybody give me even a scrap of an idea as to what I can do?

I'm trying to sign into/sync Firefox on a new phone. It keeps saying I need to get code from authenticator app. I don't have one! I try to scan IR code from computer, but it still requires a code. Sometimes it says it is sending a code to my email address. It does not. I ask it to resend code but it never does. I am logged into Firefox on my computer, is there a way to turn off the authenticator or otherwise solve this problem?

My mother recently passed away and I've been using the web browser to check her mail. I decided that I wanted to stop her computer from sending and receiving the emails on her computer and deleted the account thinking that the files would still be there. But alas, they all disappeared even though I didn't click the delete files button. is there anyway to recover them? do I need to set up her account on this computer again for them to reappear. I really hope this is the case, as there was so much information that I needed in those files.

When Mozilla Firefox is installed from the installer, it (optionally?) installs the Mozilla Maintenance Service.

In Windows, the Apps & Features (old: Add/Remove Programs) list adds the Mozilla Maintenance Service in the list of programs it can uninstall. The version number entered here is the version number of the Mozilla Maintenance Service upon installation.

Other methods of updating Firefox may update this service (current release version: 102.0.1.8221) - however, the version number contained within the Windows Apps & Features (old: Add/Remove Programs) list is never updated, and will instead display the original installation's version number.

I'd like to recommend that this be fixed, so that the version displayed in Apps & Features (old: Add/Remove Programs) always displays the current version installed.

(One of those flaky "software updater" utilities pointed this one out to me. "You have an old version of the Mozilla Maintenance Service installed!" yes, if you go by the numbers offered by the Apps & Features list...

How can I disable the annoying function of automatic download of attachments every time I access one even though I used to be able to just open them or decide to download. Tired of deleting every blasted file into recycle when I don't want this. It doesn't matter if I select "ask where to download" box is checked.

Hi ! Who knows, if Firefox can be used as Browser within MS Outlook 2019 on a Windows 10 - System. Firefox is definded as Standard-Browser on my DeskTop and used since many years. After Upgrading of MS-Outlook 2007 to MS-Outlook 2019, the activation of Firefox to display a mail in "Browser Mode" is not possible. Struggled with MS-Support nearly an entire day at the end it was the conclusion, that only Internet Explorer IE will be supported - but you know, already abandoned since June 2022. Therefore I can't accept their statement and I'm in search of a official explanation, that Firfox is not excluded by MS within MS-Outlook. Using Firefox as Standard-Browser with disabled IE, MS-Edge & Chrome, the activation of Firefox during open a mail in browser-mode is leading to loop, in which Firefox is creating a lot of tabs in the background and Firefox-process can be stopped only by Task Manager, it's really a strange behaviour. Does anybody have had the same experience or is knowing about that is welcome to give me a hint ... Thank you in advance. Didi

Cannot get new norton password manager to work with new Firefox change " Website will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it" Firefox asks Norton PW manager to go to another webpage for a redirect and it just spins.

Please fix, I need to get in my Norton PW manager for passwords.

Hello,

yesterday i closed my firefox with 4 open windows. Altough firefox is set to open all tabs and windows at startup, only 3 of 4 reopened again. I can not find the fourth one in "recently closed windows" and nowhere else.

Are there options? For example scrolling through the "window-history" in the Sync-Account?
