Why is this a feature without the option to disable when none of the other browsers has this feature?

It's really annoying trying to close a tab only to open a new one again because you middle clicked on the empty portion of the tab bar.

Last year, timeout14 posted "How can I install a second bookmarks toolbar?". The chosen solution was:

"Hi, you will need to use userChrome.css for that. Info on how to use it etc., is here https://www.userchrome.org/what-is-userchrome-css.html"

This worked fine until I was stupid enough to update Firefox Quantum to 66.0.1 (64-bit) which, of course, screwed it up.

Does anyone have a fix or should I stop trusting Firefox updates (sic) and go back to the earlier version?

I've used userChrome.css since 57 I believe to have a two row bookmark toolbar. The .css files is currently:

Hello! I have problems creating my own CSS style. Most of the changes were applied by the browser through userChrome.css and userContent.css, but those elements that use common.css ignore it. What to do in my case?

Q1: Currently the dialog/editor for when you want to save a bookmark spawns under the '...' in the address bar, which is on my screen pretty far to the right side. especially because i prefer to save bookmarks with the menutoolbar>bookmarks menu (file edit view history bookmarks tools help) which is on the right side. (see image) i tried a little in userChrome with #editBMPanel_folderTree {} (which i found floating on the web) but i cannot get it to work. If thats impossible, is it then possible to move the '...' to the right side?

Q2: When the dialog/editor pops up and i leave it untouched and not hovering over it, it will automatically bookmark the page after 5-10~ seconds. how can i disable that?

Managed to get Tabs on Bottom in all previous updates (including FF65). Carried over ToB with FF66.0.2 update, but the whole line of tabs (including vertical separators) has shifted down about 1/3 of its height such that it bleeds into the immediate viewable screen. If the top of that viewable screen is black, for example, the tab titles are almost unreadable. Any advice? Appreciated.

My bookmarks side bar is too wide and I would like to make it narrower. I have tried a few userchrome.css things but none work correctly. It looks like there is a frame or something behind the sidebar so when it narrows the frame is still there anyway. I am trying to get a little more size to my main view panel BUT I also like to leave the bookmarks side bar displayed at all times.

How do I turn off the drop down address bar menu so that when I type an address and HIT ENTER it goes there instead of forcing me to mouse over to the green arrow and click.

I want to change the "+" color on the new tab icon

I was able to do this for the close tab "X' icon with the following css code in my userChrome.css file.

I think this code should work for the new tab icon, however I don't know the name of the new tab icon.

I have the same problems as the below link. Whenever I move the mouse to the top of tabs, I can't click and need to move down a little bit to click. I try to reinstall Firefox, but it still happens. I use two screens, and one of the screens can work.

Like in the description I can not save the changes I made in the about:config page no matter what I do, I already do an re installation also use the refresh button and delete the preferences file and still the issue remains.

Firefox 70 added a new tab button to my installation. I had been using CSS that got rid of it nicely up to this point. But now it is showing up and I cannot figure out how to make it go away. This is what I had and which worked:

Any ideas?

Firefox 70 has made the tab hight taller, and now they overlap the window frame on my computer (Win 7). How do I get them back to their size in Firefox 69 and stop them from eating into the frame? CSS is fine.

With the latest update, the following css tweak to disable the creation of new tab when middle clicking the empty tab bar area no longer works.

This along with the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+P to open a new private window are features no other browsers have.

With version 70 the flashing flickering url box in the bottom left corner has returned, even though the CSS that worked to kill it in earlier releases remains in mu userchrome.css file. The CSS that worked before is

and someone more recently used

but neither of these are working for me in Version 70. How do I get rid of this? Thanks.

Since updating to version Firefox update 70, the tabs at the top of the screen seem to be longer. This has covered the + button to add a new tab. I've tried resetting everything in customise firefox layout tool. I'm using the default theme, or dark theme, as provided with firefox. I tried each density option and they made no difference. If this isn't happening to everyone, is there something I can do to reset to even more default appearance in order to make the button visible properly? I know I can open new tabs by menu or hotkey combinations. My display choices include showing title bar, menu and bookmark bar. I have only Ublock Origin, Foxy Proxy standard and zoom image add ons.

Suddenly my search bar lists only 7 (was 6) of about 20 search engines. The command "Change Search Settings" appeared on the same line as the 6th listed engine so that clicking on it summoned that search engine. Now "Add Mozilla Support" appears on that line and the other command appears on the same line as the 7th engine.

After updating to Firefox 70.0 (64-bit), the search suggestions text size in the "search bar" became smaller (refer to included image). Is there any way to make the text larger? Thanks for reading!
