I updated Firefox to version 138 yesterday(29rd April). I use latest stable version of Linux Ubuntu. Sites itself will work, but top of browser wont. Can click open new tab from +-button, but can't close it.

Browser stops reacting to mouse clicks when browsing (after hours of browsing) and I have to use right-click to navigate on sites.... until I restart browser. I tried to close tab and refresh tab when these problems occurred. Also, this occurs on all sites.

I think this is clearly browser problem(because clicked areas are on browser, not inside tabs), not problem in sites itself, because problem manifested itself after hours of browsing, not immediately.

Edit: I'm not well-versed enough to write Bugzilla-report. Also in 138.0.1-1 version, where I updated 3rd May 2025.

When attempting to pay for online purchases the new firefox upgrade (Mac 133.0.3) will not redirect from the merchant to the payment site. Yesterday, before the upgrade, was no problem making credit card purchases online; now, nothing. Please advise on how to set up new firefox version to allow redirect to payment websites from merchant sites.

I have used Firefox for long time on both Mac and Windows.

Recently, I have been experiencing the phenomenon described above, i.e., when entering Japanese text into iCloud Memo on Firefox, it appears as a double character. I'm sorry but I haven't taken screen shot.

This is the same on both Mac and Windows. It does not depend on the Japanese input method (IME). Refresh and reinstallation did not resolve the issue. Finally, I reverted to the previous version and the phenomenon was resolved.

From the above, we assume that the problem is caused by some kind of recovery in the latest version.

I have an issues sign in when I attempt to open my bookmarked tab (YouTube). When I google "YouTube" I get a youtube page however, it displays that I am not signed in. Over the last 6 months, and increasing number of websites don't open on Firefox. I've noticed it most consistently on any of the wikipedia/wikimedia pages, but it's not just those. When I type in an address and press return, or click on a link, the browser just acts as if nothing has happened. There does not show me the loading symbole. If I ask it to open a new tab with the site, the address appears on the tab, but the page itself is just black. Other browsers have no problem loading the same sites. I am on a mac, and using a VPN. Restarting the browser doesn't help, though restarting the computer sometimes does.

Hi, browser movie streaming on Amazon.com Prime posts an error over every movie as of last night that states it can't play HD content due to wrong OS or Browser not being up to date. Then it defaults to SD bit rates.

I'm not the only one with the error on Amazon's forum.

The "error" which is more like a warning, appears as a bubble in the lower right corner of the streaming content (movies specifically).

Checking my router logs shows that all is well in the badlands, no warnings, no dropped packets. And as I said, streaming movies in HD was just working last week and no other website I visit is affected.

I use DRM content on this PC everyday. I don't have issues with any other streaming platform or websites. I have cleared cookies and stored data I have rebooted my system a ridiculous amount of times. I have not reset Firefox but I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, and imported all of my synced info.

HARDWARE SPECS: Windows 11 pro PC AMD Thread ripper 2920. Gigabyte Designare X399 board. 64 GB of I think patriot ram. A single m.2 Pcie as my C drive. AMD 6900XT graphics card with latest drivers. 1000 watt corsair rm 1000i - stable power. All windows drivers are latest and stable. I don't have any warnings in my system devices. I have the security feature for TPS 2.0 enabled in bios or I wouldn't be able to boot Windows 11 pro. My system is not overclocked. I can ping everyone and everything I choose to. I use Quad 9 as my https DNS. I DON"T dual boot my hardware. I don't use a virtual machine to run windoze.

Obviously it is Amazon services refusing to stream in HD over a browser interface. But why suddenly? This sure appears to be some kind of dark social engineering scheme to see how many are affected and how much they can get away with. I use FF on desktop. Recently, I've run into a problem. My desktop browser will not load any pages... except Youtube. Youtube loads just fine, I can open a video or browse channels or community pages normally. I have fully reset my browser, reinstalled it, and disabled extensions. Other browsers on my PC will work normally. I have very few extensions: Sponsorblock for Youtube, uBlock Origin, and Facebook Container, that's it. I am not using a proxy or VPN. Troubleshoot mode did not fix the issue. I'm not the most tech savvy, so I apologize if I missed anything here.

For some time now I have not been able to access any website secured with Captcha verification. My browser doesn't recognize that I'm a human and keeps going back to square one. Importantly: this problem does not occur in other browsers. However, I would prefer to stay with Mozilla, so it will be nice if something can be done with it. I didn't change any settings, I didn't change hardware, I didn't reinstall Mozilla, so that's not the problem. I've looked through my security settings and don't see anything that would help in this case. Especially since these are websites that I had previously accessed and logged in without any problems.
