Now it was fine for a while, but now it's so bad that I'm having trouble watching YT videos properly. Reason: Browser open, logged in to YT. If I wait for this - without doing anything myself, it sometimes takes 30 - 40 seconds for the video to start ... sometimes it just "hangs" ... This is extremely annoying - if it doesn't work, I have to switch browsers... What is also extremely annoying is that it occurs almost regularly after an update ... until the next one possibly, for unknown reasons, does not fix the error, but sometimes mitigates it. I am looking for a way to adjust the settings, or really anything else, in a way that would result in the site being displayed like it should be because it is a rather integral part of the game and I really don't know where else to look anymore. Now, I suspect that it's because I switched to Ubuntu because I've never had this issue with Firefox while I still used Windows, but I really hope there's a way to resolve this. That being said, it seems to be specific to Firefox for Ubuntu because the colors show up in the menu when I use Opera on the same OS.

The four images I've added should show what I'm talking about (I really don't have a way to phrase this any better, sorry) and I really want Firefox to display the drop down menu like it is supposed to look: the colors themselves underneath the text. (it looks like Firefox on mobile now if that is any help in figuring out where to start, but I don't see why it would fail to show the site correctly on desktop)

Edit: It occurs to me that I probably should list what I've tried already. - disabled enhanced tracking protection - checked my settings (colors are not overwritten) - tried it with a new profile - disabled all extensions - reinstalled Firefox

In "about:policies" I have DisableFirefoxAccounts=TRUE. 5. in "about:config" identity.fxaccounts.enabled=false and grayed out.

Please help me to turn on the sync of bookmarks. All these listed issues obviously have something to do with it.

I don't seem able to install Firefox on a Windows tablet (at least I think it's a tablet, it's an Asus Transformer Book, with a tablet screen and a detachable keyboard, anyway). Does anyone have any ideas why, please?

I should warn anyone before they read on that I am in no way techie, so helping me may be frustrating at times as I need advice/instructions etc spelled out really simply, as anything too technical is beyond me, I'm afraid.

So, anyone brave and/or patient enough to read on... I've bought the tablet secondhand, 'wiped' etc. It's an Asus T100HAN Processor: Intel(R) Atom(TM) x5-Z8500 CPU@ 1.44GHz 1.44GHz Installed memory: 2.00GB System type: 64-bit Operating System, 64-based processor Pen and touch: Full Windows Touch Support with 10 Touch Points

It's currently running Windows 10 Home, but I'm hoping to install Linux Mint on it, although it's only since I bought it that it's occurred to me that putting Linux on it might not be as straightforward as I thought, (ie I'm typing this on a laptop that came with Windows but on which I installed Linux Mint. "If Linux runs on this, it must run on anything that can handle Windows," I thought to myself before buying the tablet. But now I've realised that, eg, this laptop doesn't have a touchscreen, not does the screen have to rotate, which is the main reason for buying the tablet.)

That's sort of a digression, but might not be, as it explains why my priority right now is installing Firefox on the machine - so that even if it turns out I can't install Linux on it, at least I'll have Firefox rather than Edge or whatever.

So, in the Edge that came already on the machine, I accessed the official Mozilla page (despite getting several scary warnings from Edge about there being a problem with "this website's" security certificate, oh, and something about "Windows SmartScreen can't be reached at the moment") and downloaded Firefox. I went for the desktop version because that seemed more relevant than the Android or iOS versions. Then I've told it to "Run". The installer thing has come up and the little colour wave thing has happened with the icon in the taskbar (or whatever it's called). And then, after several minutes, I've got a message from Firefox Installer: "Hmm. For some reason, we could not install Firefox. Choose OK to start again." So I've clicked on OK, and the same thing has happened. Several times. And I've downloaded Firefox umpteen times as well, just in case there'd been an issue with that first download, only the same thing has happened, over and over again.

From the "about" thing, it looks like the 30GB or so of storage on the tablet, but about 10GB(!!!) is taken up by "system files to help Windows run properly. Your PC won't work without them."

Can anyone explain, please, what's going on, and what (if anything) I can do to get the wretched thing to allow me to install Firefox? I could just about cope if I can't get Linux, but no Firefox??? No, no no!

Hi, I have noticed that for the last three weeks, i have been unable to access Whatsapp web using the Firefox, is there a problem? While using other browsers, the whatsapp web is accessible. Please rectify that coz firefox is my default browser. Thank you.

Firefox is no longer saving all my history. OR, I can't find it. I can't find it because: HISTORY/SHOW ALL HISTORY is now only showing "today". This occurred with v133, but I do not know if it occurred with any given update. I updated to 134.0.1. That did not fix problem. I have not tried regressing.

In the past, I was able to save YEARS of history (although I sometimes created a new profile to restart the history file due to its size).

1. I was using the "DYNAMIC HISTORY" addon, which worked fine for years. When I found Firefox was showing only the current days' history, I disabled that addon. Didn't fix anything.

2. "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" option IS NOT SELECTED. NEVER HAS BEEN

3. OTHER SETTINGS: no - Always use private browsing mode yes - Remember browsing and download history yes - Remember search and form history NO - Clear history when Firefox closes

any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. I am also baffled: googling this problem comes up empty handed.

Hello! from this morning and alongside a new Firefox update i've been having graphical artifacts on Youtube/Facebook/Netflix. I've followed all the standard steps.

Disabled Hardware Acceleration. Updated Video Drives. Run FF in Safe Mode without plugins. Disabled Router level VPN and Ghostery.

Any ideas?

I'm running FF135.0 Geforce 572.16 Drives (30th Jan) 3070TI. Windows 10 Pro 22H2.

I've imported bookmarks and passwords and stuff, and since refreshed firefox but can't find a way to fully restore it to initial settings, even uninstall and reinstall won't do it

I have been trying to login to godaddy.com for several days but when I click on sign in the login page comes up blank except for the bottom where it links to their privacy information. I have tried everything I can think of and if anyone can help me I would be eternally grateful.

Every so often for the past few days this "unfinished" program window has appeared on my pc on top of a normal Firefox window (see attached png). Does this have something to do with Firefox? I think the same thing appears when I first open Firefox, then it gets "filled in" and appears as a normal Firefox window. I use the Zen browser and I can't use ctrl+shift+c to view the element, I deleted the shortcut specified in the settings for copying the page URL so that the inspector would work, but it doesn't work, although the correct shortcut is indicated when hovering, but it doesn't work

Hello. This question concerns the Windows 11 desktop version of Firefox.

I have long used the Home and End keys on my extended keyboard to scroll to the very top of any given page in Firefox (Home) or to the very bottom of that page (End).

But, lately, I notice that, for no reason I can figure out, Firefox no longer responds to those shortcuts. Now, when I tap Home or End, the page may, at first, scroll up or down slightly but not to the top or bottom. If I press Home or End again, nothing happens at all.

Sometimes, if I press Ctrl + Home simultaneously or Ctrl + End the page will scroll to the top or bottom respectively.

Why has Firefox's behavior apparently changed? Is there an issue with my keyboard or operating system settings? (I use a Logitech G915 keyboard.)

Please let me know how to restore Firefox's shortcut functionality, where I can tap just Home to scroll to the top of a page or only End to scroll to the bottom of a page.
