I just solved my problem. I edited my home page address in the Firefox address bar and re-saved my homepage with: Use current pages in Options. Thanks anyway.

I've recently been having issues where Roll20 (an online tabletop game app) is very slow and laggy. It works absolutely perfectly in Chrome, which I don't use at all other than for trying this out. So, to troubleshoot this, I did the "refresh firefox" option which ported over my previous saved passwords and bookmarks. It still ran poorly. After that, I tried CTRL+SHIFT+DEL to delete just about everything there. Still no dice, and now Firefox encounters random issues such as seemingly random freezing/hanging, or having high CPU usage/1mil K 'memory' in Task Manager, when only having like 3-4 tabs open and listening to music on YouTube in one of them. I'm unsure what the problem is, exactly. I don't think it should be hardware-related as it only started occurring after doing troubleshooting in FF. One thing that raises a flag for me is Malwarebytes AdwCleaner advises my Firefox prefs.js is a threat. Could this be related?

I have a website I developed which uses Quicktime .mov movies and that is local on my MacBook Air. I have been using Firefox without problems in the past; however, version 52.0.2 will not display the movie. The web page opens, but it's totally blank. I'd appreciate any suggestions for how to solve this problem.
I have removed it from my home page but every time I open a new tab, it opens up again.

For the past several days, sometimes a tab will have a number in parentheses at the beginning of it's name. Usually it is "(1)", but right now I have one that is "(4)". What does this number mean, and why does it do this. And is there any way for me to make it stop? Right now it is only doing it to pages at YouTube, but I believe it has done it to others, and it doesn't do it to every YouTube page. Reloading the page often makes the number go away.
