Thanks for your reply, this is your answer but I don't have this next in my option tab, I have attached a picture. There is no way for me to save my options, just to close it by using the x at the top of the option tab.

I recently upgraded to a new PC and I'm running version 43.0.4 and since upgrading have had a lot of issues with the firefox's gui kinda crashing on me. I say kinda because it's still there and functional (if I can guess where to click) but objects including the any webpage content, tabs, url bar, bookmarks, etc will start to go nuts. I've attached a picture of the most recent incident. As it happens this is the cleanest occurence because everuthing has gone blank where as usually it will start to act out by button (eg. bookmarks) dissapearing as I hover over them. The are two things that seem to be related to these symptoms. 1) everytime it has happened I have had around 10 or slightly more tabs open. 2) firefox hasn't been closed fully since before atleast one instance of putting the PC to sleep rather than shutting down.

iv always use ff but a couple days ago all at once i have problem on weather underground seeing nexrad radar and 10 day forcast. where they usually come up its a white space with a multi colored circle just spinning. if i click on my city the page opens with current conditions but the radar or forcast wont show anything but that colored circle spinning. it works if i use ie but i would rather use it. thanks

I need to install silverlite in order to use the ATI testing system on my computer. ATI testing is provided by the university where I work and I need silverlite on my computer to open it completely. When I click the install icon for silverlite, it asks me if I want to download the file. I have downloaded the file at least 20 times and nothing else happens. Help please.

This worked last year. I have VB8, VB 2015. VB 2015 works. I can compile programs and it works properly. All of a sudden, I can't compile with VB 8. I end up in Firefox. I even made Internet Explorer the default browser, just in case MS did something sneaky. But Firefox jumps up there with no website visible. I don't want to uninstall Firefox. Can somebody point in the correct direction?

I have since a few months. I made a lot of updates since this time. All drivers Software are actually. I tried to deactivate all apps. I made a new firefox installation. I tried a new profile. Everytime firefox chrashed again. Last chrash-id : bp-ef94a9f6-7329-403d-ad90-852e62160113

I'm on FireFox version 43.0.4 on MacBook running OS10.11.2. Any text like in the URL line displays with dark gray highlighting making it difficult to read. How can I change the color of the highlighting please? drum@hawaii.rr.com

The crashes that I have been experiencing of late have only started occurring since the latest update to FF, prior to that I have had no issues in spite of the heavy strain I put on the browser.

I have carried out a refresh which did not make any difference and I have also restarted in Safe Mode which also made no difference, following both steps I left the browser running and did not use it for any browsing activity barring visiting the health report and the troubleshooting guide which once read I would leave the browser alone completely to just sit in the background so it would appear that it is crashing completely of it's own accord.

will not open pfpdocs.com fidelity.com when I try to send report to Firefox I can fill out the form but when I hit Submit nothing happens some web sites work with Firefox and others do not

Searching on google - the results display but the window is blue/grey and does not respond. There is no problem searching Bing. Is this blocked by google as there are no issues on Chrome? Using updated Windows 10 and Firefox 43.0.

So after I chose to refresh firefox all went well. But then windows did an update and I restarted my computer. When I clicked to open firefox again, a dialog box popped up asking if I want to start it using one of two users. Default or Default-xxxxxxxxxx. I chose Default. However this is an older account and has none of my newer bookmarks or email setting or anything like that. Is there a way to set it so that I am using the Default-xxxxxxxx user instead?

Since the last upgrade Firefox opens tabs in the background instead of the foreground. I want to change it back, both when clicking links in Web pages with the target set to open a new window, and when opening Firefox via another program that wants to open a link in a browser. How do I set it to only open tabs in the foreground again?

Running Firefox 43.0.4 on a Mac

Starting with Firefox 41 or 42 the sign in page for Yahoo.com started appearing in a very large font and takes up more than the entire screen. I've tried changing various options, and fonts, but to no avail. I've deleted Firefox and did a fresh install. I've also tried "safe mode." Although I have not tried using the "refresh Firefox" option.

Since it only happens with Firefox and only with the Yahoo sign in page and the Yahoo account info page the assumption would be that it is a Yahoo problem and not Firefox.

I am hoping, though, that someone will know what is causing this problem and know how to fix it.

I've been troubleshooting for issues of Firefox hanging. It is primarily with one location, full of media content: http://www.theguardian.com/au

First, I closed some windows with many tabs, which didn't help. I followed instructions for increasing speed by changing settings for pipelining, which did not seem to help. I started to, but did not, change places settings. Also looked at suggestions re shockwave, but do not think I followed any.

Then I downloaded YesScript. This has solved the loading/hanging problem. But it has also made viewing comments in their normal presentation impossible. Even when I turn YS off, the comments do not load in a useful way.

Since it now appears that my primary problem is due to javascript, is there any other way I can rectify the problem? Thanks.

So this has been bugging me for weeks.

I keep having Firefox crash on me every single day, usually in the morning everything runs smooth and there's no problem, at night if I have a full screen YouTube video with just the Reddit homepage in another tab, it crashes constantly, sometimes I can't get further than 5 minutes watching without it crashing.

It's worth noting I'm having constant 'display driver has crashed' errors as well when gaming but for the most part I THINK they're unrelated to why Firefox is crashing, I'm not 100% certain. Aside from that I haven't had any slowness or bugs, but I have had the odd graphical glitch in my browser where it comes up in black blocks but it doesn't happen often.

I've refreshed my browser and the whole delete-reinstall phase, no dice. Even tried disabling all my addons, nothing.

I visited YouTube as recently as a few days ago and everything was fine. However, when I go there today, I get a mangled website that looks like none of the code is working properly, with plain HTML links. There's some sort of loading icon at the top, I'm not sure what it is. The navigation icons are HUGE and take up the whole screen. The videos play, but none of the video controls such as pause or volume or anything appear on the video itself so you can't control it. Nothing looks functional anymore. It's just an utter mess.

In addition, YouTube videos linked on other sites don't work anymore either, it's just a black box. These were functional just last week! (The site this is happening on DOES have Flash enabled, so this makes no sense.)

I haven't made any recent changes to Firefox, and I'm not aware if it's updated itself or not. Closing and reopening the browser didn't do anything. I have AdBlock Plus installed but that didn't interfere with the site before. I have it set to ask me when to run Flash (I can't recall where I found that setting though, where is it?), but again, that hadn't given me problems before now.

I have no clue what could be causing this. Should I be worried?--and how do I get YouTube working properly again?

This is what youtube looks like, I recently downloaded drivers for my graphics card but that was yesterday and last night youtube was working just fine, today it looks like what you can see in the image, what on earth is going on?
