I cannot make a desktop shortcut of my yahoo email without it opening in INTERNET EXPLORER. The connection is much better in Mozilla and I want to use this. i HAVE REMOVED ALL OBVIOUS SHORTCUTS FROM IE. i DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. Please Help?

We are a company with Firefox 24 deployed to more than 2000 PCs. We have an Intranet app made with Silverlight working ok with this Firefox version. But now we want to update to Firefox 33 and testing it we've found that it doesn't work with the Silverlight app with big monitors. It seems to be related to the resolution of the monitor, or at least, to the size of the Firefox window. The problem is that the mouse pointer doesn't seem to be pointing where it is. We tried different versions of Silverlight, currently 5.1.30514.0 I don't know in which Firefox version it started to appear this bug. With Internet Explorer it works.

Any idea?

Until the most recent update the dropdown listing of available sites in the search box was easily legible and simple to use. Being able to target one's searches so readily and conveniently was one of Firefox's most attractive features.

Now I'm confronted with a panel of mostly indecipherable and in many cases confusingly similar icons. I hate it and want my simple verbal listing back!

Yes, mousing over the icons and hovering will reveal what they represent. But having to do this every time makes what was a quick, convenient routine irritatingly slow and clunky.

Please at least let us choose whether to have icons or a simple listing. Please...

I updated to FF33 and then beta 34. I use my tile page as my homepage. In both versions of FF, I cannot search in the address bar from the tile page nor can I input a URL and have it take me to that website. Any help available? I've looked high and low and found nothing to assist so far.

I've been getting this issue with outlook.com or mail.live.com when I try to access my email through FireFox.

Below is the full error: This Connection is Untrusted You have asked Firefox to connect securely to dub120.mail.live.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

dub120.mail.live.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

I've been trying to access this site for a while using FireFox but I have had no luck. I've searched the forums and support sites for information on how to fix and none have managed to fix it so far.

Things I've tried: Date and time are correct. ESET virus is not running SSL checks and have disabled fully. Ran virus scan on PC and found no results. Updated FireFox and tried the Beta 34. Normally use FireFox in private mode and cleared cache. Tried FireFox in safe mode. Deleted and renamed cert8.db

Pretty much everything you could possibly suggest and FireFox refuses to grant me access to this website.

I've logged in to my email through Internet Explorer while ESET is active and I have no problem connecting. I believe this is an issue with FireFox. I cannot recall when this error started to appear but it is probably recent in the past month or so.

Please can this issue be addressed by Mozilla as there seems to be quite a few people having this problem. It does not seem to be third party causing the issue as FireFox is the only program having trouble connecting.

My bank has just advised that after Jan. 8, 2015 my browser has to use TLS 1.0 as its encryption method. I can't for the life of me find out what encryption method Firefox uses.

I have Silverlight installed, the latest version, installed Click to Play and it reports Silverlight plugin is NULL, so it will not run. Do I need to go back to an older version?

Since FF 34 I am suddenly unable to choose General from the Preferences Options. At first it was Advanced I was unable to get. It was just a blank page for that. Now I can get that OK but I can't get General. It remains on the previous option I had and won't switch to General. I have tried several restarts to no avail. I can get all the other options now except for General.

This may have begun in a previous version of FF. I don't know as I rarely go into Preferences. I have just found out about this problem straight after I installed FF34. I then installed FF 34.0.5 thinking that might have fixed the problem but it did not.

Does anybody know what has caused this problem or how it can be fixed?

I ran Spybot and Adaware. I cleaned my computer and it seems to be working better. I installed Adblock and I am not getting ads which is really nice. I noticed that my bookmarks on my desktop will not work now. Also, if I try to drag the block or circle to the desktop, it will not work. I have reset Firefox, started in safe mode without AdBlock. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch.

Since upgrading to Firefox 34 then 34.05 some sites, the ones I use the most, are loading as a list. These are large sites and load perfectly fine in IE. This is causing me endless problems and making me think that these upgrades are just an ego exercise for the developers.

To build a Theme I was gone through https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Building_a_Theme where it mention that copy browser and communicator from chrome/browser/skin/classic from omni.ja . but I could find these files in omni.ja under C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox . So what to do for browser and communicator files ?

Is there a way to restore the search bar from version 33? I like seeing which search engine I have selected and the ability to change it with a drop down list BEFORE I highlight text, right-click, and select ' Search Google for "xxxx" '

Any way to roll back this latest "improvement"?

I am from Ukraine. Firefox is the number one browser for me. I accustomed to Google search in address bar and now I have to use Russian Yandex. I do not want to use Russian search engine. I know that there is search tools but I like to use address bar. How I can put Google back? Thank you

Where did smart keywords go in v34? I mean being able to assign keywords to do a particular search from the address bar. For example I have "i" set to search Bing Images, "imdb" set to search IMDB, etc. I had various search engines set up, was able to edit their keywords and reorder them in the list, and could add additional search engines at Mycroft Project. I liked the way that worked.

Now my smart keywords still work, but I see no way to edit them or add new ones from Mycroft. I can't even look up what my keywords are when I periodically forget them.

Is there some way for me to still control my smart keywords (and ideally continue to use Mycroft search engines)? I'm aware of the "Change Search Settings" options, but they don't seem to have much of the power I used to have.

After updating firefox there is now a second search bar that pops up below the regular search toolbar every time I start typing in it. It tells me that I am searching with google (thanks, I wondered!) and duplicates the search input field exactly as it is shown in the toolbar, and gives me the opportunity to change my search settings (which I do not want to do unless there is a setting that will make this box go away). WTF is the point? I hate it and it's stupid constant popping up and down. I have suggestions turned off and it still pops up. I have only had the new version installed for ~10 minutes and it is already making me want to never use the search toolbar again.
