As long as I have an incognito window open, Firefox will reopen old tabs everytime I open a new "regular" window, even if "Open previous windows and tabs" is unchecked.

Firefox used to open the bookmarks to the left showing all the bookmarks, ever since that last update not the go right and aren't even the bookmarks I want, how do I change it back

Just today a web based TV show has stopped playing, the circle spins for a moment (as if it was loading) the circle then just vanishes and nothing plays.

I am running Win 11, I have successfully had the video play in Edge and Brave.

Firefox however is being stubborn and refuses to play

Hello Before I reset my PC some months ago, I almost never had to Login to sites, as the kept me logged in. This no longer happens, and now I frequently have to Login to eg. my Google account which needs third party autho and all sorts. It is rather annoying having to Login to Google every time I close the Window.

I do not have this setting on: "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" I do have this setting on: "Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites"

It does save my Password and autofill, which makes it easier. But it is still annoying, that I have to login to everything every time.

I have tried reinstalling Firefox, to no avail.

Please Help

When I open Firefox on my new computer all the bookmarks are showing at the top. I only want my default bookmark toolbar to show. The only solution I could find was to drag it into the toolbar area.

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard

How to save images to the downloads directory (that I chose in settings) without using right click -> save image as .. -> popup window .. then choose the location where I want to save it.

I tried alt+click, it didn't work, it saves the webpage url instead of the image. I prefer a solution that does not involve any add-ons.

I am having a significant issue with firefox draining my battery. I used chrome up until the new year and then switched over to firefox from chrome. Overall I love firefox so much more. The format is way more pleasing. I love how it easily signs me back into everything, BUT IT DRAINS MY COMPUTER SO MUCH. Like i used to have an 8hour + battery span my laptop neverrr died. Now I get through MAX 2 hours of full use before needing to charge, and maybe 4 hours just having it at school but not using it.

I thought my dell suddenly started crashing, ran all these tests, and then I realized the only change was that I had started using Firefox... So sad I think I am going to have to leave it.

I read a lot of articles and did everything suggested. my graphics is webreader , i turned on all the suggested features, i have 2 extensions , the only thing I could maybe think of was that I use an animated theme so maybe that was killing the battery, but like if I can't use my theme than whats the point.

When you add a page to your bookmarks a window appears that asks for a name and which folder you want to save it on. By default it recommends you a folder but there is a button to "un-hide" your full folders list. Is there a way to make this the default? As in, i dont have to click "un-hide" everytime (...because firefox never picks the folder i want)

A private browser closed on its own. A new private browser launch and the toolbar bookmark area is empty. A regular browser launched and still the toolbar bookmark area is empty. The bookmarks are not erased, they just are no longer present in the toolbar bookmark area.

Smaller adblocker ultimate advertising icon appears on most screens. It's annoying and typically in the way. I tried adblocker once but disabled it months ago and removed it today. The ad for adblocker ultimate still appears in the lower corner of most pages. The icon and the Expanded flag is (opened) are both attached below.

I frequently manage cookies in Settings. In the Privacy and Security page of Settings, I click on the Manage Data button to delete unwanted cookies. It works, no problems.

My issue is that, when I re-size the window that lists current cookies, that window size does not hold. The next time I access Manage Data the window is back to its original, small size.

Up until v121, the window has retained the size it was previously.

I have the same problem on my laptop using Firefox v115x. It used to keep the same size window, but a few months ago stopped that behavior and always starts with the small-sized window.

It is not the worst problem to have, but I keep track of multiple cookies on a regular basis. Leaving the window the same (larger) size would be nice.

It also would be nice for that window to retain the view last used. I usually check cookies that were most recently used, but the window has always defaulted to the largest cache size for cookies.

These are minor niggles, but it would be nice if they could be addressed one day.

Attached is a screenshot of my extensions. These did not seem to interfere with Firefox functions before.

I imported my bookmarks, but they're not displaying in the bookmarks toolbar. I've tried hiding it and unhiding and restarting the program/my computer. The imported bookmarks can be seen when I go to "recent bookmarks" in the manage your bookmarks section. It also says that they're listed in the bookmarks menu, but they're not visible outside of the manage bookmarks settings window.

basically just the title. In the last couple days youtube.com specifically has been borderline unusable for me on firefox. All other websites work fine for me on firesfox and youtube has no issues on other browsers.

I used to be able to access my Wells Fargo account using Firefox (as recently as last Thursday Jan 11,2024). Now when I try to access the account, Wells Fargo no longer recognizes my sign-in information. The Wells Fargo internet customer service person I spoke to said I was the second customer within the last few days with a similar problem with Firefox. Both Chrome and Edge are not having similar problems. I have the latest version of Firefox, so possibly Wells Fargo changed something. I do not want to use Chrome or Edge because of the hundreds of trackers they allow. Does anybody have any ideas? How does Firefox check on the compatibility of Firefox with websites? Thank you. Hi I am the admin site owner of the above site on th site we have a widget that lets us monitor who is in our teamspeak server from the home page this was working great until I and other members updated to firefox 121.0.1. 2 days ago, now we get this message in the widget frame insted.

Firefox Can’t Open This Page To protect your security, server.nitrado.net will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window.

I contacted Nitrado support after reading this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/xframe-neterror-page They say they have fixed the issue but it still present after reinstalling the widget, clearing cache (server and firefox app) and server restart, this is effecting all our uses who use firefox, which is all of them :( can anyone help?

in chrome when you drag a tab out to open it in another window it automatically goes to a smaller window, firefox always copys what size the window was when you dragged it out. so when the window is maximised it will always open a new maximised window.

So my question is, when dragging a tab to open it in a new window is there a way to stop it from copying the size of the window you dragged it?

Every time I open FF it tries to download a file I previously downloaded. Even if I do it again, it won't stop it. How do I delete this queued action?

Nope, that didn't work. I keeps putting it back into the tasks.

After the latest Firefox update (121.0.1) , I have been unable to use Firefox to log into iCloud or my Merrill Lynch account. I have to use Chrome instead. Other website log-ins seem to be ok.
