Youtube, and only youtube, will not play audio. Netflix works, Hulu works, steam games works. But no audio on youtube. it's not my computer's audio settings, Youtube works fine on edge. I love firefox, it is my default browser, but, you know, what the fuc*! why won't youtube work?! I know it's not your fault but, you know, I call bologna! Attached is a screenshot of a video on youtube. Usually I can hear sounds but not now.

Hi, I've upgraded to Windows 11 today and couldn't open Firefox since. Things I've already tried:

• Reinstall Firefox and delete all old files (Appdata & Program files)
• sfc /scannow and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
• Windows compatibilty mode
• Firefox Troubleshoot mode won't open either
• ipconfig /release & /flushdns & /renew
• netsh int ip reset & netsh winsock reset

When opening Firefox in any way, i get a white window/just the window border which immediatly closes. When trying to start troubleshoot mode, the small window has the same issue.

I also checked the crashlogs and none were generated. The Windows event-logger also has no entries.

I want to disable media controls overlay without disabling media keys. I wandered in config but couldn't prevail with said subject. Its a nice feature unless I have to stop a quite few times then its just a blockage for my much needed viewspace.

I am having an issue where youtube videos played at higher quality stutter when put to fullscreen. Up till about 720p60 works fine, at 1080p60 and above the framerate becomes unstable.

Things I have tried: - I have tried going into media.media-capabilities.enabled and changing it from false to true - I have set network.buffer.cache.size to 262144 - I have disabled all my plugins - I have tried changing my user agent to windows/chrome

My current setup: Firefox 122.0, Macbook pro Sonoma 14.1, Apple M1 Pro chip

Curiously, if I make a new firefox profile and play a video there, there is no stutter. Does anyone have ideas on how I can fix my current profile?

For years, I have had the Bookmark Toolbar always show on my initial page and all tabs at the top of page. Something happened and now it does not. I have tried resetting per instructions and it will show on my current page but then not show up my new tab and will disappear from the initial page. I tried a refresh to correct and that did not work either. I was able to get them to show on the left side of the screen but I much prefer them at the top and want to get back to that layout.

On this webpage on the link below, when the 'Comments' button is clicked, nothing happens. It works via the Chrome browser.

I want to convert a pdf file that I mistakenly had to generate when I deleted the original file. I want to convert the pdf sheet back to a Word doc so I can edit it.

Today I installed a new extension (Bitwarden) and want to add the icon to the toolbar. I can't find it anywhere. The add-on shows up in the add-on manager but there's nothing there to help me add the icon. The little puzzle piece in the upper right of the browser -- click on that and Bitwarden isn't listed.

How do I fix this? In Chrome there's a simple toggle switch in the extension manager to add the icon to the toolbar. Frankly, if I can't get this Bitwarden icon to display I can't use Firefox at all. Thanks.

I've noticed lately that my Firefox keeps freezing and hanging up at random periods for no apparent reason. I have very few plugins and it even happens with them all disabled and removed. I've tried resetting Firefox to default everything yet it makes no difference.

Also I can not clear history. I've tried multiple different clear history plugins but none of them work at all. And when I try the traditional way of clearing Firefox history the window pops up and then the entire browser just freezes while 'clearing' and never gives me back control, I have to force quit and restart to regain control. And then when I relaunch the history is still not cleared!

So aside from the constant lagging and lockups it seems that any attempt to delete history whether using the inbuilt function or adding plugins messes up the whole browser.

Googling this issue it seems others are having the exact same problem with Firefox and yet any suggested solutions (reset browser) don't seem to be working for may of them.. Or me.

For years had bookmarks in folders showing on Bookmark Toolbar. Today they are all gone. Still in my Bookmarks on the drop down Menu, but not appearing on the Toolbar. Please help. Can't seem to drop and drag them there. Also, the Bookmarks Toolbar keeps disappearing every time I go to look at a new tab.

Please add support for progressive web apps to firefox, it is the only reason why I have stopped using firefox in preference of chrome. Without this feature, we can't use websites in split screen without the search bar area eating into the web page.

Firefox won't start after updating to version 123.0 on Ubuntu OS.

At the same time, no errors will appear, and there is also no specific crash report that would help understand the reason.

How to restore the previous version without losing profile data?

There used to be an extension called "IE Tab". It allowed you to right click on the link, and open the site in a tab, using Internet Explorer, for sites that didn't work properly in Firefox. I was wondering if anybody knows of any similar extension that would do the same for Edge? I can't open Twitter (X) using Firefox anymore, but I can open it using Edge. I don't like Edge (obviously), but I have no choice. Thanks in advance!!!

I cannot download & installed any add-ons or themes. After clicking the install button, I always get a red bar saying "Download failed. Please check your connection.". This happens on Firefox, Firefox beta and Firefox nightly.

I did some googling and found similar posts from a few years ago. These seem to suggest I don't have the correct certificate used to verify extension signatures:

I checked my certificates and I don't have anything from "Mozilla Corporation - signingca1.addons.mozilla.org" (there's a screenshot of this cert in the first forum link above), so I think this is indeed the issue? I've attached a screenshot of my cert list where the Mozilla cert should be.

Please note I am on an M3 Pro macbook pro. It's a work laptop and I thought maybe our network settings were interfering with things, but my previous work laptop (Intel) could install add-ons just fine.

Would appreciate some help!

P.S. I found a workaround where I copied over all extension JSON and XPI files from my old laptop. So I am using my previous extensions just fine but still cannot download any new ones. Also I don't have access to my old laptop anymore so can't copy over any new ones.

Firefox will not allow my to post comments on Yahoo. I have no issues with Chrome or Safari. I get the following error message: Your comment failed to publish. Retry

I wish to save my bookmarks in alphabetical order, first the folders and then any bookmarks that have not yet been allocated to a specific folder. This used to be possible as I gave reorganised the older bookmark folders are in alphabeical order previously. This seems to be no longer posible. I can reorganise them in View but cannot save them. Am I doing something wrong? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. text
