Out of nowhere I got the sidebar today. An absolutely useless feature that I surely did not ask for. And there is no way of closing or removing it. Please provide a guide, to removing or hiding it PERMANENTLY!

Can someone please tell me how to disable the new Sidebar? It is interrupting all of my workflow on the screen and it is frustrating with all of the choice and customization options in Firefox, that there would be no way to disable it.

Seems like the newest Firefox update (131.0) changed the way my Home Page (on the new tab) looks. WHY??

Now there's a giant logo taking up a fifth of the vertical space, forcing me to scroll to see my shortcut icons. WHY????

Oh, and the shortcut icons are now spaced farther apart and are significantly smaller. WHY????????

I set browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.logowordmark.alwaysVisible to false but the logo is still present.

Please revert these changes. Or, if someone could provide me with some tips on how to edit the userchrome.css or whatever, that would be great.

New day, new glitch. Since the inception of weather showing on the Firefox landing page, it has accurately shown my location. Today, it is not only not my city, it is in another state. It also does not respond to my making a correction with my zip code. Can we expect a correction any time soon?

Please how do I stop these floating windows above the tabs in Firefox 131.0? They mostly cover up the tabs and make it difficult to impossible to open or close tabs. The floating window only half shows up above he tab. This is just insane and makes using Firefox almost to much to deal with. Every time I get near a tab the floating window appears and tells me what the tab already tells me. Come on this is GARBAGE!

I recently reloaded my M1 MacBook Air with macOS Sequoia. Ever since doing so, Firefox opens the right-click menu every time I press Control+Return (like when attempting to autocomplete a URL ending in .com, a feature I use quite frequently). It is only in Firefox that this happens, no other browser or program is doing this. I have uninstalled Firefox using AppCleaner, downloaded a new copy of Firefox 131.0 and reinstalled without any change in this behavior. Any ideas on what I can do to stop this so Control+Return only autocompletes a URL again?

There used to be a way to add a web site as a shortcut to the Home page by dragging the link and dropping it somewhere. Those instructions seem to have disappeared. One of the sites I had pinned to the Home page has changed. I can remove the old link (tile), but how do I add the new link as a tile? The help articles no longer provide any information about how to do this. Just "pinning' the page adds it to the toolbar, where I don't want it, but does not add it to the Home page. Do I have to just close and open that site a bunch of times in order to get it to appear???? There should be a more sensible way.

How the hell do I remove this crappy sidebar!?!?! Your suggestion of tapping the cog and clicking on sidebar button DOESN'T WORK! REMOVE IT! It is annoying, terrible! Why would you mess with something that didn't need to be fixed ? What are you, Jaguar? Remove it now, actually do something and fix it.

In other browsers when I add extensions, I can open an extension panel, or got the the browsers installed extensions section, and edit open up my extension setting pages, and edit them. For example uBlock Origin, but there are others. It doesn't seem possible to do such a thing with Firefox. Is that on purpose or is something wrong?

In the section: "Select text to see suggested prompts" there is a screenshot which shows pre-written prompts and a textbox from the shortcut for AI prompts menu. Is it possible to have custom promts which are added to this menu?

bold text Firefox is demanding that I sign in to my Amazon account with a passkey on my phone. I don't have a passkey on my phone. I cannot cancel the request!

I know I can hide the sidebar by clicking the button on the toolbar. But I'm used to opening my bookmarks and history with ctrl+b and ctrl+h, and being able to close them the same way. This still works to close the actual bookmarks/history, but the sidebar doesn't return to being hidden (despite being hidden before I opened them), it hangs around taking up space on the left of my screen. Even after I removed everything so it's just a useless blank rectangle with "customise sidebar" at the bottom, it defaults to staying open unless I click the button. It's really annoying. Is there any way to make it hide itself again automatically once I'm done using it?

I intended to change the language setting in my browser temporarily from English to Swedish. But now I cannot change it back to English. I see the option and I click on it but it does not do anything. I cannot even take away Swedish (svenska) as a language.

How do I turn this odd feature that dims FF bars when window loses focus? As of look of it only tabbar and toolbar are affected. I couldn't find anything relevant under "about:config". Also some tricks with CSS didn't work for me, maybe because I have custom chromeCSS that brings tabbar under bookmarksbar and applies other customization so that FF window looks like old good FF before they started to put everything on a single line in the bar. Does anyone know where Mozilla wallpapers are stored? I wanted to set a wallpaper from Mozilla's menu as the desktop wallpaper on my laptop. I looked for hidden files and checked the forums, but I can't find them in the given locations e.g. my profile. Maybe these files are masked somehow. I'm looking for particular wallpaper from the abstraction category (screenshot). Can anyone tell me how to find it?
