Try as hard as I may from all the Help screens, I cannt find a solution to how to permanently pin the Bookmark Toolbar to the side of the screen in my version of Firefox which is 129.0.2 in Windows 11. The option to pin the toolbar where the user wants it to appear seems to have vanished. Am I correct?

The only options I can find in Firefox now are Show Toolbar and it will only appear across the top of the screen (unless I Ctrl+B); Show in new tab or Hide.

Ctrl+B will bring up the tool bar, say to the left, but when Firefox is closed and re-opened there is the need to Ctrl+B again to redisplay the toolbar. My experience of Windows 10 was that everytime I opened Firefox my side bar for Bookmarks automatically appeared because I had always been able to pin it there.

Please help to restore the function, if it hasn't been removed through updates.

I cannot open subsidiary pages in my CIBC account after spending ten minutes to get into the account page because there are so many levels of protection. Once I am in I should be able to go from page to page easily.

The bank I use, requires a Username and a PW AND a number generated from what they call a token and I call a dongle. For the last while, on Firefox, I can get in. No problem, The moment I get the 'pay a beneficiary' screen I am 'chucked off' as it has 'timed out'. Second logon goes fine and I have no further problems. If I change the browser, so NOT Firefox, (and not Chrome) no problem at all. Not chucked off. I have used the internet bank and system for years, withe Firefox. Firefox is my browser of choice (it's a long story), so I'd like to continue. The bank's could-not-care-less attitude was 'use Chrome'. 1.I dislike Chrome & 2.How can my bank dictate what browser I use?

So basically i had done what i need to do base on the advice in

i had added chrome file in the profile folder and done all as the picture shown below

after that i do about:config make legacy -> false to true, i do a restart my windows and check on profile folder it change to .... Firefox\Profiles\*censored*.default-release

• i censored it afraid that it was a important information (im not a techno guy)

but it doesnt change a thing. i was playing diep.io and agar.io whenever i hover it to the top it still poppin up

any suggestion?

since some updates the video display in full screen mode darkens my second screen. but i still want to be able to watch videos in full screen mode on both screens. how do i set this?

Firefox will not run on my Apple Desktop any more. I have re-installed several times - still comes up "not responding" and I have to force quit.

I keep getting a firefox upload display for a old file explorer. I should be showing the current file explore data. Why am I getting the message 'firefox upload and not just file explorer. Firefox in an enterprise environment. AppAutoUpdate=1 and BackgroundAppUpdate=1 My goal is to have PC's automatically update so Tennable Vul Scan doesn't go critical every other week. This is affecting most of the PC's as far as I can tell in our environment. If the user actually opens Firefox and uses it, that appears to resolve the issue.

Task Scheduler successfully completed task "\Mozilla\Firefox Background Update 308046B0AF4A39CB" , instance "{e8f86ec1-b3c9-4591-ad09-3bb858dece98}" , action "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" with return code 2147942421.

It's my understanding that this operation should be handled by Mozilla Maintenace Service and should be able to update in the background every 7 hours if the browser is not opened.

Couldn't find this return code associated with Firefox so I'm hoping the pros here have some insight!

Manually pushing the installer is time consuming and like many companies who like to use Firefox as an alternative browser not running Chromium and/or for their IT dept I'm considering removing it from the environment due to the background updates being difficult compared to Chrome. Chrome has the force restart, etc for GPO.

Since this last Windows update whenever I try and start Firefox I get told there is an instance already running, which it isnt and I can't open a new one. Any solutions?

Can you please assist with issues that I am experiencing with LinkedIn not loading on Firefox? I have attached four examples, and summarised following. LinkedIn is working when accessing by Edge: on the same laptop, or by another computer. A summary of the four examples follows: 1. Another user’s feed not loading, 2. Group feed not loading, 3. My profile page not loading, and 4. Group feed not loading. The only control that relatively works is regular refreshing, though this is inconsistent, and is generally ineffective e.g. my feed may only be for a couple of: minutes, or hours; despite many refreshes, instead of > six hours with confidence by scrolling. The issue has been occurring for the previous four days, and other users are apparently experiencing similar, refer following. I unsuccessfully trailed the following: 1. Various minor setting modifications according to historical posts - I cannot recall all of the specifics, 2. Clear cache etc, and DNS flush, 3. Log in/out/restart, and 4. New profile.

I speculate may be a LinkedIn "bot" control feature, and my use appears like a "bot" - though I do not use any automated features. The justification for the “bot” speculation is the new profile apparently worked, prior to commencing my normal use - opening multiple tabs with LinkedIn, though this may be a coincidence. I also speculate that if was a "bot" control feature, LinkedIn would restrict my account, though is inconsistent with using by Edge.

The following may also be coincidental, though I have observed that emails in my Outlook webmail are slow to load, and occasionally require refreshing to read etc.
