I've used Firefox for 20 years through the various iterations of Windows, and have been using it trouble free on Windows 11 since November 2024. Two days ago, however, When I tried to open the Guardian site (www.theguardian.com) it would open very slowly and not load and of the pictures. This gradually got worse, the site taking for ever to open at all, and always with the little dot in the tab at the top left going from side to side showing it was still loading. I have tried everything I can think of. Opened in troubleshoot mode, changed DNS settings, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox twice (one time to see if it would work normally if I didn't actually sign in to my account). All to no avail. In fact now things are worse, in that the GOV.Uk website is now giving me similar problems - and a few other sites have become slightly slow and reluctant to open as well. My internet connection seems fine, and all these sites open without any trouble on Microsoft Edge. I am NOT very good at tech, and I am now tearing my heair out as to what I can try next.

Any help wopuld be gratefully received!

no matter what I try to search get error messages . Just started. Have used ESET security and Firefox for years with no issue till now. Did you change something? Don't get errors with MS EDGE.

Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich Esset home auf meinen Computer und mein Tablett installiert. Immer wenn ich das Internet (FireFox) öffne kommt die Warnmeldung "Sicheres Banking & Surfen ist erst nach einem Neustart des Computers voll funktionsfähig." Den Neustart habe ich bereits mehrmals veranlasst. Die Warnmeldung kommt aber immer wieder. Was soll ich machen? Bin ich beim OnlineBanking und Surfen nicht sicher?

Firefox is not allowing me to reach links to medical portal websites to set up accounts saying they can't reach the site and perhaps a firewall is blocking it. I have other accounts on this same portal... HELP please.

Why is my Facebook contact list missing from the right side when I log into Facebook since I added VPN and disabled VPN is this a firefox issue or Facebook issue .

Randomly but now very frequent when I type into the search box for a known site Norton is blocking and saying " Protocol Error Unable to open the site" Recommends contacting Firefox" Norton message says We prevented your connection to orbitsearchonline.com because of dangerous webpage. But I have never tried to connect to this website. This started after the new update to Firefox about a week ago. Can you help please.

Error message: the bookmarks and history system will no be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem.

I tried following the directions in "learn more" but to no avail. Please help this senior citizen get his bookmarks back! Thank you.

Every time I access the web I get a report from Norton saying "Threat secured". It attaches every single website that I open. See attachment for some exmaples (only variabole part of message shown apart from first one).This is occuring 50+ times a day but does not occur using Edge, so it appears to be related to Firefox. PLEASE help. Norton have not helped with this. Thank you- Colin O'Brien

Firefox FREQUENTLY totally removes added applications attached and it totally screw up my ability to access anything when you remove my Bitdefender application from access then I have to again EXPLORE added applicaitons!!

Some URLs e.g. Costco.ca, amazon.ca etc will not load. I use FF and also have Chrome, Edge that have the same problem. One must assume that it is a settings problem with my Bosgame/Ryzen7 PC.

I am wondering if it is possibly caused by FF with all the safety build into it's design.? I have tried many items regarding the situation.

I am trying to set up a vpn using Proton as a Firefox add-in but Firefox won't let me use it, saying it has invalid credentials. I can't contact Proton because if I enable it as an add-in to Firefox, I can't use my browser. Do you know of any other vpn networks that work securely with Firefox?

Hello. I'd wriitten a few days ago about being blocked from firemountaingems.com I got help from Issis B. and was able to browse the site by turning off the VPN temporarily. Today, I am again blocked even with the temporary turn off of the VPN.

Is there a way you can show me easily step by step, how to exclude certain sites from the VPN permanently.

Ich habe die Firefox-Einstellungen von einem alten Windows10 Rechner auf den neuen Windows11 PC mit den Profildateien übertragen, hat gut geklappt.. Jetzt hatte ich die Meldung erhalten " der Treiber cpuz419_x64.sys konnte nicht installiert werden wegen möglicher Virus-Gefährdung", als Abhilfe wurde angeboten die Ker-Sicherung auszuschlaten. Das habe ich mir nicht getraut. Als weitere Info erschien eine Seite, auf der "Windows10" unterstrichen war. Könnte das alte Profil dem Rechner vorgaukeln, dass ich Windows 10 nutze?bold text
