Good day

Will Firefox with the npapi plugin installed, block Flash from dec 31 or will there be a possibility to keep using Flashplayer material in 2021 but unsupported?

So my pc restarted overnight due to automatic windows updates, and it appears that from that point at midnight, to 10am PST, most of my firefox addons have stopped working/functioning all together.

Currently running the following: Alternate player for Twitch.tv BetterTTV Dark Reader Duckduckgo Privacy essentials facebook container privacy badger Reddit Enhancement Suite Ublock origin.

I've tried disabling all extensions and running them one at a time, with very little luck. None of them seem to function any more and clicking icons for the addons seems to just 'hang' on a loading page of sorts (See photo). Ublock options pictured in the second photo just hang on that setting page.

I have been requested to uninstall Adobe Flash player. I am still using Flash Player for some web sites and am ask to activate before video will work. At the end of the year I am told that Flash Player will no longer work. I asked one of the sites what I should do and they recommended using Chrome and html5 to watch video. I have also checked several sites to see what can be done with Firefox to continue watching video without changing browsers. I wish Firefox would put out a step by step process to fix this problem and allow me to use html5 in a Firefox browser. I am reluctant to uninstall Flash Player until I understand how to make html5 or whatever is required to continue to watch live stream and youtube. It looks like I have until January before Flash Player is inoperative. BTW, I have Firefox version 82, running Win10 with Shockwave Flash 32.0 r0. Jay

Эти проблемы мне очень надоели и я решил удалить этот браузер и использовать mozila firefox. все проблемы пропали, новый браузер мне очень нравится. Но в нем есть одна проблема. Это поддержка adobe flash player, я редко им пользуюсь, но я проверял все возможности mozila firefox. например, в flash-приложении "flash guitar hero" на сайте vk.com количество кадров в секунду (FPS) очень плохое..... в то же время в браузере EDGE все работает прекрасно, FPS не меньше 60.... кажется, это не единственная проблема, связанная с adobe flash player.... может у вас есть совет как исправить это? или я надеюсь что вы работаете над этим БАГОМ. если честно - мне нравится все в mozila firefox, но мне не нравится то, что я должен использовать EDGE чтобы играть в любимую игру.... надеюсь на ваше понимание.

I noticed today that I.E. was ending support for flash and removing it from Windows entirely. I headed to Firefox and found essentially the same announcement.

I am wondering how Mozilla sees this affecting the existing web and why it is ostensibly being supported? My understanding is that a significant portion of the web makes use of flash and is no longer maintained, meaning that there will be no porting to html5. I know that the internet archives has started developing an alternative to flash in order to maintain the ability to view these websites. Why did Mozilla not go with that approach? Are there any links to discussion pages about this topic where I can read more about the decision?

With Adobe Flash Player ceasing on Dec. 31 - Mozilla is supposed to be one of the Browsers that supports another Flash Player. Wher ?, How ?, do i find the Flash Player to use in Mozilla  ?

For some reason, since I uninstalled Flash (as requested by Adobe) I'll be scrolling through Tumblr and some images will load, but there will be like green pixelated splotches throughout them like they aren't loading correctly? I can't send a screenshot because in the screenshots they look fine, but on my screen they seem to be not loading properly? Or just glitching in some way?

So, with official support for Adobe Flash Player finally ending on December 31st, 2020, is it safe to remove/uninstall its Plugin for Firefox browser, and how will it effect me using Firefox in the future?

Today FF removed Flash while I was in the middle of listening to a music broadcast. Suddenly I had no sound. I panicked. I checked everything but it all looked ok. I opened another browser (Microsoft Edge) and I did have sound there. I know Flash is going away but I listen to a lot of video and need to know what it is I am supposed to do in order to get sound in FF. I run Win10 Home, version 1909. installed on 1/14/2020. What I did was to reinstall Flash and then finished listening to my shows. I hope you are able to help me. Thanks Helene

My site is unilangstalk.co.kr This is the Learning Program site. I watch videos on flash programs in class. I allowed the flash, but the white screen appears, only loading continues, and the video cannot be played. What's the problem? The children have to have a class. Please give me a reply.

I am using firefox 85.0 will i still be able to play flash games without above flash player either on Firefox or at all on my computer. how do i play flash games with out it

I have downloaded Firefox ESR and the Flash add-on. When I install for testing, it show the Flash disabled icon. What can I do to fix this as we will need this for our website that we have to have access to.

Firefox on the new browser does not support Flash player even though all I repeat all game sites use Flash player, I tried to play one of my favorites online games and guess what it say that my browser Firefox has no support for Flash player in the general also YouTube will not play in Firefox because they use Flash player components, so turn Flash player on because there is millions no wait billions no wait trillions that use Firefox that love Flash player so please turn Flash player on please I and others want to play our online Flash player user games on Firefox. Thank you turn it back on

I know that adobe has stopped support for flash. But what is the reason to also prohibit playing locally stored content? I see no security risk with old content e.g. from tutorials or learning courses. Disabling flash everywhere is making all this legacy content useless. And often there is not even a replacement available. Is there a solution to the problem?

Yet on some learning websites that use Flash still, like alison.com but it doesn't really matter where right, it shows this where the flash app should be and all blank white around it: (see "capture" screenshot below)

And I can't click on it nor is there a pop-up bar nor a little plugin icon at the beginning of the URL / address box to click on.

How do i enable it?

I am not able to run flash player , it is giving error "shockwave flash is known to be vulnerable and should be updated" but "update now" does not work. Flash stopped working after 12 Jan 2021.

I have reinstalled firefox ( fresh installation - version 84.0.2 ) and uninstalled flash player using "uninstall_flash_player" , again installed install_flash_player after closing all browsers. Still it does not work. Please find attached images.

Is there any way to fix the issue ?
