My version is the most recent, 152.0.6.

After a few minutes, text searches in the address bar unpredictably stop working. This might happen right away, or it may take a while. The result is always Secure Connection Failed The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

Here are the problems that I encounter literally every day: Randomly unable to access GMail: account selection entry screen does not respond, or drop-down account selection when logged on does not respond. Randomly unable to access URLs embedded in emails. Browser locks up unpredictably. Videos in Facebook randomly fail to render: the audio plays, but the bottom half of screen completely blanks. Randomly unable to access websites in general: "secure connection failed". Randomly refuses to search for terms entered in the address bar, with "secure connection failed". Widgets on web pages randomly fail to respond.

I'm using the VPN that comes with my AV package, and turning it off makes everything work again. However, I'm certainly not going to turn off part of my web protection (which I am paying for) in order to get Firefox to perform basic browser capabilities. TBH, all of this started when Firefox started aggressively promoting their own VPN, so it's quite tempting to put two and two together.

I would prefer not to resort to Edge or Chrome, but at this point I don't see an alternative as they do not have these problems and Firefox has basically become unusable.

My anitvirus software is blocking a website that I use. Its legitimate. How can I unblock it?

I've been looking at firewall logs for my client and router software firewalls. My 3rd party firewall flags repeated outgoing TCP packets to IP 34.149.100.209 as coming from Firefox and 'Restricted', although restricted is the firewall apps syntax. When I look at the router firewall on WAN it was seeing the same IP outgoing. These packets only originate when Firefox (latest version) opens. Perhaps there's nothing to worry about or it's there to poll for those who want to select a Google search engine? Anyway, I've added a rule in the router to block the IP, although I think Google use other IPs.

There is plenty of web discussion to REMOVE restricted from Firefox but I want to make sure 'Restricted' in my case means BLOCKED, is that possible or do I misunderstand what restricted means? Thanks

How do I stop Norton and McAfee pop-up windows appearing continuously on a Windows 10 computer. They are saying that their subscription are out of date. But their protection software is not installed. The computer has Malwarebytes virus protection installed

Like many, I have Windows 10 and cannot upgrade to Windows 11 without purchasing a new computer. I don't want the upgrade as my desktop computing needs are simple -- checking email and occasional online research. I am looking at 0patch as a solution to Microsoft discontinuing support for Windows 10 and want to know if Firefox will operate compatibly with 0patch providing security patches instead of Microsoft.

Error message: the bookmarks and history system will no be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem.

Hello. I'd wriitten a few days ago about being blocked from firemountaingems.com I got help from Issis B. and was able to browse the site by turning off the VPN temporarily. Today, I am again blocked even with the temporary turn off of the VPN.

Is there a way you can show me easily step by step, how to exclude certain sites from the VPN permanently.

My personal computer's Firefox says the browser is controlled by enterprise. I have no enterprise.

How does this Enterprise policy get set? And how can I remove it?

Pandora tries to start, but it bounces from artist to artist without playing. Never had this happen before. Pandora suggests there is an overzealous ad blocker at work. Can you help?

Sinne yesterday night my Firefox don't work anymore. The online thing i can get is this : bp-fa8b47ab-4fb5-42de-ae52-3a3620250817 I think this the Failurecode. I tried everything, like clean the Cash, set the Proxy to non use, the clean up Option everything. I deinstall it and install it new, but the Problems still exist. The only Change is the Failurecode. The new one is : 6f317949-b419-45cc-a9ea-27e0052ee481 Any other Browser also didn't work, like Edge or Opera. The start but doesn't load any Seite. When I open a new tab and enter any website name I cannot connect to any site and this has only just started The message I get reads cannot connect to server at gb.search.yahoo.com

I was tracing some network activity for an unrelated issue and noticed that when FF starts up it immediately makes multiple TCP connections to livejasmin.com. I have this site blocked by the Windows Firewall and have the host file direct it to 127.0.0.1 so nothing is actually going in or out, but why is FF doing this and how can I fix whatever was done to enable this happening?

I have cleared all cookies and cache, and disabled all addons, and even started in safe mode, but regardless of what I do the very 1st connections that FF makes are always to livejasmin.com, which is obviously not a legit place for FF to be doing any of its routine updates or optimization tasks. My home page is https://google.com and the livejasmin.com connections appear before the 1st attempt to connect to google so this is clearly something malicious that found a way to get into FF early in the startup process.

I have also run 2 different scans tools on the entire computer and both found nothing. I have reviewed all the running processes and do not see anything suspicious either. I do not see this issue with Chrome or Edge, just FF which is my primary browser. All browsers are updated to the latest version as well as the WIN10 OS.

I have also removed my profile and started FF up without the profile, and I noticed the livejasmin.com connections again while the FF "your profile cannot be found" error message popped up. When I had FF make a new profile and set it as the default the same connections to livejasmin.com were made when I restarted FF with the new profile. So it is not tied to my profile.

I know the sites are secure (unless something is happening that I don't know about). I just want to get onto them, especially the Christmas site. Is it to do with Bitdefender?? I hope someone can help as the letter I want to write is getting time sensitive.

When I try loading certain sites while using Proton VPN i get the following error message: Server Not Found. If I disable Proton VPN and enable the VPN on Firefox the site come right up. Can someone please tell me why this happens and how I can make these load using Proton VPN?

I get the following pop ups, the blue-green ones in images. When I click "CANCEL" I get the McAfee window shown. Can't find where the popups are coming from. I was able to get rid of on another computer by uninstalling Firefox, but lost stuff. I use ESet now and wouldn't go near McAfee again. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?
