I have over 2000 tabs stored in multiple tab groups using the Legacy extension "TAB GROUPS" in Firefox 56. I recognize this is out of date and I was going to migrate the tabs to the current version. I was unaware that Tab Group would no longer be verified as of March 14. I need to save all of the tabs in TAB GROUPS to favorites. Is there someway to temporarily enable TAB GROUPS so I can recover the websites? Is there a session file that has the websites that I can access? Help - I am in desperate need!

Hi, Recently had to reset my Pc and on installing firefox I find that I am unable to keep open the tabs I use daily, I keep getting the -close 7 tabs - I do not want to close my tabs on closure. Firefox always used to close - No asking to close tabs - and when I reopen all my tabs were still tghere. Whats Changed?

The drag, pause, and drop maneuver is not working for me. I have the latest version of Firefox. Any ideas? I'd really like to be able to use this new feature. Thanks!

the tab grouping was advertised to me on my startup page? but evidently version 138 isn't compatible? And would you please help us wean off google as much as possible?

Just wondering, are the Tab Groups only saved locally or also on the Account? Have also heard that the Tab Groups feature has sometimes been disabled by itself, when re-opening Firefox, and they lost all their groups and had to enable the feature again. But I don't know anything else about that, and just would like to know, if the Tab Groups can be or are saved on the Mozilla Account.

I have many more tabs open in the background then I actually have. I am not good at this but I can give what I know I am experiencing. 1st photo has16 tabs open in pc's task manager 2nd photo shows that I only had 2 tabs open in Firefox browser 3rd picture show 19 in task manager. I expanded in task manager the Firefox app and right clicked to end task to remove what might be ghosts tabs running in task manager. ----That did not work There are currently 6 of them that has the efficiency mode on the 19 tabs.

Firefox is getting complicating for my abilities but I appreciate using Firefox for all the flexibility. I usually ask a friend to set me up or help but he is unavailable and this seems to be above his head to. Crossing my fingers for a easy solution. Thank you, Happycamper

I'm really enjoying the new Tab Groups feature in Firefox. It helps me organize my tabs especially when I have multiple work to do. However, I've found the process a bit tricky because dragging the tabs sometimes moves the tabs and it takes some time for the Groups dialog to show. It's a bit frustrating.

It would be great to have a modifier key, like holding down shift or alt while dragging the tab, to instantly move them to a group or any of the groups without accidentally rearranging them. This would make the grouping process feel more precise.

How can i find an open tab that is playing sound ? I sometimes leave 40 + youtube tabs open and i would like an easier way to find which one is playing. Thanks !

There is a special tab area at far left side of tab bar. I once put a site there, but can't recall how to add more. The image included should answer further questions you may have regarding my query.

Support Firefox to be able to use different tab view modes on different windows! For example, two Firefox windows on different monitors, in my situation below:

- One on a 1920*1080 hori screen, with vertical tab sidebar disabled - One on a 1080*1920 vert screen, with vertical tab sidebar enabled for this window only in this case.

It brings much more convenience, at least for situations just like mine :)

I love having the ability to group some of my tabs but I'm wondering if it's possible to create "subgroups" of tabs inside of a "group". For instance, it would be very confusing & even chaotic to have one tab group named "Computers" that has tabs for sites where I buy computers/parts/software, sites where I go to for support for my hardware/software issues, & sites where where I can read reviews about the up & coming new hardware/software. However, the chaos would go away if I could have 3 tab subgroups (Shopping, Support, & News) UNDER a "top level" tab named "Computers".

From what I've been able to find on the Firefox website, this capability is not yet available but I'm wondering if it's something that's currently in development. If not, I would like to suggest that it be seriously considered. I realize that some people could take this kind of capability to the extreme, with hundreds of tabs organized using multiple "sub-tiers" & trying to develop something to support the extreme cases would be a nightmare. However, the ability to even two levels (groups & 1 level of subgroups) would be a HUGE improvement over the current situation.

Since I updated firefox a day or so ago, the tabs on my tab bar display at the top of the window change width to add the audio icon when the tab starts playing audio, which I find distracting especially when the active tab plays audio intermittently in response to my interactions with the tab. I couldn't find anything about that in the settings page. How do I turn this off so that tabs in the tab bar (at least the active tab) stay the same width?

I have several windows that won't open upon starting Firefox. I had 7 windows with multiple tabs open when last closed. They usually all open again (per my settings) when I open, but this time only 2 opened. I ultimately moved all tabs to new windows, but one window that has only one tab with "OneTab" (from the OneTab extension) in it won't open. And I can't move that tab anywhere. That "Onetab" has multiple important tab. Any idea for solutions?

More frequently than I care to admit, I seem to close FF instances which I don't want to close (such as my connection to Whatsapp). I then miss important replies or questions. Of course I can reach out to 'History' and try to find the closed Tab or Window... But that takes time.

I'd suggest adding/removing a 'protection' flag to a tab (eg. on right-clicking), so that, on trying to close the tab, or close the window containing the tab, I get a warning...

I regularly use a website which intercepts command-option-up and command-option-down for its own navigation. This is a central part of my workflow with this website, and without it it becomes completely unusable.

After updating to Firefox 140.0.4, these shortcuts are now used by the browser to switch tabs. I have not found any way to configure this. Am I missing some obscure way to do this or is this just impossible?

I imagine this change was made to support vertical tabs, but I'm not using those, so the command-option-left and command-option-right shortcuts make more sense for my horizontal setup. (I don't use those shortcuts either, though- I use ctrl-tab and ctrl-shift-tab!)

Hi a few well known sites annoyingly load booking.com in a new tab on my firebox browser. I cant stand this it is intrusive. How to I stop firefox from doing this - I have block pops setting enabled but does not help.

Offending sites to name but a few are ryanair, thetrainline, and a few others. Is there a way to stop this without stopping other legitimate needed new tabs such as with Gmail login
